  • Database pogram worked under Windows XP but does not work under Vista

I have a piece of third party software that I bought in 2002 is based on MS Access. It is a program of inventory control with a number of predefined data entry forms and reports. Initially, he worked under Windows 2000 and continued running when I upgraded to Windows XP. However, after the upgrade to Vista, I get the error message "the Microsoft Data Access components are not found on your system. These must be installed to the program works correctly. "I've updated to Office 2002 to Office 2007 to try to solve the problem, but without success.

Are there other components of access or other software that I can download to keep this work programme (the original third-party supplier is no longer in business).

Furthermore if this third party access program is a "module compiled access", and then upgrade to Access 2007 will not help. You may be able to connect to the old Access db to Access 2007, but then you have to write all the modules to allow the use of the program.

If the program is not a compiled module in Access 2007, you must change the vba modules to be complient with your installed version of access

  • Reference software does not work under Windows 7

Reference 9, a bibliographic database program, does not work under Windows 7.  It worked fine under XP.  Support of reference people were a great help and I'm stuck with the program so far.  The program opens and can be saved, but when you do a search, the first research work, but a second search will generate a message 'quote has stopped working.  A problem caused the program to sop work correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. "Then you must click on the" close program"button to close the program and then re - start.

Are you sure that all the prerequisites for the program have been installed (like the .net Framework or VC ++ runtime libraries)?

In addition, is the version of the reference program tested by the people of tech reference that same as you use?

Please make sure the version of the program made for Windows 7 is available, and if yes, you can use this version of Windows 7.

    A work around:

If the program fails to work, even if all prerequisites have been installed, you can try to install the software in Windows XP Mode (not recommended, but we can not miss this in the case of legacy programs). You can take a look at the following links:

  • You need to get the printer to Epson EPL-7500 driver that works under Windows 7.

My Epson EPL 7500 is not included in the list of printers US shown in the choice of printer install in Windows 7.  I called Epson and they no longer support this printer but suggest that contact Microsoft to see if they have new drivers for Windows 7 (is this printer on the XP list).  I was unable to find a free way to ask microsoft to this topic.  Any ideas?

Their adviser is false - Microsoft creates no drivers, is the manufacturer of the equipment.  So if Epson does not offer drivers so there is zero and the unit will not work under Windows 7.

Although the game is listed by the developers as compatible with Win XP, it works absolutely fine in Windows 7 but does not work under Windows 8, or in compatibility modes either. Have you tried all the corrections proposed in the thread above credits, and no help.
Some tips that I can spend on the game developers on how to try to make compatible Win8 game, can be useful, as I have their contact information.

    Hello

Microsoft maintains a full division (MSDN) whose only goal is to help developers creating Windows compatible software. The developers of this game would need to use an SDK (Software Development Kit) or one of the other products developer to build the game.

You can ask this question on the MSDN forums.

    MSDN forums:

Did you ask the developers if they plan on an update of Windows 8 support?

I just upgraded my Dell Dimension 5100 to Windows 7 from XP. I can't get any internet connection with cable or wireless. I think the problem is the PCI modem. Where can I download the compatible driver Intel(r) 537EP V9x DF PCI Modem work under Windows 7?

Thank you for your comments. I use the dial upward. However, my PC does not connect to broadband, even with direct Ethernet cable connection or adapter wireless Netgear WPN111, I used happily with XP on the same computer. Device Manager displays the PCI as incompatible. FYI, I downloaded and installed the latest drivers for the wireless card.

    Install the following:

Dell systems must run more stably once they installed. I would remove the modem PCI card.

Intel Pro/100 VE Ethernet should work natively with Windows 7 as Windows 7 has built-in driver:

    Hi tenleyvan,

Could you please if you want to XI default Acrobat open pdf documents?

Or do you want to open pdf in Microsoft Edge?

Do XI Acrobat default to open the PDF, right-click on any pdf file > click Open with > choose another application > select Adobe Acrobat in the list > check "Always use this app to open .pdf files" > OK

It goes the same for Microsoft Edge, select Microsoft Edge in the list instead of Adobe Acrobat.

  • The ADF Mobile preview pane does not work under Windows 8.

The ADF Mobile preview pane does not work under Windows 8 64-bit even I use Jdeveloper 11.1.2.4.0 version, but I use windows 7 64-bit or windows xp works fine.

How to solve this problem, please.

    Thank you!

    Hello

I installed JDeveloper 11.1.2.4 on my machine Windows 8 and the extension of the ADF Mobile. I can open the ADF Mobile Viewer. There is therefore no problem with this on Windows 8. I used the generic facility, which is that I have installed the JDK and then run the command for installing JDeveloper Java-jar.

  • Calendar task no longer works under Windows 7 64-bit

    Greetings,

Recently, I realized some of my scheduled tasks had ceased to work and have not worked for more than a month. My system changes frequently, because my machine is used for the development, so I regularly uninstallation and installation of various tools, packages, updates, etc...

Therefore the answer to the question, what has changed on your machine recently, several things have changed. Too many to pin-point and exclude.

In services, I try to start the Task Scheduler service and receive this error message:the Task Scheduler in service on Local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs. I see this and it's Ok, all right. Service does not work because it does not need to be. The service is configured to run under the Local System account.

I then try to open the Task Scheduler application (Admin Tools > Task Scheduler) and receive this error immediately at startup until:remote computer was not found. OK, beyond the error and the Task Scheduler interface loads with errors. Status of the task: Reading Data Failed., active tasks: reading data failed.

Right click on the Task Scheduler (Local) node > configuration of Service account error:the following error is reported: the Task Scheduler Service is not running.

Hmmm... service does not start because it is not but Task Scheduler cannot function without the service running. Where should I go from here?

I posted this question in the wrong forum: http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/Offtopic/thread/e1fb1fbe-d561-4d86-aeb2-a6f9efc70293/

It seems that this forum configuration does not allow issues passes to another forum. I had to re-post here.

    Found the solution:

    Start > run > regedit
    Navigate to HKLM\SOFTWARE\ (Wow6432Node\ on x 64 systems) MICROSOFT\RPC\INTERNET
Export this key to save first, then delete the Internet key (and its subkeys).
    Restart your system
Scheduler tasks and application Task Scheduler service works perfectly after reboot.

  • Microphone does not work under Windows XP Home - P100

    Hi all

I am a new user of French a P100-473 series and games. I have it downgrade to Windows XP Home edition for the goal of the game.

I use conexant high definition driver v 3.11 and its working fine but not the microphone plug on the front of the laptop. I tried all the driver conexant Web 3.12 3.14 and after and the problem is reversed, the microphone does not work very well "using the audio msn Configurator" but I have no sound.

The driver is working properly, no error, but not sound under windows. Does anyone have a solution for me?
I have worked on this for 1 week and I really want to resolve the thing, because the cell phone is a great product and on vista, it works like a 486.
    Thank you very much

    Hello

On the Toshiba download page there is unfortunately no driver audio Windows XP Home edition for this laptop preinstalled Vista. Read some other assignments that I found the same reports sound works but mic cannot be used.

Sorry, but it is clear at the moment, there is no solution to this stupid attachment problem. :(

Just one last thing: try to install your own Vista without Toshiba has designed tools and utilities and let me know how your P100. ;)
