Method to determine if the device is in DST?

Hi, I looked around, but I'm not...

Is there a standard (or algorithm) method to determine if a device is in time, regardless of its current time zone?

(I develop in 4.2.1 but I would appreciate a solution for a later version of the operating system).

Thanks for any help.

Edit:

Missed your post, I see that we thought along the same lines.  I have not had a detailed look, but I'd be concerned about your code to work because if DST is used or is not specific times as well in specific Date.  I'm not sure that your code works correctly on the first and last days of the DST.  Unchecked hard you mind.  Would be interested in your comments.

  • Get the device ID in the BpsSubscriptionMessageBuilder.createByteSubscriptionMessage method

    Hi all,

First of all, sorry if this thread is not appropriate because there is a similar. If there is, I have not found.

I want to build an application compatible with its server push, but I don't want to use servlets and the jar provided by push SDK service.

I think that the only thing I have to do in the server part is to get the PAP message with the required parameter 'address' (the device) using low level libraries.

However, I have a problem of developing the application in the device. Using this code as a reference:
    http://docs.BlackBerry.com/en/developers/deliverables/21128/Subscribe_to_a_BPS_content_provider_1226...

I see that the parameter 'address' is obtained in the createByteSubscriptionMessage method, but I don't see its implementation to get the parameter 'address' (got to the servlet subscription) because it is a native method.

    Thus,.

    1 - see the API:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/developers/docs/7.0.0api/NET/rim/device/API/IO/messaging/BpsSubscriptionMe...

What is the parameter 'address' obtained in the server (servlet subscription) part? The device ID? How can I get it back?

2 - I could build the app-client just stay at step 6 and send the HTTP message on my way?

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you all.
    Kind regards.

If I understand what you're trying to ask is how to get the address of the device your application to initiator to push aside server.

If so, you can see an example here:

    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/Java/documentation/registering_to_receive_push_messages.html

Basically, you can see the code example in the sample application compatible push built a HTTP message to send to its application server-side. Although this example sends the HTTP message in the format SDK expects that you don't need to use the SDK or the same format, but you can follow the example to send a simple HTTP message on your own server to send the information about your application requires server-side. For example, the link above shows that to get the address of the device, you can do this:

    Integer.toHexString( DeviceInfo.getDeviceId() )

In side your application server, you must save the address of the device, then when you build the push request message that you use as the address of the device if you are using the low level SDK APIs (or enter this value in the field address PAP XML if not not using the SDK).

  • How to determine if the user of the mobile device is looking at a site office?

    Hello

We have activated the Mobile support for a site.  So now, when a user on a mobile device go to the website they see mobile model.

The mobile template includes a link to the user to view the full site: < a href = "/ index.html? visitorDeviceClass = desktop" > full view of the Site < /a >

We want to add a link 'view the Mobile Site"on the Office site but only for users of mobile devices.

We tried to {{globals.cookie}} and {{globals.visitor}} to see if there is something we can watch (using javascript) to determine if we have a mobile user who visits the site of the office.  But it looks like visitorDeviceClass and deviceClass are set to "desktop" for real desktop users and mobile users who clicked on the link "View Full Site.

We believe that we could be able to watch her User Agent but do not know what OS is displayed for Windows phones and we are not dependent on not user agent.

    Question:

Does anyone know of a way for us to determine if a mobile device user look at the desktop version of the site so that we can add a link 'view the Mobile site?

  • Stop method determines when the corruptions are repaired

    Hi all

Above statement is 'Oracle 10g Ocp Guide of Certification all-in-one'. This statement "chosen shutdown method determines when the corruptions are repaired" is written in the section recovery instance.

Now the question is, if we do normal stop, how can the database or instance to get corrupt?, Corruption can be occurred only because of the messy or 'give up' or any other breach. It can be detected only at the next startup. So this is the difficulty that corruptions are repaired at the start of the proceedings thus set out reference in question makes no sense.

If someone can explain to me, what is submitted statement is all about?, I have.

    Thank you

What devices is touch screen, there is a class touch screen and an isSupported() method, which returns false, if the touch screen is not supported on the device. Is there a similar method for Gps and Wifi, too? I searched the web, but I can't find anything about this and I think that's not good filter device names to determine if the application should run or not. I would appreciate a quick response time to the app's short... Thanks in advance.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall the device, but the error just return. I can't find a driver to make it on the web site of the manufacturer or Toshiba. I don't want to use the product recovery CD because it means I'm losing all software and data on the hard drive.

Can someone advise how to recover from this situation?

    Thank you

    Hello

First of all you n t a driver for the CD/DVD drive. The drive uses the standard Windows OS driver and it s not necessary to install additional.
I suppose that there could be something wrong with the registry entry.

  • Can't see the devices connected to 2.4 GHz WiFi

I recently bought and set up a R6220-100NAS Netgear with the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi signals available less than a month ago and updated to the latest firmware, when I ran my initial installation (although I don't know which version it is). I have 1 PC connected to my router and other devices (including my printer) are connected wireless.

Since the installation of this new router, I noticed that I cannot print on my Canon PIXMA MX892. I was not able to solve this problem, as much as I would like, but so far, I've been able to determine that the printer is only able to connect to my network of 2.4 GHz, and I can't ping from my PC (ping to the IP address response comes back under the name of "unreachable" as opposed to the typical error "request Ping" can't find host).

I tried ping my Smartphone when it is connected to the 5 GHz WiFi band and had no problems. When I spent my smart phone to the band of 2.4 GHz and ping its IP once again, I got the same message "inaccessible".

Some tips on how I can still fix this and restore my print capabilities?

Problem solved. I did a factory reset on the router (and manual reconfiguration) and I can now print and ping on two WiFi networks devices successfully. Looking at the configuration settings that I saved before the reset, it looks like isolation wireless has been activated for the 2.4 GHz WiFi network. It was set to '1' in the .cfg file.

It was my suspicion from the beginning, but I couldn't find the setting in the router installation options.

Once itunes game is finished, it automatically removes the songs on the device, it matched?

    Hello

ITunes game scans your iTunes library on your computer to determine which can be mapped or needs to be uploaded. It leaves the original files intact. If a track is matched and you want to upgrade to 256 Kbps, you select Delete DOWNLOAD hen you can download the upgraded versions. The music was everything or uploaded from your computer will be available to listen to or download on your iOS devices.

  • Subtraction and the determination of the base

Hi everyone - I need help to determine how best to make a determination of the base then subtract leaving just the tops.  My data are profilometry measurements on a substrate surface.  As you can see in the table below the substrate surface is pretty simple but not lying flat on the scanner table.  I'm looking for a simple method identify the linear base line, then he subtract from the raw data, leaving the four peaks with essentially a zero/horizontal) basis.  Then I can use the Ridge detector to identify the peaks and their locations so that I can make additional calculations (especially area of the PEAK and average maximum height).

Any suggestions on the best way to go about this?

An polynomial fit using the "less absolute residual" is relatively sensitive to outliers and seems to work quite well in this particular case.

See if it works for you.

    Hello

I just deploy the tomcat in windows server 2008 and to test whether it is installed correctly. When I opened the IE9 and type in http://localhost: 8080, he goes to the homepage of tomcat successfully. However, when I slap http://127.0.0.1:8080, it shows that Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage (normally, these two methods are the same for the homepage of tomcat).
