Meter output that uses as AO start

Hello everyone,

I am currently using a PCI-6120 with a BNC-2120. In VI I have attached to this post, I have an analog output channel that generates a predefined signal stored in the memory of the Commission. Regeneration is activated so that the signal is emitted continuously.

The generation can be stopped and (re-) started at any time using a switch on the front panel.

Outside this AO channel, there is a counter. I would use this counter as the trigger to start for the AO, so that, when the switch on the front panel is set on WE, the AO task waits for the next rising edge of meter output to start the build.

Here's my problem.

When I run the VI, the first beginning of the AO is in fact triggered by the meter. The two generated signals are perfectly synchronized (AO and Ctr). BUT! After putting the switch to OFF and then back on, the signals are not synchronized more. AO task starts generating right samples after the start of the task, without waiting for the next rising edge of the output of the counter.

Could someone help me understand what is happening, please?

Why it works just after the execution of the VI, but not after using the switch on the front panel?

Thank you very much.

P.S.: when the switch is off, the AO job is not completely stopped. The OD begins to generate a constant value of 0 Volt. It's normal. I want to check the value generated by the Board at any time to avoid damage to the unit that I send the signal. So I force the generation 0 Volt, rather than simply stop the task.

LucG,

According to the S-series user's Guide, the time will be two impulses of your time base clock sample. So, it is expected.

The delay of the 2 tick must be for an internal sample clock. There should be no delay if you use an external sample clock.

You can check whether this delay appears when the sample clock is also used as the trigger for the start. I didn't realize this test.

If it doesn't, I think that your solution will be to buy another Board because I have already spent time yesterday to try something else like using the counter of seconds for example, but it really seems that there is no work around except buy a Board with a more recent technology.

Kind regards

  • No 'Use Word 2010 Starter' button after followng HP instructions to uninstall. Now what?

I have a HP Pavillion desktop (p7-1010) running Windows Home Premium 64 bit. It came with the Microsoft Word Starter 2010 edition installed, I used without problem since I bought the (new) PC.

A few days ago, I started having a message that WINWORDC.exe was download a required feature and don't be surprised if Word seemed not to answer. Sometimes, the message looks like there was a problem with the Internet connection then try again.

I found and followed the instructions to http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02981221 who told me how to attempt a repair. The repaor has failed. After that, I could not run Word starter at all - the logon banner would hang and say download Microsoft Word Starter 2010 (99%). This message has never disappeared.

I rebooted a few times to be sure.

The HP page also gave instructions to find out how uninstall the Starter edition - with a caveat that you need to be sure, the head office was installed - and then reinstall. Given that the Manager has been installed on my PC, I uninstalled and then, when I followed the instructions on how to re - install, the button I had to click on (something like 'Use Word 2010 Starter' wasn't there.  Now, I have no way to use Word - starter or otherwise.

I assumed HP instructions were good. Don't think.

    Any suggestions?

Thank you. It will be a few days before I can spend more time on this, but I appreciate the help.

If someone at HP monitors this forum, HP must remove or update the offending article which says the word of the use (or was it office) Start button will be available after uninstalling start until Office Manager option is installed.

Because if the article or document belongs to HP, then update is not a problem.  I note it to those responsible for its maintenance.

The question that you may be an exception, because at some point in the past may have clicked on the button use Office 2010 Staerer. Who is likely to have (grayed out) off the button. Have you noticed if it was present before you uninstalled Office Starter via the Microsoft Manager program?

  • Applications that use msxml do not load or use Windows 7 64-bit environment

What happened several times. I have an installed application (Quickbooks pro 2010) that uses MSXML, and when I installed another application that uses MSXML, it fails to install, or install but does not work properly. (Both applications are supposed to be compatible with Windows 7)

    Is this a known issue?

    Hi Emanders,

You receive an error message when you try to install or run programs?

Who is the other program that fails to install or load?

Access the link below and check if the programs are compatible with Windows 7 64 bit.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

However, you can try to unregister and reregister the MSXML.dll files on your computer and check if you can install and run programs.

Run the command at the elevated command prompt, follow these steps:

    1. open the start menu, click programs principally made, select accessories.
    2. right click on command prompt, and then click "run as administrator".
    3. type the following commands in the DOS prompt window and press ENTER at the end
    of each line:

    REGSVR32 MSXML3. DLL/U
    REGSVR32 MSXML3. DLL
    REGSVR32 MSXML4. DLL/U
    REGSVR32 MSXML4. DLL
    REGSVR32 MSXML6. DLL/U
    REGSVR32 MSXML6. DLL

(At the elevated command prompt command should not give us any error).

You can also open the event viewer and check if there are other important messages/error codes that is generated during installation or execution of the program and after return.

See the link below for more details:

What are the information contained in the logs of the event (Event Viewer)?

  • My pc says that windows does not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM.

My pc says that windows does not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM. It is said it can be repaired by using the original installation CD, but we do not have. Any ideas please?

The file is missing or corrupt is one of your files in the system registry.

By far, the best way to recover from this is to go to another computer and create a free Hirens Boot CD.
Download Hirens: <> http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/ > (link at the bottom of the icon of the disk)
    Hirens CD burning <> http://www.hirensbootcd.org/burning/ >

Once you create the CD, and then start your system of problem with this CD.  In the first window, select "Mini Windows XP" and wait for the system to start.  When it starts, go to the Hirens Boot CD menu and select
    Register-> Registry Restore Wizard.
then follow the prompts.  This wizard will return a copy of your registry database from backups that are stored with your system restore points.  After the restoration, stop, remove the CD and restart.

When you start your system, it is recommended to perform a system restore operation to ensure the consistency of your system

The hard way to get back is covered in the following Microsoft KB article, but if you have installed a large number of service packs for your installation of XP, I don't give you many chances to get past part 1. (And there's also an installation CD to access the Recovery Console)

  • I can't open anything that uses Windows Explorer...

I just installed Office 2007 and now I can't open anything that uses Windows Explorer. This includes the trash, all files and folders, same control panel. The only things I seem to be able to run correctly are programs. When I try to open anything, I get a popup window stating "Windows Explorer...". (Not responding) "and it will remain forever as this very pretty. After some clicking, it will inform me that Windows Explorer has stopped responding and that I can force close, waiting, etc.

I can't open all the products of the 2007 Office Suite that I just installed but I can't delete them either, since I don't have access to these files in the Panel. I checked in the file manager, and he said I actually opened these programs (I had 6 cases of execution of Excel), but they do not open and are just frozen on my screen.
I tried xplorer2 download and access control by that Panel, and it froze AGAIN, although I could enter some of my files that I could not earlier.
What can I do if I can't access control panel to remove things or to restore my system? Should I delete the MSOffice registers?

    Fixed! Ignore the previous message!

It was something within the Office itself, which was to ruin. I ran the diagnostic tool of the Office she found an error of diagnosis, repaired, Office has been able to open (and then I had my Windows Explorer as well back function). Woohoo!
For those who have similar problems, I did start > Microsoft Office > Microsoft Office Tools > Microsoft Office Diagnostics and he ran.

    Yay!
    I fixed it!

    Here's how:
I looked at the advice of Robert (thanks Robert!) and thinking that it is must be a typo - 64-bit should be Wow, not sys32, just hypothetically.
So, I checked my Wow folder and found 0 bytes audioeng.dll there as well - I didn't replace yesterday with snached dll, I only replaced front sys32. The same dll is used twice by the system.
I decided to take the risk to replace with the same dll snached.

    Here are my steps:

    1. Tear off the healthy donor machine DLL
    2. Start the bulb--> cmd with admin permissions
    3. in the command prompt writing
    • takeown /f C:\Windows\SysWOW64\AudioEng.dll
    • ICACLS C:\Windows\SysWOW64\AudioEng.dll/grant administrators: F
    • copy YourFreshDllDirectory\AudioEng.dll C:\Windows\SysWOW64\AudioEng.dll
    • takeown /f C:\Windows\System32\AudioEng.dll
    • ICACLS C:\Windows\System32\AudioEng.dll/grant administrators: F
    • copy YourFreshDllDirectory\AudioEng.dll C:\Windows\System32\AudioEng.dl

Make sure you did it in both places.
    Enjoy!

  • Virtual Com ports never get reused after UN-installing of software that use

I have install and uninstall the bluetooth drivers (Microsoft, broadcom and bluesoliel) in order to obtain different devices to work. When I started this exercise, used by bluetooth comm ports were low numbers (com 4 and 5 for example). If I uninstall the bluetooth drivers, then reinstall the or some other driver, the com port numbers used become com 6 and com 7).  Old ports com can never get reused and there seems to be any place where I can find them (and I hope that free them from their State of limbo).

Now that I've got things nearby work properly, I get to com 25.

This also happens with the bluetooth drivers not as my GPS through a series of USB converter. or my palm for synchronization software.

That is to say the problem is not just with bluetooth. It's with any program that uses a serial port.

I'm afraid I might run out of com ports, and perhaps these unused com ports consume resources (are they built during startup?)     Hmmmm... Looks like I ran out of space... Al

    Hi again
Well, I made a variation on your theme
1 turned on or plugged in devices that could use a virtual serial port - 3 of them
com 26 2 with one of them, I have attributed it to 25, then 24, etc. all the way up to 3 comm
That unlocks (disabled the use in indication) for all of the unused ports.

reassigned the 2 remaining ports to com 4 and 5

    Thanks for the help

I hope that Super Antispyware has given you the opportunity to remove those things. Since your initial Malware scan came clean, it is likely that located SuperAntispyware cookies only track, which are odious, but generally not a threat from System.

It is possible that you have apps which unknown to you, that run automatically in the background whenever you start your program. It is good to check if they are legitimate and necessary to launch when you start your PC.

Start button, click on you. In the run box, type: msconfig.exe

A System Configuration tool runs. Go to the Startup tab. You will find a list of applications that are set to run every time your PC starts. If you recognize all of them, use Google to help identify their purpose. Many times, you can open the application that is in question and prevent the application from starting. For example, on my system, I see that Java runs once more a verification tool to update each time you start. In this case, I can set my preferences Java Panel, select Java and uncheck automatically search for updates.

I also use OpenOffice and it wants to run a startup of service to reduce the time that openoffice requires to open. I don't really want something constantly running in the background to save me a few seconds to open the application. Then I go to Google to find out where the switch is to disable this "feature".

If you have unwanted applications running in the background, it is best to either uninstall, our to disable the option that allows them to run at startup. Although you could definitely "uncheck" the application through msconfig.exe, it is essentially a tool of troubleshoouting and not intended for the struggle of the apps (even if you do).

You can always uncheck/check again on this list to see their impact when you then restart your PC.

Once you have verified that apps that are set to start, you can run Windows Task Manager and scroll elements in the process and Services tabs to see what is running. The Services tab can be pretty intimidating to investigate on (there is a lot of misinformation the ' net), so if you are unsure about the services listed, it is best to ask or to jump on this area.
