Could not Explorer beyond the start page of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Aol, etc.

Original title: impossible to surf after updates

Yesterday, I found that my computer was restarted after a large number of windows updates, mainly to do with the Office.  I couldn't Explorer beyond the start page of Explorer, Firefox, Aol, etc.

I had to use recovery and restore a day earlier, and then everything worked. But this morning the updates had been installed re and the same problem exists now. Namely, I can't go beyond the first page of a browser. It feels like Groundhog Day. Can you help me? Paul

Hi Paul,.

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

According to the description of the problem, you can't access the internet after you install the latest update. Could you please give us the number of the update which settle and causes the problem.

Normally, updated installation does not cause this problem, but if it causes in your case, please provide us with the number of the update so that we can find the root cause and provide you with the appropriate resolution.

The problem may be caused, if there is a miss match the IP address configuration. Then I suggest you to release and renew the IP address. If you are unable to use the browser the problem is related to their drivers, or network adapter settings. I suggest you to try the steps in the article mentioned below and see if it helps you to solve the problem.

Method 1:

Release and renew the IP address of your computer:

1. go to Start, click all programs and open the Accessories.

2. right click on command prompt in the list programs and then select run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click OK.

3. in the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
enough ipconfig and press ENTER.

4. type ipconfig / renew and press ENTER.

5 type Exit and press ENTER.

Method 2: Running convenience store network.

Automated convenience store is a tool that can find and automatically fix problems with your computer. These utilities are not designed to solve all the problems, but they are useful to try because they can often save your time and efforts.

Run the network troubleshooter utility:
