Memory for laptop HP Pavilion g7-2275dx

It says on the specifications there are two user accessible memory locations, but it does not say what the maximum memory! I am interested in adding another 4 GB of ram to my computer, but if she can't manage I prefer not to waste my time and money trying. Help finding my maximum memory would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello:

HP is aware of the drivers missing from the problem of support pages and is working to address.

It affects hundreds of laptop models.

Because I do not work for HP, I don't know when the sites will be operational again.

This happened once before, so I hope they have learned from the experience past how solve the problem.

With the feast of Thanksgiving in the United States, which has delayed things, I'm sure.

We are on the fourth day of this problem.

Please take the following steps so that I know what model of laptop wireless card uses...

Go to Device Manager and click on the network controller needing drivers.

Then click on the Details tab at the top of the control of the network window.

Now, you see a drop-down list of property and it is set by default to the Description of the unit.

On this list and select the second element (Hardware ID).

After the first string of characters you see in the window that begin with PCI\VEN:

  • Upgrading CPU for laptop HP Pavilion ze2355ea?

    Hello

My first post - please be gentle!

Can someone tell me if it's worth upgrading my CPU to a 1.6 GHz AMD Turion™ 64 processor ML-30, say, a ML-40 2.2 GHz or 2.4 GHz ML-44?

And if it's worth the upgrade, I would find a significant difference in performance between the ML - 44 (available on ebay for over US$ 120) or the ML-40 (around US $60 or less).  Do I have other options for a CPU upgrade that correspond to a Socket 754?

Some background info: I have a ze2355ea HP Pavilion 6 years old Notebook, running Windows XP (Service Pack 3), with original material specification following:

    Microprocessor AMD Turion™ 64 processor ML-30

The microprocessor Cache Memory 1 MB level 2 cache

    Memory 1024 MB DDR 333 MHz (2 x 512 MB)

Max memory up to 1 GB

Video Graphics ATI RADEON® XPRESS 200 M IGP graphics card

128 MB of shared video memory

Hard drive 60 GB 4200 RPM

Multimedia player DVD Writer double Format (+/-R +/-RW) with support Double layer

    15.0 "XGA TFT Brightview display

I am not in a position to buy a new laptop now, but desperately need to improve performance and storage for internet streaming video and RAW photo editing.

So, I've recently updated the RAM 2 x 1 GB ByteStor, and a 160 GB 5400 RPM Samsung HARD disc.  I've also updated my BIOS and other drivers with the latest versions, I can find.

The increased capacity of the HARD disk is large and HARD drive access times are significantly improved, but the doubling of RAM from 1 GB to 2 GB did me not increase speed and stability that I expected to when running resource hungry applications in resources, such as RAW photo editors.

But back to my questions of title.  It's worth the shot of upgrading me the 1.6 GHz AMD Turion™ 64 processor ML-30, for a 2.2 GHz ML-40 or 2.4 GHz ML-44? Can I find a noticeable difference in performance between the ML - 44 (available on ebay for over US$ 120) or the ML-40 (around US $60 or less).  Do I have other options for a CPU upgrade that correspond to a Socket 754?

I'm perfectly comfortable disassembling and rebuilding my laptop, after already taking part to resolder a doubtful DC power outlet, so falling into a new CPU doesn't discourage me.  I would like to just some assurance that I would spend my money wisely.

Thank you very much in advance for any advice.

    Hello

The only faster processors that are compatible with the motherboard of your laptop are the:

    Mobile AMD Turion 64 ML-37 (2.0 GHz)

    Mobile AMD Turion 64 ML - 34 (1.80 GHz)

    Mobile AMD Turion 64 ML - 32 (1.80 GHz)

The 40 ML and ML-44 are not supported by the BIOS.  It would be a waste of your money to buy.  The Mobile AMD Turion 64 ML-37 (2.0 GHz) is a supported processor. Given that the increase would be + 400 mhz it would be a significant increase in performance.

    Best regards

    Hello sorbet

I found the information that your laptop can handle with 512 MB max. I guess that your device already has 256 MB. You can use the second 256 MB module and put it in a second slot.

Part number for the module memory of 256 MB is PA3127U - 1. 25 M.
