Microsoft IAS 2003 login authentication problems

I searched and searched for an answer to this, but noghting seems to work. I have IAS authenticate users for authentication of connection on 1230ag access point and switch 2950 using Active Directory for the user database. I works very well except for the fact that I can't get the device and the IAS to send the user directly to the mode even after the addition of the "shell: priv-lvl = 15 ' attribute from seller to the access policy. Will someone report the steps that have worked for them that allows the authentication of connection AAA with local users to a backup database? Any help would be appreciated. I would add that I can only access level 1 on the console, telnet and web interface (AP) and I was debugging on the process of the AAA and although I did not copy it in a txt file it looked as if the ' shell: priv-lvl = 15 ' reached the AP and the switch. Thank you.

I understand, you have the 'Permanent', the device list.

Add following the order. If you make changes in your configuration. I ask you to also provide the configuration changes.

Add the commands

username privilege 15 password

RADIUS server host key

AAA authentication login default local radius group

AAA authorization exec default local radius group

line vty 0 4 or line vty 0 15

by default the authentication of connection

lack of authorization exec

Kind regards

Prem

  • Cairngorm login authentication problem

    Hello

Currently I am doing an application that allows a user to log on and according to their level of authorization, they may have full access to the application or have limited access.

Currently I have implemented so that when the user submits their login information, I send an event that calls the order login and connection delegate validates the result, if successful, then it updates a variable called loginAccess in the model.

In the main mxml, I put in place so that when loading first the currentState property is related to the loginAccess in the model, so when we connect and succeeds then the variable loginAccess is updated, which then updates the current state of the main application. It works fine, totally in function logout simple connection, but I need to present the viewer with something different based on their permission level - allowing the entire application to be accessible if you are an administrator and one that is destined to a comments user who can only see parts of the application.

So what, in my opinion, would be the easiest is if the user is prompted, then I can hide or remove some controls and components like tabs, buttons and labels that are not allowed if the user is an administrator and do nothing are.

This is my problem, I have no way to determine if a user is a guest or an admin at the point when the user first connects.

In other words, if I do an if/else statement such as: If the user is prompted and then remove the 2nd child of the tab navigation, then I have no the case in my main application to call it, because if I call to creationComplete it is too early, the user has not connected...

    I am making sense here?

I wonder if I can send some sort of an event of the LoginCommand once the authorization of the user is determined that will then trigger a function in the main mxml which will exercise a function to remove components (if they are a guest), but I don't know how to do this as when the user first connects the connection event is dispatched by the connection component and not the main mxml.

I do not know if my approach is the best way or if there is a better way.

Please if anyone has any suggestions that would be great,

I created this application a few weeks ago completely in flex and am now converted to cairngorm as an exercise and everything is done except for this part.

Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Authentication problems with PEAP WLC IAS Windows 2 k 3

    Hi all

I configured a WLC (6.0.182.0 model 2100) with authentiacion PEAP with IAS and DA of Microsoft Windows 2003. I read in the documentation "PEAP under Unified Wireless networks with Microsoft Authentication Service IAS (Internet)" in the process of installing Active Directory, it must select the "Permissions compatible with operating systems prior to Windows 2000 server". In my scenario the other option was selected "Permissions compatible only with Windows Server 2003 operating system or Windows 200".

I test this scenario and it does not work.

Is there a configuration in the WLC so that it can operate without having to reinstall the AD?

    Thank you

In most cases the WLC does not care about the type of authentication is used. It's really just the transmission by proxy requests between the client and the Radius server.

    Hello

I found something very interesting for you.

Preinstalled MS OneNote cannot be updated for Service Pack 1. When an update or reinstallation of Microsoft Office OneNote on the laptop, the following error message may appear:
"Installation of Microsoft Office OneNote cannot continue because the installation source has been corrupted."

Try reinstalling Microsoft Office OneNote from the Toshiba Recovery DVD. OneNote is present on a more recent version of this DVD, but not on the first version. If Microsoft Office OneNote is not present on the Toshiba Recovery DVD, then follow these steps to resolve the problem:

    1. Locate the product key Microsoft Office OneNote, on the certificate of authenticity provided with your computer.
    2. uninstall Microsoft OneNote, through the Add/Remove Programs applet in the control panel (start > settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs).
    3. download the Microsoft Office OneNote 2003 trial on the Microsoft website:
    https://Microsoft.order-4.com/onenotedl/welcome.asp?ID=front
    4. install OneNote 2003 trial, using the product key from the certificate of authenticity located in step 1 instead of the product key listed on the Microsoft Web site. The product provided by Toshiba key unlocks the full version of OneNote trial version is a part of.

  • 4402 controller and Microsoft IAS

We have recently installed a 4402 WLC and all our standalone AP improved to of LWAPP. Each of the previous AP had an entry in IAS Radius. Can they be deleted without IAS problem now? As far as I can see IAS logs all authentication requests are received from the WLC only.

If I remove them, it will allow me to add other Cisco devices in IAS since Microsoft sets a limit of 50 customers.

I was not able to find a definitive answer to this in the documentation.

I have no connection to this, but yes, you can remove your Radius server's individual access points.

Authentication is now managed by the WLC and IAS Radius.

  • Missing Microsoft Office 2003 product key

I have Microsoft Office 2003 on an old computer that was given to me. Microsoft Office 2003 has never been installed on this computer but when I try to run it, it asks for Product Key.I never had the CD and the owner before me did not. How I can fnd the product key, or I can get around it somehow?

    Hello Arnie,

You will need to contact the previous owner of the product key if he or she had brought the Office 2003 program. Incase if the program is not authentic and the previous owner is not a product key, then you can buy the Office Suite and then you can install it on the computer. You can get the latest Office Suite which is available in the following links:

    Hello

    1. Did you of recent changes to the system before the show?
    2. You are able to install other updates to Windows?

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Restart the computer in a clean boot state to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting steps, follow section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    (e) when you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.
