(Memphis-S) weird motherboard problem

Hello, guys! I need to change my stock cooler, with another one (mugen 4), but I have a weird problem, I can't remove the back plate. I don't know how to explain it exactly my problem because of my bad English, so I'll add a photo (so the main question is: is it possible to remove the back plate?) (the photo is not of my mobo, but I have the same problem):

Yes, I saw your picture posted.
--
Are you sure that you can not use that existing Memphis-S back as installed metal plate?
--
Have you looked AT the photo of the motherboard (Memphis-S) in the HP link provided?
IF NOT, let me clearly from the comparison and review of the photo.

The back plate is held on the motherboard by the 3 screws of the machine
(and the nuts on the side of the metal plate) the decision-making LGA1150.

IF you remove the back plate, the 3 nuts must be put back to their machine screws, without damaging the multilayer motherboard.

See the SCYTHE Mugen 4, the manufacturer of this thermal CPU / heatsink, for additional advice/recommendations.

Done SCYTHIAN State (their Support for Mugen 4 page), as for AMD motherboards,
the metal back plate of origin is required for the installation of the appropriate heat sink.

  • Dell XPS 8500 - start not at all - motherboard problems?

I have a Dell XPS 8500 I bought in January of 2013 and of course, is now out of warranty. I have not had too many problems with the pc, but last week, I was copying some video files on the SD card in the card on the hard disk drive. My wife told me that supper was ready, so I left the system to finish copying the video files on the HARD drive and ate with my family.

After we finished eating, I went back in the Office to discover that my computer was turned off. I tried to turn it back on and got no answer to it at all. I held the power button down and still nothing. After unplugging all devices still do not get response. I unplugged the power cord that goes into the food and green on the back of that flickered as I unplugged and plugged in so I thought I had my problem properly diagnosed as a failure of the power supply. I ordered a replacement PSU and installed today but I'm still no response from the computer when you try to start it. I have all the cords of the PSU properly plugged into the HDD and the dvd player and the connector 24 pin to the motherboard as well as the connection of 4 pins so.

The ONLY answer I get when trying to turn on the computer is that the fan in the power supply and fan to the rear of the case against surges momentarily and return to the stop. They are not even a half of a revolution, and that's all I get.

Any suggestions would be wonderful! I wonder if it's a motherboard problem and if so, where to find a replacement motherboard. And if not the mobo, what else it could be.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

  • Portege Z830 charge not (chip motherboard problem)

Hello, my z830 battery does not charge and it works only connected to electricity. The problem is in the chip from the motherboard, battery works very well. What chip I need to buy and change to solve the problem?

    Thank you
    Sébastien.

Are you sure that it is the motherboard, not the battery to 100%?
The battery is of 4 years, he had worn out now.

If it is in fact a motherboard...
I don't think you can get the chips separately, you may need a whole new mainboard.

  • Satellite L850 - weird noise problem (not events)

    Hello

I have a weird problem with my laptop. Since a few days, my laptop started to make a little noise from the base of the laptop.
I care because during the day I don't even notice, but now (it's 05:00)
Clearly, I hear a noise coming from the base.

It has not happened before and I don't know what could be, because the strangest thing is that, according to Toshiba Health Monitor, fan is 0% (because I'm on mode eco and do nothing to do) and the CPU is at 48th. As you can imagine, my laptop is far from heating.

Then, where this noise could come from?
Now, I know that this isn't the ventilation openings, but something inside the laptop (maybe HARD drive?)

And I'm confident in the vents because the vents start to operate when I load a movie or game, and when start knocking noise that I do not speak of persists.

It's not embarrassing, because I have to be in complete silence to hear it. As I said, I don't notice the noise when it is diurnal, and I could live with it, but not knowing this noise source makes me a bit paranoid. I bought a month ago, so I don't think that I have to clean.

    Thank you.

On this virtual path, it is not easy to tell where the noise is coming so if you want to solve this problem I think you should bring to the nearest post of Toshiba and the guy there it should check. Guarantee is valid if repairs must be free.

Can you tell us what part of your laptop is this noise?

  • Satellite Pro L40-15 has: motherboard problem

    Hi all

I have a satellite pro L40-15 and it was running vista basic but very slowly.

A friend advised me that I needed to renew the bios for xp install xp. I did, and now he's dead. The fan is not still running, even if the wireless lights and 3 lights above the power switch will Flash once.

I took the motherboard out (part number 08g2002ta22jtb). During the inspection, there seems to be a reset button on the plateau (near the battery terminals). It is only accessible with the removed card. Does anyone know haw to restore bios factory settings please?

    Thanks in advance.

    John.

    Hi mate,

It's cool to you finally disassemble your machine. But you won´t get no benefit from this action given that the bios needs to be reflashed by a technician of toshiba, BECAUSE they have the right tools to do this.

I don't know how or what tools they use, but I had a similar problem on my Satellite A100 and they fixed without the motherboard. (So it was told to me).

If I were you, I would send the machine to another and the closest to the ASP (certified partner) in your country. They should bring back your machine to life.

  • Satellite A200 motherboard problem

Hi guys, as the title would have a problem with a motherboard on a computer laptop toshiba A200-1QN, trace is that ILHAM - 3481P rev 2.0. The problem is starting, the laptop turns on but does not even gets the boot, the power indicator remains lit, but the indoor fan does not turn, the screen remains black. I already did a redesign of the chip with no result.

On this virtual path, it is not easy to tell what the problem may be, but somehow I think there may be a problem with the BIOS chip.

What have you done these days with your laptop? Update the BIOS maybe?

  • Satelite L305D - motherboard problem

Hey there, Im kind of new to this thing all the forum so please forgive me if I am following proper protocol.

So, somehow I'm done with this portable satellite L305d of The States, which is great, except that it's broken.
The plug in for the Atria were crushed in slot motherboard and whenever the power button is pressed, the Toshiba logo would come upward and then nothing else that a white flashing line in the upper left corner.

It does not, and nothing happens when I click F12.

I tried out the hard drive and put in shape via another computer, that did not always help.

Someone might be what the problem? - or maybe to try next?
At the point of ths really I paint a white.

Any help would be great appreciated. Thank you!

    > whenever you press the power button, the Toshiba logo would come upward and then nothing else that a white flashing line in the upper left corner.

You say the line underscore white well, had the same problem
In my case, the HARD drive was defective.

Have you tried to format the HARD drive in the wells of the computer, I recommend checking out the new HARD drive.

On the other hand, it could be a RAM problem but especially his HARD drive problem.

  • Satellite A300-23F motherboard problem

    Hello!

I have a Toshiba A300-23F that last week, refuses to turn on.
The power turned on but when I press the power button it does not illuminate.
As my warranty has expired, I gave him a technician to find out what the problem is and he informed me that the graphics chip is damaged but so the whole motherboard must be replaced.
The possibility to give Toshiba to replace my motherboard is not an option, of course, because they require 300-400 for it. I bought the laptop 1000, 2.5 years so it is obvously out of the question.

However, my problem is that I can't find any card handed to nine or such parent on ebay or other shops. Any suggestions on that?

Do you think I have all the options to the left or should I go and take a hammer and release my anger on this high level sourrealistic joke manyfactured from Toshiba.

    > However, my problem is that I can't find any card handed to nine or such parent on ebay or other shops. Any suggestions on that?

You must use a motherboard that specially left for Satellite Pro / Satellite A300 series.
The new motherboard is really an expensive part. Perhaps you could get a second hand A300 with a card mother work and then you get good mobo.

But its your own decision, I got a laptop from another manufacturer who died after 3 years of use.
It was obviously a malfunctioning motherboard :(
I tried to solve this problem because of the price of the motherboard I sold the laptop died and bought a new

  • Satellite A100-803 - motherboard problem

    Hello

I bought a laptop Toshiba A100-803, two years ago and now I can't turn on the PC.
We check the laptop and the problem is on the motherboard.

Anyone know who is motherboard´s ID? Thank you

    Hello

    The motherboard is Toshiba.
You must use motherboards manufactured for Satellite/Satellite Pro/Equium A100.

So you can use google to get a new motherboard, or you can request an ASP for help.
You can order the partner service authorized in your country but new mobo mobo costs a small fortune.

  • HP a6700f motherboard problems

All, I have a HP A6700F appears that the motherboard is gone.

I replaced it and tried to start up with the discs recovery when it is new, I did and I get a msg says thatbasically Bios isn't what the recovery disks have on them.

Is there a way to get around this, or if I order a set of HP disc that they would work?

Any help on that would be great.

    Thanks for the research.

    Jack, welcome to the forum.

HP tattoos their motherboards with the major components of the computer.  Therefore, if the motherboard is not the exact model that the original recovery disks will not work.  You will need to purchase a full copy of Windows or use Linux , which is FREE.  It has all the programs you can use with Windows, for example, OpenOffice.  It is a complete desktop program.  Ubuntu (prn. oo-boon-too) has a GUI interface which allows an easy transition from Windows.  It works very well with older computers.

  • weird Internet problems

Recently, my internet has been acting weird. He has never acted like this before, until 2 people moved my basement and began to share Internet (maybe a coincidence, but not sure). Sometimes when I leave my computer on and stay away from the keyboard and go back some time after and open my internet browser, only my home page would be in charge. Whenever I try to open other pages, they will simply be "loading" for 30 seconds then says that the page cannot load (as if my internet is disconnected). But the problem is, when I click on network and sharing Center, there is nothing wrong with that.

Access - LAN and the Internet
Connection - connection to the Local network
It's the same when my Internet works fine, but I can't just browse other Web pages EXCEPT the home page that appears when I first open my browser. When this happens, I usually unplug my modem then reconnect OR just keep trying to load a page when after like 5 minutes or more, everything works normally.
How can I solve this problem? It is annoying and happens almost everytime I go back to use my computer after staying idle for some time.
By the way, I noticed that I have 4 'networks '. I'm not sure what they are, but I could merge or delete them. It would help my situation?
Control Panel-> network and interest-> network and sharing Center Center-> customize-> Merge or Delete network locations.
I am very annoyed by the present and I would be grateful any entry in this case.
    Thank you in advance.

It is always sensible in this situation to achieve a malware check

Start the computer in safe mode with network and download and install Malwarebytes (free version for individuals only), updated definitions and run in safe mode. Disable other security software while you do the analyses.

  • Dv6-6107tx: HP DV6-6107tx motherboard problems

Hi, I have a hp dv6-6107tx. The specifications of the laptop is i7 2630qm, graphics 1 GB HD 6770 m, 4 GB memory card. I want to replace the motherboard as it freezes after a few minutes of use, sometimes in 5 minutes and sometimes 30.

The question is if I can replace it with the motherboard which has 2 GB of vram instead of 1 GB. I'm not personally interested 2 GB but its cheaper on ebay and easily found. I found that the motherboard that supports Quad Core processors and has 2 GB of vram has part number 650799-001. I wanted to know if it loads my 2630qm processor and set up my laptop.

If you find my description of the confusing problem, please tell me, I'll try to explain it more.

    Any contribution is appreciated.

    Thank you

That the Board is listed in the manual and should be a drop in replacement for the Board you have.

    Your manual

Please see page 27. Your CPU is a Quad Core and is listed as compatible with the laptop and Board 650799-001. Just as the gel be sure and that are not caused by anything like the memory or the hard drive before the extraordinary step of replacing the motherboard.
