• Get a preview of image files but not the other files

  In the Finder (or an alternative file manager) is there a way to show previews of image files, but not for the other files?

  With the image files, it will display a preview. With other types of file, a preview is useless and its best to see a standard icon indicating the file type.

  Any decent file on all Linux distributions browser lets you choose Preview vs standard icon based on case by case basis depending on the file type. I can't see how to proceed in the Finder (or the various alternatives as TotalFinder). How can I me Finder for this?

  The Finder, choose utilities go to menu, open the Script Editor and run a script such as:

  Tell application "Finder".

  timeout to 600 seconds

  Set the_files to {}

  Repeat with this_file 1 (count files of the window 1) by 2

  Set the the_files the_files & (this_file window 1 as an alias of the file)

  end repeat

  Select the_files

  end time-out

  tell the end

• VDDK v1.2 is unable to create the disc on the other file system

  I work on one file system other than NTFS for Windows and should be able to create a virtual drive it.

  Using the new v1.2 VDDK, I try the following command:

  VMware-vdiskmanager - c - a free - 0 TS 70 GB
  .pdvfs\myserver\2\CarlData\CarlData.VMDK

  It fails with the error:

  Unable to create the disc: the file is too large for the filesystem (0xc00000015).

  With the help of the utility even 1.1 VDDK works very well.

  If I map the 'share' to a drive letter, the next command in the V1.2 works too well:

  VMware-vdiskmanager - c - a free - 0 TS 70 GB Q:\2\CarlData\CarlData.vmdk

  I know from painful experience last year that the error "the file is too big" is pretty generic, and generally means vixdisklib think that the target file system is not NTFS.  I changed my driver year last to convince vixdisklib v1.1 it was OK to create a large virtual drive here.  "I also remember that the library is the distinction between a target name starting by".

• Windows XP two entries in the start menu. I followed the program from one to the other files?

  More of a problem of operating systems XP and how to bind the program files for the new version

  My system was not properly initialize (continulally reseting) to repair the fault that I had to make a form of repair of the windows installation CD. I now have version 2 of the windows XP operating system (host1 and windows 2) on my computer. Windows 2 is the version that works (constantly does not restart) ok, but all my program files, documents, etc. are still linked to the old version (windows 1) and therefore do not apear in the start menu. Is it possible to have these appear in the windows start menu 2, so I don't need to reload all my programs and also allow me to remove this old version that has been corrupted and not lose my files and applications.   Hi Bill,

  It seems that you have reinstalled Windows XP on a different partition. In this case, you will not be able to use the installer on another.

  You will need to reinstall all the programs on the new facility and also, redo the settings.

  I have Windows XP and I'm transfereing on new computer with Windows 7 Ultimate edition.  Also, I have a Belkin transfer cable and want to trans rail programs and files.

  If you are copying from an old computer to a new computer, a copy of the files will create on the new computer, the original files remain on the old computer.

  If you have the full Acrobat product, you can insert pages from one PDF to another, but the PDF file may be violating, cross-references and Hypertext.

  I do regularly this page inserts and replacements when cleaning old manuals only under analysis in PDF with OCR.

  I wouldn't do with a PDF manual that is generated, even if the reposting took hours.

• Converted library to DNG now what about the other files?

  Just, I crossed the step and converted all my images CR2 to DNG, replacing the originals.

  However, I have always all sidecar JPEG files left over. Can I safely delete these, or are they held by the DNG?

  Also, I was using before the option to write the XMP sidecar files. With DNG is there any real need to continue to do this?

  Lightroom won't care. If you made adjustments to the RAW outside LR, those who are saved in the file .xmp. You should have read the metadata of the file in order to bring them into the LR catalog. But now that the orginal FIRST disappeared, I don't think that it works now in any case (it's worth a shot if you must, however). Now, if you did all your editing in LR than to go ahead and delete the JPEG and xmp files.

  As for your other question, you can always write metadata to the file, but with DNG, metadata are embedded in the dng itself and not a separate xmp file. You never had to write metadata in the file, though.  This info has been and is in the catalog/preview files. In doing so, just allows you to make this info in other applications.

  My laptop suddenly became complete. I was told that it may be filled with images of sleep because I put a lot of files on the desktop.

  I tried removing, restart, first aid etc2 does not.

  And then it gives me different numbers.

  My disk utility and about this mac it says that free space is 155G

  From the finder > user it shows free space is 715G

  How free my space? Omni drive works well in my situation?

  You can ignore them: they do not interfere with the functions of your MacBook and will be deleted as soon as you actually need additional disk space. Your Finder reports the storage, you can actually use (Go 715).

  I would like to know how to hide the sidebar on the left of Notes, where are the names of the other file.

  I want to read two files, one is the temperature that updates every second, and the other is energy hysteresis that has specific lines and is constant.

  I had a program in the discussion forum to read a file as it is updated. I checked this program in my case and it works.

  Then I added playback file hysteresis energy to the existing file. But while I run the program, the energy hysteresis file is read with all the lines.

  But the goal is that every time the updates of the temperature, I need to read a line of the file hysteresis energy.

  in this way every second, so, I have a new temperature data and a row of the other file.

  I tried to use 'for loop' inside the program, but it did not work, because the temperature reading will stop until that end of the loop.

  I joined the program.

  Could someone help me how read only a row of hysteresis energy file every time that the temperature updated?

• 'Other' file Type is the biggest consumer of our use of space VSAN... chart?

  Today, I noticed the use of space in our data VSAN store graph. When I looked at the numbers, I was surprised!  Why is the 'Other' file Type on the 5 TB and our largest consumer of our data VSAN store? There is no backup or ISO data on our VSAN and when I browse the data store I can find no file strange c.q. directories.

  Anyone have an explanation for it?

  HII, i; m doing smaller ipad applications using cs5 and as3. individually, they are running well.

  But now I want to combine them into a single file., means user will receive only home page, and it can choose any application and can use it.

  as we know do ipa file from a swf file.

  I created a homepage, sure there r 4 images, the user can click on any picture and it will go to this particular apps.

  I did it using (swf calling dynamically using the function of charger) as we have done normally. now, we know that must work my apps, it is imp than my swf file all the apps and my main homepage .swf file must be in one place, then it runs correctly.

  Now I need to make this homepage.swf ipa file, how can make my application so everything will work.

  Hi Pravin,

  You can package all the other files swf with your main swf, and it should work. For example:

  ADT-package - target

  The restriction is that you cannot load external SWF files.

  Please note that all other than the homepage.swf sovereign wealth funds will be interpreted. So, if you have your main code residing in these sovereign wealth funds, you might see some performance issues. However, if you think that your application works well, then you can simply use your existing code.

  Otherwise, you need to refactor your code works from a swf.
