It is supposed to look like this: (and this looks like in Firefox)

Thanks advance.

Because you have not specified a width for the container of submenu items, IE assumes that it can use the full available width, so the items that appear on the same line.

Add a width (for example width: 156px ;)) UL. MenuBarHorizontal ul and all is well

  • Need help with the address bar of Internet Explorer

Hi, I have internet explorer 6, and usually I can rely on the address bar and show beyond Web sites visited. When I delete history and cookies, however some Web site links that I haven't visited for a long time. For example when I type b, a bbc link is displayed in the bar. However it does not appear if I do not press b. What's also weird is that sometimes the bar shows some word files, images or folders that I visited on my desktop, and other locations on the computer, as well as research on sites such as google as well as downloaded files. So I was wondering how can I remove it, so that, for example when I type www. It only gives me the possibility of weather or a Web site called www1.bottomdollar.com. I hope it is clear that basically I would like to erase everything from the address bar. I would really appreciate if someone can help me on this. Thank you

    Hello

Stefan suggested in the previous announcement, you can delete this links in Internet Explorer under:
--> Tools/Internet options, delete cookies, delete files, clear history.

Don t forget to mark the option delete offline content all under delete files.

Also if you want to clear the AutoComplete please go to the content tab.
You will find buttons in the privacy area.

  • Internet Explorer & Firefox - website found waiting for reply...

Internet 'NAVIGATORS' web pages not recovery.

I get the Message of Internet Explorer at the bottom says "website found, waiting for response... »

Same for Firefox. Says "connection, wait for google.com...". »

This is not a connection problem because everything else works. My Zune will connect on the market and download music. My e-mail program to connect and send/receive messages.

    I have ping google.com and got a response back. "Sent = 4, received = 4, lost = 0", "average = 890ms.

The only problem is that my "BROWSERS" will not retrieve all the information. They say found Web site and then just hang there waiting for the response in return.

FYI... Windows XP. The only substantive program I have running is Avast Antivirus. Disabled and still get the same results. Turned off the Windows Firewall and the same results.

It could be a virus that changed your proxy settings in your browser. Go to the properties of the internet explore and check under the connection tab and see if there are proxies checked or even anything inside the proxy settings.

The same thing happened to me! This problem is probabily caused by Acer
eDataSecurity Management. This software MUST be installed (but does not
to be initialized or setup) so that my solution work. Open an Explorer
window, e.g. 'computer '. Right-click on an empty spot in the menu bar. You
should see 'Acer eDataSecurity Management' is checked. Uncheck it. Now the
menu bar should appear and disappear with the support of the [Alt] key.

The problem may be caused, if there is a miss match the IP address configuration. Then I suggest you to release and renew the IP address. • How can I remove the menu bar in Windows Explorer?

I have Windows 7 (x 64). In windows Explorer, the menu bar will not go if I press ALT. Also, I went into the menu "Organize" and went to "provision". Display of the menu bar has been disabled. I even checked "View" tab in the folder options and the display of the menu bar option is disabled here also. I tried to restart, but which did not help either. So, what should I do? The menu bar that bothers me a lot. So, ill reinstall windows if I can't find a way to remove it.

So I guess the menu bar also refused to go when you were in safe mode.  If so, it narrows at least it down to a Windows problem.  If the system is free of any software malicious then the fault lies with Windows being corrupt.

If SFC has reported no problems then only clean boot procedures could narrow things down to the component of Windows 7 that is the cause of the problem.

You may find that the boot is too tedious & skip to what is called an in Place Upgrade or repair installation using your installation DVD. It's better than a reinstall full as it leaves your applications & intact user files.
