Memory RAM for model: HP PAVILION Slimline p6243 w - b

I was not able to determine the specific requirements on a 1 gig stick of memory I need for my HP computer to be added as extra memory. Here is my model information: HP PAVILION Slimline p6243 W - B and advertising memory is: PC2 - 6400 DDR2 SDRAM. Someone at - it a # part/sku specific for a brand that is compatible?

Hello:

The best thing to do is to run the tool of critical analysis of free memory on your PC.

He will report what type and how much memory you can install on your PC.

You can buy Crucial if you want to (they ensure compatibility), or you can use the specifications you are given and buy elsewhere.

  • memory RAM for my HP Pavilion dv9533eg?

I bought the HP Pavilion laptop dv9533eg in September 2007.

It works fine, but now, after more than 2 years, I think, 2 GB of RAM are not enough for me, because I want to do video editing.

Someone can tell me if its possible for this HP model for me to buy an additional 1 GB of RAM and add it to the laptop?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

gdirty is wrong in what I know that it will support without any problem of 4 GB.

There is a limit for a long time on dv9000 to 2 GB, but after the Bios update it had ascended to full function which is 4 GB.

Here you can find the same shop that informs your model handle 4 GB maximum.

Chip even wear the same information here. Very well known and respected computer magazine in Europe.

  • Question: Upgrade of RAM for my HP Pavilion Media Center m7480n

First of all, I want to say hello to everyone on the HP Forum community and thank everyone for their help and support since his arrival at the Forum.

I have a HP Pavilion Desktop Media Center m7480n:

    Card upgrade memory:

    Hello

That your PC has two free memory slots, and you bought ram DDR2 533 MHz 2 GB (1 GB x 2) memory. Compatibility should not be a problem. You have the right type and the amount of RAM in your PC. Once installed, it will take the total of your system's RAM to 4 GB. However, the caveat is that 32-bit operating systems can use only 3.25 GB of the 4 GB installed. This is a limitation of the memory address. Most of the personal computer world continues to use the 32-bit Windows XP/Vista or 7 versions.

Upgrade from 2 GB to 4 GB would be beneficial for people who are heavy multitasking and running many background applications. In the field of heavy multitasking, the processor (CPU) begins plays a more important role, as an increase in the number of cores (e.g. upgrade of duals to four hearts) will prove beneficial, that simply increase RAM. I think that 2 GB of RAM should be sufficient for basic multitasking averages. Even most PC games benefit much from 2 GB to 4 GB.

However with the RAM being if pricey as it is these days, it never hurts the Pocket to upgrade. As you have already purchased the RAM, go and plug it by all means, you should see a marginal improvement in performance. You can check this document before you install the memory modules: upgrading memory (RAM)

    Hope this has been helpful.

    See you soon!

  • adding memory ram for my HP media center m8000 pavilion

    Hi guys,.

I just bought a pair of RAM (2x1GB DDR2) Corsair and tried inserting them in my Pavilion m8000. First I got a beep and the computer would not start (black screen). Next I went to release one of the rams and I got the beep to stop, but I just got the BIOS window when starting and it got stuck there.

Did anyone experience a few problems I've done? If so, could you please help me.

Thanks in advance for any response,

    Anthony

Sorry think it was the wrong number, I gave the full name is HP pavilion dv7-6b05ea if all goes well which is a bit more useful, also came its a site saying I can switch to 16 GB and wanted to make sure that its correct before buying a link for the site here

This is correct information and Crucial is a great brand of memory. Crucial memory is guaranteed compatible memory when you use their memory finder. Take advantage of the 16 GB.
