  It is difficult to understand, from your description, what is your problem.  What is your view or is it a slow response?  When computers are running OK in Mode safe mode but not in Normal Mode, it is usually caused by a program that runs at startup in Normal Mode but not in Mode without failure.  To debug this type of problem, you must use "msconfig" to enable / disable startup items until you find the source of the problem.

  Whenever you think that disk errors, the first thing you can do is run "chkdsk" with the /F or/r option (or use one of the boxes, if using the graphical user interface).  WARNING: It will be after the next reboot, takes usually 1 to 2 hours (or more if there is a lot of drive problems) and can not be interrupted.

• 10 for Vista security updates do not settle. Have tried everything I can find on the web, here, difficulty-it... ad nauseam.

  Windows Update tried to install "10 updates important" for several days, and all have failed to install.  I have tried everything I can even, at one point, purchase ImproveSpeed that one of the web pages of Microsoft directed me, claiming that would fix it.  Nothing I've tried has solved the problem and I've tried everything but manually change the registry which I don't feel comfortable doing so.  I spent $ 40.00 for ImproveSpeed and that has not worked... Please, someone, please help.  This is nutz.

  Rhea answer Desk technology, was correct: since "Mainstream support" for Vista SP2 ended on April 10, 2012, Microsoft offers is no longer support for security updates.  Similarly, MS has not offered this support to users of Windows XP to the last few years. [Yes, this is all very confusing!]

  I tried 3 pairs of speakers front, rear, type usb, plug type.  Initially, it stopped working, then computer has crashed, I had fixed it, now always the speakers out no sound - whistle just let me know that they are connected.  The computer says that they are working correctly, however they do not have.   I did in December sync my new Kindle but that is the only change to the computer.  Any suggestions?  The repairman will come back next week but in the meantime I would like sound.  It will not play music - either from Pandora or CD computer.  Thank you!!

  Phonetic, you experience a card number.  I don't know how helpful this will be but have tried to reinstall the sound card drivers?  What kind of sound card do you have?  Have you tried the speakers with other computers?  What kind of computer do you have?  What version of windows is running?

  For these last days were able to load anything within the Firefox browser. No error messages, simply login on the tab page capable of loading on other browsers, but I greatly prefer Firefox.

I tried to type in the topic: config in the address bar and changing the browser.newtab.url back to about: newtab but it won't save my changes.   Three options.

  1: take the corners of the window and drag it to the format full screen. Do not use to expand. Close all other windows first via the taskbar and the latter. Windows will remember the size of the last closed window the next time that you open the program.

  2: any shortcut you use to launch the window, right-click, and select Properties. Under the 'Run' drop-down list, choose "expanded".

I was able to install all the drivers from Dell Web site, but I can't seem to find a way to get the right driver for the "network controller". I have tried driver identifier and it shows me two missing drivers: 1: BCM43142A0, 2: network controller.

  The last Reference Dell driver for the Dell Wireless 1704 map is 6.30.223.228. You can also try the later card Dell Wireless 1708 6.30.223.245 (both are adapted Broadcom drivers) first directly and then in Device Manager.

  So I looked at this and checked the forums and still cannot find a solution to this problem I have.

  I have all the settings that I can see, the quality parameters, parameters of transcoding and exported PP footage in 16 / 9, also tried to interpret the images to SD PAL widescreen and when I burn the DVD it burns ALWAYS 4:3... am I missing something obvious? Previews show in 16 / 9, M2V PP stills plays in 16 / 9... I've been at this for hours and hours, any help would be appreciated.

  I'm also quite new to this, so maybe that's the problem.

  My experience has been that VLC does not always follow the proportions. Don't forget to stop 'window always fit' and set the format of image instead of "default".

  This does not mean that you have our correct DVD, it's just that you can't necessarily count on VLC.

  Do you mean that a DVD disc engraved on a player connected to a TV did not work? If so, go back to this set and check the settings of the DVD drive.

  If your playback settings are correct, then something else in your workflow is turned off. Report screenshots of the project Panel and timeline properties.
