memory on macbook pro
I have a MacBook Pro of the retina with 8 GB of memory. Found two files that appear to consume all the memory when I bootup. They are called "Installer". I can't delete them. How can I get out of my system?

I have a Macbook Pro bought around 2011-2012. It currently has 4 GB of memory in it. As the last installation of OS ElCapitan, it was slow in speed and I was about to upgrade the memory. I have read many articles on the possibility of adding more than the recommended 8 GB memory which advises Apple. I don't want to kill my computer and I definitely want to get the best banh for my money. I'm also a bit confused that whether or not it is 8 gb per slot is total 8 GB upgrade memory. Advice/cost for the upgrade of MacBook Pro memory
I have a mid-2009 13-inch MacBook Pro. It has 2 GB of RAM and I want to update 8 GB of RAM. I heard it is expensive to have Apple install memory, but I really do not trust myself to install it alone! Does anyone have an idea of what it would cost (for the work of Apple and memory) for this upgrade? And if no Apple, anyone have any suggestions for qualified but cheaper alternatives? Thank you!!

Is there a limit to the amount of memory can I add to a 13 "MacBook Pro, (fall 2009)? It has 2 ports, memory, and currently there is 1 GB in each port for a total of 2 GB now. I need to spend a minimum of 4 GB, but would prefer 8 if possible.

Back in 2011 8 GB SODIMM costs $1000 + if they still existed. Apple tested the SODIMM 4 GB at reasonable price and never reviewed the hardware older after 8 GB SODIMM fell to $50.

Get only the memory of a place as above, since Macs are picky about the memory. Another place is crucial.
If you can't swing for 16 GB (2 X 8 GB) replace a strip of 2 GB with a key of 8 GB.
