  I'm using Mircosoft XP Pro & in an automatic update the following Module was noted as required - Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 4 (KB2463332) - but it will not be installed.

  Your computer is on the field? If so, you probably haven't privileges to download and install Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 3 (KB955706)

  In most cases, these errors are caused by temporary problems caused by very slight interruptions in communications between the computer to update and the update to download.   I tried to install this service pack for the last 2 weeks now, but it will not be installed. As part of the update, it keeps even after 3 hours and did not finish.
  The icon just guard cycling.
  When I open / FEATURES of the PROGRAM the following programs are installed.
  Microsoft Server 2005
  2005 server compact ed (enu)
  native client server
  file server installation media
  SQL server vss writer
  I have edition windows Home premium 32-bit installed.
  My system is custom built with 2 GB ram 500 GB HDD Intel core 2 quad CPU Q6600 @2.4 GHz 2.39 GHz and gt 8600 graphics card nividia.
  I did have trouble to install other updates until now.
  Please please help as someone who is completely self-taught, and proud of it I find this very frustrating problem

  I tried to change settings in the start menu > right click on my computer > properties > advanced > Error Reporting > disable, enable (checked everything) does not.

  I tried to reinstall DISAE nothing works.  I tried to uninstall, reinstall, AND REINSTALL AGAIN without success.

  Has anyone ever got this message of particular error and, if so, what have you done about it; so that the DISAE open reliably EVERY TIME?  Thank you.

  Hi Ganesh, thanks for trying.  I tried a different approach.  I used a program uninstaller - Revo Uninstaller - completely uninstall MS DISAE, including all registry entries associated with it could find.  Then I reinstalled DISAE.  This seems to have fixed the problem, so maybe it was a registry entry that program uninstaller left behind.

  I still don't know why the EULA appears in Japanese characters... but if the program works, I guess it doesn't matter.

  To view the history of installation, follow these steps:

  b. on the Web site, click view update history.
   
  c. find the latest entry for the specific update.
   
  d. Note the color of the icon in the status column. If the icon is green, the update has been installed. If the icon is red, the update is not installed.
   
  Check the status and let us know.

  ·         What is the full error message?

  ·         You use a third-party security software?

  I suggest you follow these methods.

  Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software.

  Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished.   I was trying to Visual Basic 2005 Express edition. It stops in the middle and gives me an error message: Visual Studio 2005 has a compatibility problem known with this version of Windows. But when I start the Visual Basic Express Edition the above error message is copied.
