Microsoft Picture it! Platinum edition program

I just got a new computer and I can't get the program above to load on Windows 7.  I LOVE THIS PROGRAM and understand that well as I used it for 6 years.

What program can I get to replace my old or is there something I need to know to load on windows 7? If I would have known this, I would have kept my old stuff! Someone help please... .craft see the season starts next month and I need my program!

Please and thank you!

Everything I read indicates that the program is not compatible with Windows 7.

  • How can Windows Picture and Fax Viewer - I specify the editing program?

I set things up so that Windows Picture and Fax Viewer is the default program when I opened a variety of types of image files, which allowed me to get a quick overview without waiting for a program to load full image editing. What I need to be able to do is to specify which program is then launched by WP & FV when I click on the bottom right of the screen edit button - one with text that says "closes this program and opens the image in edit (Ctrl + E).

If I click with the right mouse button and select 'Open with' and then I can select in the usual list of possible programs, but what I want is to set a default value for each file type so that a left click of the button automatically opens the appropriate program. I tried the "program to choose...". "and"Always use the selected program to open this type of file"route after a right-click on the button, but what is happening is that the selected program then becomes the global default and circumvents WP & FV altogether.

    Any ideas?

  • Installation of Microsoft Picture it! Publishing Platinum 2001 on Windows 7

I you LIKE Microsoft Picture it!.  There is no other product out there that allows you to edit, crop, to improve your photos and make a variety of products such as cards, flyers, ads, etc.

But I bought a new computer and it came with Windows 7.  I installed the program, but it will not be open upwards.  Says "he has experience an error and windows will shut down and seek a solution for the error.  I think that perhaps the program is not compatible with Windows 7.

Does anyone have a method to install Microsoft Picture It! on Windows 7.  If so, I'd like to know what I can do to get this installed.  I have hundreds of projects, I finished and now I can't access one of them - nor new credit.

Thanks to anyone who can help with that.  Thank you

    Compatibility

You have the latest version of the software? Some earlier programs may not work in Windows 7.

If this is not the case, check with the program manufacturer if they have updates or fixes for the software.

Windows 7 Compatibility Center check the compatibility of the programs:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

    Troubleshoot Compatibility

This can help with some (but not all) programs:

    (1) uninstall the program, if it is already installed. Then when install you / reinstall instead of double click on the Setup file, right click and select 'resolve compatibility issues.

    (2) then click on 'Try recommended settings' and in the next window, click on "Start the Program" to install it.

    (3) after he set up see if it works properly. Note: some programs are perhaps not able to run in windows 7.

  • Is there a program similar to the program Microsoft Picture It?

I recently bought a computer with Vista inistalled.  I have a program Microsoft Picture It, that I love dearly, I can't work now because of the 64-bit computer that I use now.  I was told that Microsoft no longer produces the program Microsoft Picture It.  What is a comparable program; so far I have not found one that will do the things that the program Microsoft Picture It will be.

Try this do right click on the icon go to properties then compatibility then check the box run this program in compatibility mode to use the drop-down list and then click the windows 98 / me. Mine has worked this way and I am running windows 7 on my computer.  I hope this helps.
