These must be run as administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.

Run the Console application in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

In the Console window, select

DIAGNOSIS AND diagnostic USE information reports ▹ System

(not diagnose them and use Messages) in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select

List of newspapers seen ▹ display

in the menu bar.

There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points downwards. You will see a list of reports. A report of panic has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends with ".panic." Select the most recent. The content of the report is displayed at right. Allows you to copy and paste to validate all of the content, text, not a screenshot.

If you don't see any report, but you know, there was a panic, you have chosen diagnostic and using the list of Log Messages. INFORMATION on the USE of DIAGNOSTIC AND choose instead.

In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you change the UUID ' anonymous, ' a long string of letters, numbers and dashes in the header of the report, if it is present (it cannot be). "

Please do not post other types of diagnostic report.

I know that the report is long, perhaps several hundred lines. Please report all this anyway.

When you post the report, an error message may appear on the web page: "you have included content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." It's a bug in the forum software. Thanks for posting the text on Pastebin, then post here a link to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please do not select private in exposure menu to paste on the page, because no one else that you will be able to see it.

    Hi Julie,

Looks like you found a kernel panic, and they are more and more frequent. There is a great article here that should help you determine if this is something you can troubleshoot I would recommend that you take a look:

OS x: when your computer spontaneously restarts or displays "your computer restarted because of a problem."

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

When you see a beachball cursor or the slowness is particularly bad, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.

The title of the Console window should be all Messages. If it isn't, select

SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ all Messages

in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select

List of newspapers seen ▹ display

in the menu at the top of the screen bar.

Each message in the journal begins with the date and time when it was entered. Highlight date back to the time you noted above.

Select the messages entered since then until the end of the episode, or until they begin to repeat, whichever comes first.

Copy messages to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command + V.

The journal contains a large amount of information, almost all this is useless to solve any particular problem. When you post a journal excerpt, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Please don't dump blindly thousands of lines in the journal in this discussion.

Please do not post screenshots of log messages - text poster.

Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

When you post the journal excerpt, an error message may appear on the web page: "you include content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." It's a bug in the forum software. Thanks for posting the text on Pastebin, then post here a link to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please do not select private in exposure menu to paste on the page, because no one else that you will be able to see it.

  • MacBook air crashes, I'm unable to open all the applications but Safari.

MacBook air crashes, I'm unable to open all the applications but Safari. I can still access the app store to download some antivirus software. I downloaded AVG hoping it might cure the problem, unfortunately it made it worse. I got this macbook for about 3 years and I have not had problems. I recently opened safari on another user and he came with a message saying that you have now received a virus. I don't know what to do, or how I can fix this problem. The office is constantly freezing as well, I'm out of options!

Determine if you can start up your Mac in 'safe' Mode. Read how here: OS X El Capitan: safe mode. If you find that the document confusing or difficult to follow, please write back for instructions.

After you have determined how your Mac works in 'Safe' Mode, restart normally.

    Regarding your other concerns:

I recently opened safari on another user and he came with a message saying that you have now received a virus.

These messages are false. It is a very common scam. Read about it here: Phony 'technical support' / 'ransomware' popups and web pages

I downloaded AVG hoping it might cure the problem, unfortunately it made it worse.

It is to be expected. Don't waste your time with things. "AVG" can be particularly difficult to uninstall, a fact that I learned to evaluate myself. The problem is that its uninstall instructions do not work. I got by deletion of the Mac and restore its contents from a Time Machine backup. You have a backup?

  • MacBook air crashes after the release of sleep since the upgrade of the sierra

Began to notice that since I upgraded my macbook air 2015 to sierra, system crashes. The trigger is always when I wake the sleep system (whether it is by opening cover or press a key). Issue is intermittent and may not be reproduced every time. I contacted apple support and they recommended resetting the SMC (ctrl + shift + cmd) but that didn't help either. I also did a check of filesystem (fsck-fy) and which seems to be very well so.

I noticed others seem to be faced with similar problems and a common theme that I noticed was that both we seem to have an installed tardisk. Not sure if this could be a factor?

While it is not any loss of data, the question is certainly annoying and disruptive to work.

The same question was observed at about 7 times since the update of the sierra. Containing the report of Etrecheck to the breast

  • My 2013 series MacBook Air hot and slow or freezes when I'm on Facebook or Tumblr. In addition, the battery begins to drain. Why?

Whenever I'm on Facebook or Tumblr, my MacBook freezes and runs hot and slow, eventually freezing. He also began to overheat, with maximum speed cooling fan and battery drainage. This only happens when I'm on these two sites since it rolls when they are not open. There is no problem in loading the computer or using other programs and Web sites.

These issues have started only very recently, in the last week or so. What is strange is that for a number of programs or open tabs does not seem to cause problems, but once I open Facebook or Tumblr, the computer becomes overloaded (even if there are no other programs running outside of Safari and they are only two tabs open). Even YouTube does not cause the same effect.

    Help is very appreciated!

MacBook Air (13 inch, mid 2013), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

    Hey there!

What browser do you use? I had some problems of my own with Tumblr, Google Chrome, and power draining eventually led me to dump Chrome when I realized it was hogging all my resources. I recommend also to configure tumblr to show you your dashboard in the pages of 10 to 15 positions rather than scroll without end - in this way, he does try to keep everything loaded at the same time.

You can also see your Mac activity monitor while you use these sites to get a better idea of how the power of the computer's processor and RAM are handling activity.

  • MacBook Air crashes trying to finish the last day ox or restart.

I am filling beef BOF Eli Capitan was last updated. My MacBook Air has been sitting all night by train to restart after downloading the update. White screen and black progress bar - apple logo stops after 70% and accidents. Back at 50% and crashes again at 70%.

I saved before downloading, but I am always reluctant from the backup that I don't know what is blocking the update and will have to undertake this beef update later.

Any ideas what could be the problem.

    John

I can't get my MacBook Air to restart after downloading the last update of El Capitan.

To restart the system stops just at about 70%.

    The update is 10.11.3

How can I clear this error please?

  • Flickering screen using Fusion 5.0.3 on no later than 2013 (Haswell) MacBook Air

    Hi all

I just got one of the new air of MacBook Haswell-based and have installed the latest (5.0.3) on Fusion to run Windows 8 (x 86).

It installed fine, but now I have a large dark area flicker on the lower part of the screen. Even if I run in windowed mode, flicker extends

from the left edge to the right edge, but sound only half the screen height.

I first thought the MacBook Air was faulty, but it only started when I tried to run Win8 molten.

Also the flashing stops as soon as I switch to another Mac app and then comes back if I switch back to the merger, it certainly seems to be

    related to the merger.

    Everyone knows this?

    Thank you

    Charles

The unfortualty even happen on macbook pro... you need to disable hardware acceleration and is better...

Click the Apple logo in the upper left (left side of the Menu bar), and then choose "about this Mac".

Then, you can click on 'System report' in the lower left corner, then the line of "storage".

  • 21:9 (2560 x 1080) ultra wide screen Macbook Air does not work after macOS Sierra

I have a problem with my LG 29UM58.-p.

After the installation of macOS Sierra Switchresx (4.5.3) isn't my custom resolution 2560 x 1080 more. I already tried to uninstall Switchresx and took new custom resolutions, but it did not help... First of all, it did not save my custom resolutions and then he said no "installed" or "active - invalid? Also, someone said if you made an additional account on your mac and then define custom resolutions, you can then use it in your normal macaccount, but he also didn't work...

I tried (almost) everything... before the update of the software it was working fine. Oh and also I use HDMI to mini displayport.

Could someone help me out here?

    Thank you very much!

Hey man, same here. That I'm going through exactly the same thing here. I have a MacBook Air from 2013 and just bought the exact same display. I'm on MacOS Sierra.

  • MacBook Air wouldn't startup after starting get disk error

I was getting full boot disk error on my Macbook Air 2012 model a few times, and then it stopped starting (folder flashing with question mark began to appear). I followed the instructions on this site If flashing question mark appears when you start your Mac - Apple Support

but failed to copy data from the drive on an external hard disk. I could see my boot (MacintoshHD) on the disc utilities drive, but could the volume seems to be not mounted. The size of the disk is 128 GB and only 12 MB seems to be free.

1 has started the macbook in recovery mode. In disk utility, run check disk and repair utilities disk for the startup disk (MacintoshHD). No problems in the generated logs. The volume is not mounted and is dimmed.

2 selected MacintoshHD and tried to unlock it. The system tried for a while, and the password window disappeared after some time with the MacintoshHD via disk utility. When I restart the machine again in recovery, disk MacintoshHD reappears in the same situation.

    3. I was able to start the macbook after installing a new version of OS X in an external hard drive. During the installation of OS X, I couldn't copy the data from the volume MacintoshHD (possibly the drive is locked).

    4. I could not start my macbook in safe mode.

    My query is-

    1. I had not backed up my data by any means. What are my current options to copy my data MacintoshHD?

    2. because the MacintoshHD is locked and attempts to unlock it had no disk utility, it will help if I start my macbook target disk mode, connect to another mac via a thunderbolt cable and try to copy data?

    3. What are my options now to restore my macbook? Clear my boot drive (MacintoshHD) and reinstall OS X?

    Thank you

    Dip

The next trick could unlock your boot drive.

Boot into recovery mode, open Terminal.app and type

    Mount - uw /.

    close Terminal.app and reboot.

  • MacBook Air - trying to upgrade to El Capitan. Stuck with rotation of the rotation icon. I worked on it for nearly 24 hours.

I have a Macbook Air (13 inches, beginning 2014), with Yosemite. I am trying to download El Capitan, and he is stuck on 'download' with rotation rotation icon in place. I worked on it for nearly 24 hours.

Press and hold the power button on your Mac, until the screen goes black.

Then follow the instructions to start in Safe Mode

After you reboot under OS X, then try to download El Capitan.

Safe Mode boot removes the system caches that can help when you have problems in OS X upgrade.

  • Scrapie to screen in my MacBook Air end of 2014 after its withdrawal from full charge

I'm so attached to my MacBook Air! Even if someone gives me a version of more high end MacBook Pro in Exchange for him I wouldn't accept it!

Today, what happened was that I had my responsible MacBook about 4 to 5 hours, connected to the megsafe 2

After I took it off charge I turned on and it is ultra slow! He was eventually slow! Later I got so tense and restarted!

Once he turned back to the screen works glitter too and he said some safeboot in red color at the top bar for 2 seconds on the login screen

I almost started crying because it was heavy flickering of the screen and I really didn't want anyone to unscrew my MacBook Air baby! :/

Later, I turned it off and felt sad for a while and after 20 minutes I tried to turn it on and it worked absolutely fine!

Now I am typing this message from my MacBook Air

So, I just wanted to know if this issue would persist or come back again later at any time?

A lot of laptops could come could go, but this one is my love! So I don't want to lose! Pls tell me if it is a serious problem or that would not come again!

    Thanks in advance

It is normal that the screen is flashing in safe mode, which is what happens when the SHIFT key is pressed during startup. Just restart as usual, does not hold all keys.

  • 2013 end Macbook pro is not start after the apple logo appears

  • Update of the airport & MacBook Air

I've recently completed the update of the firmware for the Airport (version 7.6.7) express and now when I open my MacBook Air (13-inch, mid 2013 w/1.3 GHz Intel Core i5;) El Capitan 10.11.5; all updates are completed) to use the internet, there is no longer my home wifi automatically. This is not started past immediately after the update. Now all of a sudden whenever I wake up my laptop, I had to choose for my wifi instead of having the automatic connection. I change all parameters of airport utility or with my network preferences. No other device (including the iPhone and AppleTV) on the network had this problem. I did take my laptop anywhere else, so I don't know if is not to remember all the networks (even if preferences have known networks listed automatically to connect with) or if it is just with my home network.

    Any suggestions?

On the MacBook Air, try to remove the current registration for the network in system preferences / network / WiFi / advanced

Click OK, and then click on apply

Turn off and restart the AirPort Express

Restart the MacBook Air and try to connect to the network to see if the MBA will remember things
