ePrint Installation

Hello

I am new to this forum and HP ePrint. I try to install my printer with him but I have problems. My printer is a HP Officejet 6500 E709N. The computers, for that I'm trying to use this are windows 7 64 bit and windows 7 32 bit.

When I put up online, it says I need an e-mail address of printer and it gives me instructions. It says on the printer to go into settings and then web services. The problem is when I go into settings there is no 'web services'. If you can help me solve my problem or guide me step by step how to install my printer it would be great.

Chris

Hi, your printer is not an active web template and this is why there is no option 'web services' on the front panel. It does not support the printing application mobile ePrint however. So, if you want to be able to print from a mobile device for your printer, check out this link for more information on this solution works.

Also, here is a link to the list of Printers HP Web-Connected and support the Cloud Services.

Best.

    Hi tendeloo,.

Looks like you just need to do the following:

    1. Go to www.ePrintCenter.com
    2. Click on "Sign In".
    3. Click on "create an account".
    4. Fill in the required information (the email address on the account creation screen will be your personal email address).
    5. Once the account is created, you will be prompted for the code for the printer.
    6. If it's been more than 24 hours that the code has been printed, you need to refresh it.

To update the code for the printer:

    1. Tap the "ePrint" on the screen of the printer
    2. Press 'Print the Info'
    3. Once you have printed the page, you will be able to enter your printer on ePrintCenter code and complete your registration of the printer.

  • HP Officejet 6500 a Plus: how to allow access to the ePrint and still block direct wireless printing?

My web access is on a public network that I can't control.  I feel ePrint installation and it works fine, but I have a number of people who directly print on my printer and wish to block this direct printing for the ePrint which I can control through allowed/blocked senders lists.

    Firstly, is it still possible?

It it is possible, how do I do to fix this?

    Thank you

    Hi @Unhappy_Camper ,

    Welcome to the HP forum.

I understand that you want to prevent other people from printing on your 6500 has more.

Unfortunately what you would do, is not possible.

Anyone on the network can see and use the printer.

  • "Connection error. Check the Internet connection. »

I just installed my printer (an HP CM2320fxi upgrade). Everything works except ePrint/Web Services. The printer is connected directly to my router. It prints network computers. AirPrint works from iOS devices. It can scan to e-mail and documents are properly received by mail outside the network accounts (i.e. it must be connected to and talk to the internet). All the router firmware and the printer has been confirmed to date. all devices have been reset and restarted several times. However, if I try to activate HP Web Services for ePrint installation, I get the following error message: "connection error. Check the Internet connection. »

After struggling with this issue for many months, including many discussions phone and email exchanges with technical support from HP, they finally sent me a replacement printer.  It works as advertised right out of the box.  I don't know what was the underlying problem, but the fact is that he couldn't be corrected with one of the solutions proposed in the discussions on this forum.  Apparently, there's HP printers out there with a lack of internet connection has nothing to do with a solution that is configurable by the user.  If you have one, then you will need to replace your printer.

I can't thank HP for that.  They tried my patience and tenacity of the months before offering the only real solution.  They must know their products better than that and should have replaced my printer several months ago.  That being said, the tech person with whom I had most of my relationships, it was a nice guy.  I expect he's working under an edict on exhausting all possible tactics before agreeing to replace the unit.

    Good luck!

  • Photosmart HP 6520: lost my photosmart 6520 by manually changing the server address

    Hello
My printer is connected wireless and prints well by AirPrint and when I send it jobs by email, but after successfully scanning to e-mail several times it suddenly wouldn't connect to the Internet, which gives an error message. Tried to turn it works several times. Leva help on the forum and follow-up of boards to manually change the DNS server to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 another server. This resulted in my losing access to my printer via his IP on my browser so I can't undo my actions and my printer always gives the error message when I ask him to scan to e-mail. All other functions work.
    Help, please. Thank you

    Hey @Kybosh,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

I understand that you are having connectivity problems with your HP Photosmart e-all-in-one 6520, printer.  I want to help you with this.

I'm surprised that a manual DNS has interfered with your setup - I think generally it does the opposite and enhances connectivity.  In any case, do not despair!   I have some suggestions that can restore the features of your printer.

I recommend a fresh start by restoring the default settings of your printer to avoid any persistent configuration problem.  Here's how:

    • Front panel of the printer, press the key
    • Touch tools
    • Touch Restore Factory Defaults
    • * Note that this will reset your settings wireless and webservices.  If you have an address custom ePrint it is deleted permanently.  Click here for more information about setting up a custom address ePrint.

With your restored default settings, continue on as indicated:

    • Touch the wireless icon ()
    • Run the Wireless Setup Wizard and reconnect to your network (SSID)
    • Enter the wireless password if prompted
    • Once you have created a wireless connectivity, reactivate your webservices/ePrint feature (essential for the use of scan to e-mail)
    • Tap the icon of webservices ()
    • Enable Web services and press OK to enable your printer will automatically update
    • Once completed, it will print a page of information.  If you are looking to complete an ePrint installation, it will be useful later - click here for more information.

Now, if all goes well you can rebuild your Setup email scan:

    • Tap the scan icon
    • Tap the scan to E-mail
    • Enter your personal email address
    • Retrieve the PIN code of your Inbox
    • Enter the PIN on your requested to complete printer installation

The above restore the functionality you were missing?

Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post.  If I helped you to solve the problem, feel free to give me a virtual h.o.t. by clicking on the 'Thumbs Up' icon below.

Please post in the Forum of HP's Support and have a great day!

  • Photosmart HP 5520. First installation cannot start configuration eprint. Could not be updated

I installed the wireless printer successfully, but unfortunately I can't start installation e-print. After that I agreed to the installation it says impossible to update. The local network uses dhcp THAT SSID is hidden and I use wpa2. Once again the printer works fine but cannot start the configuration of the e-print service.

    Thanks for advantage

I solved by myself the year problem now I can say that

    1. My provider does not have the power of Attorney and do not filter on the connection ports
    2. It was not necessary to update the firmware of the router, as in fact, I always use the version of the firmware of shop
    3. It is not necessary to install the demilitarized zone on the ip address of the printer
    4. It is not necessary to install the virtual server and enable port forwarding incoming and outgoing
    5. It is not necessari choose and configure the ip address of the router
    6. It is not necessary to DΘsactiver mac filtering, choose a special channel, disable security on the AP
    7. It is not necessary to ask the printer to set the static ip address (but you can change it)

I installed the firmware released on 7 February and the next day, I ran the diagnostic tool installed with the printer who asked me to install a patch for the eprint service.

After everything has worked, I installed the eprint service and got the e-mail address.

This means that there is a bug in the firmware for the eprint service.

  • EPrint, set up FAILED during installation.

I'm a very dissatisfied customer at this point. I put one of these exact printers for my (Deskjet 3052 a) neighbor. We both have the SAME computer, even wireless (router and all) and are on the same carrier broadband. Its establishment went great... and so did mine...

Until he came to the EPRINT implemented. His connected in full transparency... and mine said he MAY need a proxy... and I chose to leave the installation who decide.

He looked for and did not find the info. So, , it failed to install part eprint and print the page with the code for the eprint and E-mail info site. I tried to access the page hp since the software provided with the printer... IN CASE OF FAILURE! The links do not work... so I went to the HP site to do an online chat with support. Failure again... as the support site would not recognize my newly registed serial number. I now remember why I stopped buying HP products ~

Now comes the good part! I CALLED HP support and the Lady on the phone site support "said that the eprint server is down" which, from what I've read, it's a good "answer to everything."

I tried to explain to him that he had never quite far to print the pages with the codes, etc. and she asked me for the eprint codes . It must be reading a script? She said... Sorry, eprint is another area of support, and they are only available from Monday to Friday... Laughing out loud

Other than uninstall everything and start over (so I can get tt it screen which will allow me to set the proxy information)... What can I do else?

If I do not uninstall everything... It goes back in the box... and return to the store where I bought.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Well, I called the customer service people off India... or wherever they are... Once again.

They are LESS aware that the average user, it's safe. They kept their script... and said that it was a printing problem and that they had nothing to do with it. I talked to a supervisor as well... it was no help.

BTW and remind people "EPRINT" are there from Monday to Friday. How neat is that?

in any case, I thought to myself... for what it's worth. Anyone else who has this problem... all you have to do is:

    1) click on the button on the printer wireless, it will come with the wireless menu.  You have 3 numbers that appear:

1-connects to IP: 182.132.1.102 (for example) that scrolls on the screen... or if you say very well, it will not display with the signal strength

    2. wireless u-value

    3. print

What you need to do is to write the IP/MAC address (the 182.132.1.102 number above). Your number will be different... as it was mine. (I dialed the number above).

Then, open your browser (IE, Firefox, etc.), and then type the number that you wrote down, in the window (for example 182.132.1.102) and press ENTER.

That fact that you connect to the printer over your network. From there, you can configure the WEB SERVICES menu... and many other properties as well. AFTER you do this... THEN, you can connect to the EPRINT space.

It took me every 3 minutes once I'm here to "SOLVE" the problem. The fools!

HP was better with Carly Fiorina autour. At least she took time out of his day to call frustrated customers and know their problems...

Too bad HP... you really need to look at your customer support staff.

Following the guide, I also checked that the printer is wireless, that the pc and printer share the same router, no proxies are used and also installed HP Print and Scan 4.1 doctor, who found no errors. Any clue?
