Memory max freq possible?

Hi all

Having x 201 Tablet with 3Gigs and want to do an upgrade. Check memory size max for my 8 GB model but what should the frequency be?

Have a 3093AA8 motherboard and a QM57 chipset.

Thanks in advance! You will enjoy if recommend you a brand? Kingston/Corsair/Samsung...

KR,

Ognyan

1333 mhz SODIMM DDR3 is what the X201t use (although 1066 mhz also works). Corsair, avoid any brand should be correct.

  • What is memory max in a Portege M700 - 12l?

Hello, this may be a stupid question, but... here goes:

"You can install up to 4 GB of RAM in this Tablet PC. Module of memory up to 2 GB in each of the slots. You must use DDR2 - 667 MHz PC2-5300 modules. »

But I think there are 4 GB modules, if so, can I use 2 4 GB modules in slots 2 and get 8 GB, it is possible? or this laptop works with the max of 4 GB?

    Thank you.
    PS: maybe this isn't 4 GB and its (2 x 2)...

If you Portege M700 (PPM70E) then you can increase the RAM to 4 GB only.
To have 8 GB is not possible because the motherboard can handle with 4 GB of RAM only.

    You can use 2 x 2 GB (PA3513U-1M2G).

    Good bye

  • Memory max DV2036ea

Hi guys, I had the HP Pavillion DV2036EA for a few years now, it came with Windows XP, but when I tried Windows Vista and 7 the portable will slow down so it is unusable, so I wonder this will help improving parts, for example: memory, hard disk and DVD rom, so here are my questions, hopefully someone will be able to answer for me...

1 / what the max memory that I can spend the DV2036EA, and what types?

2 / can I put the HARD drive to an SSD?

3 / it is Possible to upgrade the DVD on a player Blu - Ray player?

4 / Why is Window Vista and 7 not slows on this laptop (the two 64 bit btw)

all tips will be very grateful...

    Concerning

    Tony

    Tony,

Here are the specifications of your laptop HP Pavilion dv2036ea. From the specs, I guess that this model was released in 2006.

    (1) maximum memory is 2 GB.

    PC2-4200 or PC2 - 5300 SODIMM 1 GB max each

    (2) maybe... Please identify the current by brand, model HDD and SATA or IDE interface.

    (3) not of probably, but maybe.

    (4) because you're installed a 64-bit operating system and expects it will run on 1 GB RAM. I propose to install a 32-bit version of Windows 7 for more experience as"Windows XP". Please see "General Windows 7 Upgrade Guide for HP Laptops ' , ' models level 4" section, for more help with the attempt to upgrade to Windows 7. " You can also consider Windows Vista 32-bit, because HP provided drivers. Vista will be an easier installation... Windows 7, if you can make it work fully, will provide a better overall user experience... In my opinion.

  • Configuration of memory Lenovo D20, possible empty slots with sizes mixed or unbalanced.

I have a D20, 12x4Go 2 CPUs, 48 GB of memory. I think the upgrade to 12x8Go, or if possible something using a number reduced from 16GB RDIMMS. Is this possible? for example I could install on each CPU (16,16,empty),(4,4,4)? Or do I have to fill each slot on each group of 3? Are there performance problems? I can not find a guide for valid layouts anywhere, so if anyone can point me to which I would be grateful. Thank you.

Personally, I'd go with option that is less expensive. If you add 4 x 16GB to your existing memory is less, then it would be a good option. Install them in the 16th, 16, 4, 4, 4, 4 by the graphic on your access panel. This will give you a total 96GB without any loss of speed. I see no reason to leave empty DIMM_6.

The differences in performance between 12 x 8 GB and the odd option is probably minimal. You may lose only 1 ~ 5% maximum leaving the last empty places. If it is for storage purposes (ie: large CAD assemblies) then you won't see any difference. If you use memory for calculations (CFD, FEA, etc.) while 1 ~ 5% could save a few minutes in your day.

  • 2d22dx HP 2000: 8gig memory max

I wonder if it is due to the age and support both if this laptop is not expandable to 8 GB. It has two memory slots in there so why would not be expandable to 16 GB with 8 gig of memory? Or am I maxed out already at the 8 GB I have on it now and is extensible on the side of the memory of it? I really like this laptop and would really look forward to having to throw because of need more memory use and it can't. But if it will indeed support 16 gig, then, I'll be more than happy to launch an SSD and memory of his way.

Yes, in any case an i3 is not optimal for what you do. I tend to believe Crucial... If they could sell you memory, bigger more expensive sticks that they would. And Yes, that's one thing HP but real... 16 concerts may work, but the odds are against it.

  • Memory max

I have a HP Pavilion dv7 laptop 1273cl.  I want to upgrade the memory.  The software, with which it came was Windows Vista, but I've since updated that to 8.1 Windows.  I read that this upgrade memory depends on the software installed Windows (Xp, vista, 7 etc.) and your motherboard.  I don't know the type of motherboard, but my original software gave me a max of 8 GB.  Now that I've updated the software I can now go beyond that or I'm still chained to 8 GB. Also, what type of memory is it?

    Thanking you in advance,

    MF

    Hello

Unfortunately, you are limited to 8 GB card system allows only a 4 GB maximum per dwelling.

  • Memory max to HP dv7 running with AMD Phenom II N830 Triple-Core Processor 2.10 GHz

I have a Pavilion dv7 with an AMD Phenom II N830, 2.10 GHz processor.  She currently has 4.00 GB memory and running a 64-bit operating system.  I would like to increase the memory.  Is this possible with this system and which is of the type/maximum memory to buy?

I've never had the case open, so I guess that it has two memory slots, but I don't know.

    Thank you!

I think that all dv7s can run at least 8 GB of memory, but you must give us the full model number to see if you need DDR2 or DDR3 and so maybe you can perform 16 concerts.

It seems likely, he is in the dv7-4000 series and uses DDR3 and tops out at 8 gigs. I can assure you that it has two memory slots under the large door on the bottom. You have probably 2 x 2 GB in there.

  • T400 Memory Max

    Hi all

How much is the max of the Thinkpad T400 DDR3 memory is able to manage? Some sites say 4 GB, with other 8 GB. And I'm having a hard time finding a 4 GB dimm... I think that the news are contradictory because the 4 GB DIMMs are not yet available. Am I wrong? For your info, Yes, I have 64 bit Vista (argh).

    Thank you!

    Hugues

Chipset in the T400 supports up to 8 GB memory DDR3.  DDR3 is still pretty new, so you will be hard-pressed to find 4GB SODIMM immediately.

    : edit:

Here's your "evidence"... in Lenovo T400's description, it says up to 8 gb [of course, you'll need a 64 bit for what OS anyone beyond 3 GB to use]: http://shop.lenovo.com/ISS_Static/merchandising/US/PDFs/t400_and_t500_datasheet.pdf

You can also consult the Intel site and look for your chipset and see that he takes supporting up to 8 GB.

  • Memory max Lenovo Edge 530

    Hello fellow Lenovo users.

I'm sure that this question is already answered a few times. But what is the max memory than the 530 of edge can support. Some places say 16 gig and some (Lenovo including himself) 8gig.

Hoping I can put 16 gig, because I use virtual machines near all time

    Thanks in advance!

    -New user of Lenovo!

    Welcome to the community.

I just reinforced with the Lenovo purchase customizer ( http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/builder.workflow: enter? sb =: 00... ) for border E530 and 16 GB is offered as a choice. then you should be good to go.

  • Satellite A40 - what size of HARD drive max is possible

This Satellite A40 has a 40 GB drive at 4200 RPM.
Looking for 120 GB and 160 GB.

This question is to know if I can consider a higer RPM one / or access time.

    What are the limits?

    Maurice Newsome

    Hello

I presume that the A40 supports an IDE HDD ATA-5 controller.
In this case the 120 GB is the max of the LBA 28 bit

But in your case I would first test an 80 GB or 120 GB HARD drive.

    Welcome them
