Microsoft Window - Kodak EasyShare Software has stopped.

A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. Windows will close the problem & warn if a solution is available. Windows says close the program. I waited for Windows to inform me on the solution. Nothing so far

Installed software Kodak on 28/08/2010 @ 11:13 worked everyday until 09/05/2010 when I received above message after startup.

What is the solution?

Hi lppriestley,

1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

Method 1

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you perform a clean boot and check.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

(a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

(b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

(c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

(d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

Method 2

If the previous step fails, then I suggest that you uninstall the Kodak of computer software using the Kodak removal tool and then reinstall the latest version and check if it works.

  • Windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped working

Is a general Vista problem and also a general problem of Thinkpad, but it has what I feel to be a frequency among the W500s so I thought to post it here.

In recent weeks, I got this error (Windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped working) several times. A lot of googleing will tell you that it can be caused by a number of things, for example other video programs, Nero burning software, video codecs and burning software and the ATI catalyst control center.

For me, uninstalling the ATI catalyst control center and the rest of the correction of the error of video card drivers. Resettlement has reduced. Uninstall them and then only by reinstalling the driver first, then check catalytic Center later after another reboot all reinstalled successfully and also got rid of the error.

However, two days ago I updated my lenovo Power Manager and after the next restart, I started getting this error again. I tried the trick with video drivers, but this time I was not so lucky. Uninstall them completely is not even get rid of the error. I think only it is the new power manager I uninstalled everything and somehow got rid of the error.

I'm about to reinstall the power manager and I hope he's not bring error.

Another thing, I found that can cause this error:

I'd just do a fresh install of vista and lenovo apps + Manager supply and everything worked. Since I never use the optical drive, I went to the Device Manager and disabled, which gave me the error Rundll32.exe about 60 seconds later, and this caused again Manager power to stop working, even after that it recharges.

I finally understand that disabling my optical drive Springs somehow this error on me which then also stops Power Manager. The optical drive from the reactivation got rid of the error immediately.

  • * Kodak EasyShare Software.

Hello. I have a Kodak EasyShare M863 camera and I've been using the Kodak EasyShare software. I don't like the EasyShare software! It is slow to load so I prefer to use Windows to see what's in my camera, but Windows Explorer does not detect the SD card in the camera. Is there a way to see the SD card in the camera without having to go out and put it in a card reader?

I had the same problem. First of all Uninstall Kodak Easyshare, then go to Control Panel/Performance Maintenance, system, hardware, Device Manager. Go down to USB controllers, find your camera, uninstall it, then disconnect your camera. Connect again. Turn your camera on and it shoud install itself.

  • Windows host process Rundll32 has stopped working ONLY at startup on the desktop.

When I start my Dell Inspiron 531 after that sign in the screen will Dim twice for a few seconds then the Windows host process Rundll32 has stopped working window appears. If you close another small window exactly the same error message mentioned above tells you that Windows will look for a solution but NEVER done. I use AOL version 9.0, I can sign and the big surf for dial-up access. I tried to download free Kaspersky on their site and an error message said it was incomplete or corrupted. I have Windows Security Essentials, Stopzilla, CCleaner, Glary Utilities, you run sfc/scannow, it cleaned up a few files and he tells me that he has no integrity problem after 4 scans. Also Internet Explorer cascades tiles and diverts the PC sometimes force a quick stop, it's really weird to see, very rare but happens. I wish that Microsoft would really worry about the Rundll32 error of work ceased and tell us customers how to fix this shit it is very boring I'll tell you. I want that my host process Rundll32 to work as it did for the past 2 years with no error message at startup. He never gives me these messages while I use the Internet. There are many pages of misinformation out there, can some Microsoft Engineer please give me that a definitive answer in particular to the Windows host process Rundll32 has ceased to function the error at startup ONLY and tell me how to fix Rundll32 file or the process, it would be greatly appreciated? Earlier, I heard another ad for the outdoor channel. Help, please!

I have Vista I know makes a difference in what I do.

It looks like something very funky happening with your Internet Explorer program.  It looks much like malware to me, but if you ran several scans with different products, then that may not be the case.  You can try several above - but you probably won't find anything (but you might--sometimes a virus is very sneaky and that one or two anti-malware programs are able to deal with them).

Since it seems to be a problem with Internet Explorer, I suggest that repost you your question (with a link to this topic so that they will know what's already been tried) to the Forum of Internet Explorer http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/InternetExplorer/threads where people who specialize in issues of IE will be happy to help you with your problem.

    Hi jackierae,

    1. what changes were mde on your computer before the problem?
    2. don't you also get an error with the message code?

I would like you to do the following to check if the problem persists.

    Step 1:

Check that the search service Windows is started and set to automatic.

    a. go to start > Control Panel
    b. Administrative Services > Services and scroll to Windows Search and double click it.
    c. make sure that it is set to automatic

    Step 2:

I would have you run SFC scan to check whether the problem is related to the missing or corrupted system file.
