Memory full. HPW to identify and remove duplicate files. great western digital external hard drive is that it is not working properly
hsving obvous problem assostated with little or no space drive. slow operion of progtams "program does not" and 'unable to write' trusted sites.
Sometimes when the hard disk becomes incredibly full, you can even copy files to an external hard drive. In such cases, simply pull the disk and put in a USB external hard drive case. Attach it to a working computer and copy the data in this way, either on a drive in the system of work or another external hard drive (it will be slower). Delete the data out of the full disc. Redesign existing external hard disks and still 6 Lightroom able to find existing photos.
I currently store my pictures on and an external hard drive. Lightroom 6 was not able to find the picture momentarily files. I inserted an external Flash DRIVE after removing the hard drive and the computer renamed the stick with the same drive letter that has been designated by Lightroom to store my photos. I could go into my Windows 10 and reset the player to the letter that Lightroom has given at the beginning of the external hard drive. However, I know this can happen again, if I connect any stick USD or another device, while the external hard drive is not connected to my laptop. I found the information that I can do the new designation of the final drive by choosing a letter it is 1/2 way or higher in the alphabet. I would like to turn an external hard drive on a strong letter, warns we hope this previous problem. My question is, if I already have a lot of pictures on this external hardrive with the designation of the current drive, how it becomes a higher letter and have 6 Lightroom recognizes files, now under the new designation of drive letter without having to go to each photo individually and manually force Lightroom 6 find each photo. It would take more time than I'd like to lose. Is there a way to get just 6 Lightroom to recognize the new disk designation has changed and is able to find all of the existing files?
I have read the ADOBE LightRoom 6 manual and seem not to be able to find anything on how to do it.
Any help would be welcome.
Thank you!
So in Windows, you can select a drive like q letter (or any other letter you want only towards the end of the alphabet)
Then in Lightroom, you can reconnect to the photos on q: the following instructions (see specifically 4 Figure and related text)

How can I identify the name of the invisible file for a backup file successfully to an external hard drive USB2 separate? I use Windows Vista backup program (Service Pack 2), and I need to do backups plus two from other computers on the same external hard drive. To do this, I think I would need to identify each backup file separate I know which file to specify if I need to do a restore.
How can I accomplish this? The program does not seem to give me the ability to specify a file to which to write the backup during a given session files. In addition, I do not understand why I can not see the file name in Windows Explorer - my files options are defined to be able to view hidden and system. Would be grateful for any help you can provide, tonight if possible. Best regards, Oliver for Norm

I used a program called IntelliMover and think that it flies over the files and unnecessary files. How can I identify and delete these files?
If make sure you that the files are not used by some programs or windows, then, the answer is YES.
Easier would be, just look for duplicates in the folders where the files are not required by Windows or programs. -
Hello.
I am aware that this issue (or different versions of it) will be requested a thousand times before, but after searching on the internet for a solution, I have been unable to find all the information that brings a simple clear answer that is specific to my problem and so thought I would ask the question myself.
I recently bought a Toshiba 1 TB external hard drive to transfer music, photo files and internal document in front of the memory of my old PC running Windows, as well as files, music and photos from my existing MacBook Pro, so I can "release" the memory on the latter.
Transfer files from the old PC proved to be easy; success achieved by simple drag / drop the files to the appropriate location on the external HD icon of Toshiba which appears once I connected to a USB port. It is perhaps worth mentioning that the area of States hard drive has been formatted NTFS for Windows, and so I guess that I would not have expected any problems when transferred to a PC.
Move the files from my MacBook has however proved anything but simple and trying to drag the respective music and photo files and drop them on the HD Toshiba icon (which appears on my desktop once it is plugged), I seem to be affected by the same issues as so much seems to have it before me, in that "forbidden access" / error symbol appears with the cursor , and bounce the files to their original location whenever I try to place them on the Toshiba HD.
I understand that this is due to the HD is formatted in NTFS, and that I would need to reformat the hard drive to move files from my MacBook, which brings me to my questions:-
(a) how do I do this, and
(b) can I do this without losing, damage or remove the NTFS files from my old PC, which are already stored on the external hard drive.
If one is able to offer any assistance, in the most simple, easy to follow the description, I would be really grateful!
Never been so thanks in advance!
1 install software such as Paragon NTFS on the Mac and let the reader in its current form or from the Finder, choose utilities go to menu, open disk utility and reformat.
2. that by putting a copy on another drive. You should do this anyway, in case of failure of this drive.

Original title: bitllocker Windows 7 issue
Hello
I recently updated my motherboard, processor and RAM, but I kept my original 500 GB hard drive, and equipped with a hard drive 2 TB extra, after the upgrade, I downloaded windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. After the upgrade I plugged my external hard drive (which has all my stuff important on it, that is to say the photo, video etc.) to realize that I had he encrypted with bitlocker on my old sysem. It allows Me to enter my password, it looks for a USB flash drive key, I did not. My question is:
Can I replace my old system with the old motherboard, hard drive and the original RAM to remove the external hard drive for bitlocker?
I still have the file windows.old on my hard drive, I have to restore it and remove the most recent version of windows 7 off the drive. I do this before I rebuild my old PC? I'm stuck here and would not lose all my photos (the wife would kill me!) I would appreciate your help.
Hello
Reassembly of the old computer won't help. You will always need the key to open the Bitlocker.
You can read the articles and check:

How to identify and eliminate duplicate files?

There are many programs that can check duplicate files if you are unsure of which are copies.
Here are two free programs:

I thought I was doing the right thing, but now it is clear that I was not properly clean even if I was very gentle. Why the screen lights up or really light up at all. Completely black and the keyboard does not light either. Someone has an idea? Thank you
Unfortunately, vacuums are very statically charge and their use within electronic devices is usually not a good idea. It is very possible that the discharges of static electricity has damaged your iMac.
I hope that you unplugged the iMac before cleaning. Make sure that the iMac is reconnected.

How to identify and remove duplicate on my PC files
My disk space is three quarters full and I cannot understand why. I transferred photos and video files to a USB stick and he released a part, but it seems that I have files duplicated in different places. Is there a procedure to identify the files / folders to eliminate duplication and free up more disk space?
Really exactly depends on where you see what you believe are duplicates.
Your unknown version of victory would save by default in the location of Documents, and what you may see is only pointers (shortcuts) in several places, to the underlying data.
First run Disk Cleanup

I want to display and print HTML file I recorded on my hard drive.
On the Symantec Web site, when I clicked for more information, he has opened a web page, but the Firefox menu did not appear in the upper right corner. I wanted to print the page. I right click to save the page on my hard drive. I still want to print it. What should I do?
In almost all situations, Ctrl + p should call the print dialog box. (Unfortunately, there is not a similar shortcut to go to preview before printing, so you can see what you will get.)

How can I run a program back through windows 7? DOSbox? zinstall? Or loading of a xp via external hard drive? Any help is appreciated, thanks.
DOSbox or BACK (or XP or another 32-bit version of WIndows) on a virtual machine.
An external hard drive can be used only if it is connected by SATA (not USB). In this case, it seems to be an internal drive.
If you have Windows 7 Professional, you can use XP Mode. Otherwise, use VMWare Player http://www.vmware.com/products/player/, Virtualbox http://www.virtualbox.org/ or Windows Virtual PC http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx to host your virtual machine.
