  • Middle Mouse Button stops working

On Ubuntu LTS and Firefox 39.0 14.04. In the latest version, my middle mouse button worked, if there were times where I had to click in different places on the link so he can accept the click and open the link in a new tab. There are two versions, I had no such problem. With this version, 39.0, my Center button will not open the link in a new tab, I'm at RMC on the link and choose 'Open link in a new tab. In my config, mouse for these last options are set to True:
    Browser.Tabs.opentabfor.MiddleClick; true
    middlemouse. Paste; false
    middlemouse.contentLoadURL; true
    middlemouse.openNewWindow; true
    duplicatethistab. Link.MiddleClick.open_in_duplicate_tab; true
    duplicatethistab.bfhistory.MiddleClick.open_in_duplicate_tab; true

Initially a couple of them are false and I changed the true, but it still doesn't work.
    Suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Note that duplicatethistab prefs used by the extension to duplicate this tab, so it is possible that this extension is causing the problem.
Note that this extension is no longer maintained by its developer.

  • MP3s used to play in a new tab on middle mouse click. It now shows a save/open with dialog box. How to play n record mp3 if I want to?

Previous links to files mp3 used to get opened and played in a new tab by pressing the click way/scroll button. Like played mp3 I had an option to record the audio. After a reinstall of my OS (currently on Win 7 Professional 32 bits) and Firefox 41.0.1, I'm not able to do the same. Middle mouse click now opens a new tab and a dialog box open with - or save - as. There is no automatic playback. I would like to have the old function of Firefox. I don't know if my OS has installed SP and I am not able to install OS updates at the moment. Are there settings to do or a particular version of firefox to install to get what I want? I'm just an average user with a bit of computer know how. Thanks in advance.

Make sure that you have supported for Windows Media Foundation in your operating system.

  • How can I speed up my middle mouse button scrolling?

When I try to scroll down using the middle mouse button, it goes so slow I can't, so I use the scroll bar to the right. It's embarrassing for me. When I reset the button of the mouse on my windows to multiple lines, it allows to scroll too fast for my docs, but does not affect the scrolling in FireFox. I have looked for tools and options for this and cannot find anything to do about it.

You can try to change one (or two) of these hidden parameters:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste the wheel and take a break while the list is filtered

(3A) double-click the preference mousewheel.default.delta_multiplier_y and type a higher value to each movement of the wheel to cover more ground. For example, you can try 300 or 500. You can keep this tab open and to experiment with scrolling in a different tab until you find a value that gives you the speed you are looking for.

(3B) double-click the preference mousewheel.system_scroll_override_on_root_content.vertical.factor and type a higher value. For example, try changing from 200 to 500. You can keep this tab open and to experiment with scrolling in a different tab until you find a value that gives you the speed you are looking for.

I'm not sure I understand the reason why there are two such similar tariff preferences. One of them do you want?

  • Middle mouse button opens the link in the TWO tabs

Like many users, I started only problems with Firefox since the onslaught of updates began. For the most part, they disappeared with newer versions, or are minor annoyances.

MY PROBLEM: When I use the middle button of the mouse to open a link, it now opens the link to the top in two separate tabs. This started after the upgrade to version 29 only and did not immediately (perhaps a few days). I just updated to 29.0.1, who did nothing with regard to the question of fixing.

It is not the mouse, because I can open Chrome, find a link, use the middle mouse button and get only a tab.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the replies. An update since then has actually fixed all the problems except one. Now I'm trying to get the downloads to open in a tab, but only an extension seems to fix this...

  • My wireless mouse stop working

My wireless mouse stop working... any suggestions? I put a new battery in it and it still does not work?

    Hi Glenna,

Try a classic USB mouse to confirm that this isn't your system programs related to the mouse.

Try using different USB ports in order to check that it is not a problem with that specific port.

Try the mouse wireless on another computer to see if she's working.  That should help tell if the problem is with the mouse or with the computer.

If it came with the software, firmware and drivers, try to reboot to see if that solves the problem.

If she just started recently, try a system restore to a point in time before that the problem started.  If you use Windows 7, see:http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html. If you are using Vista, see:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/. If you are using XP, see:http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial56.html.

If the mouse doesn't work no matter what you try (on any computer), then chances are it is defective and must be replaced.  If it works on other computers, but not on this computer, then further efforts will be necessary to try to track down the problem.  If the above does not resolve the problem, after return with the results of what you have tried and what version of Windows are you using and the manufacturer, brand and model number accurate and complete of the wireless mouse.  Then this thread will probably be moved to where it should be (this is for feeback on the forums, the issues not techniques on mouse problems) and the people in this forum will also offer assistance.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

    Hi JimBrowne,

1 update you tried to install?

You can check the updates that are installed recently.

    a. Click Start, click all programs and then click Windows Update or Microsoft Update.

    b. on the Windows Update Web site or on the Microsoft Update Web site, click on view update history. A window opens that displays the updates that have been installed or that have failed to install on the computer.

You can try to perform a restore of the system to a restore point before you have been affected by the problem or the update has been installed and check.

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To run the system restore, you can consult the following link:

How to restore Windows XP to a previous state

For more information, you can also consult the following link:

    1. for how long have you been faced with this problem?

    2. did you of recent changes on the computer?
3 do you mean the computer crashes when you get the error?

    Method 1:

You can perform a scan of the SFC (System File Checker). It lists all the issues and will also retrieve all files if necessary. Follow the steps below to perform a Scan SFC -

original title: MY MOUSE STOPS WORKING AFTER PC IS IDEAL for 30 minutes. How can I fix this without having to reboot my pc

    Suggestions:

    2. use a different mouse and see if you have the same problem in the SAME conditions (idle for 30 minutes). If you have not, then your mouse may be defective.

  • My usb mouse stopped working

The problem is that my mouse usb (USB Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0), has stopped working, the light is on but the cursor does not move it works when I restart my computer. I tried the other mice and after some time (can be 2 min, 1 h its random) the mouse stops working. I tried to use the other usb ports and it dosnt work, I tried the system restore, but the dates are after the onset of the problem. If anyone can help me, I would be grateful. And sry about my bad English, which is not my language.

The only thing I found that worked the first time, every time (so far) is simply stop and UNPLUG your computer (for laptops... Disconnect the battery as well a few moments).

With the machine on, the motherboard may still have activity.   This is what needs to be reset.

Remove power, reboot and see if the mouse started working as you go through the screen "windows".

Once logged on, it should pass the routine "found new hardware". This will solve the problem of "Unknown USB device" which is related to the mouse works do not.

    It could be useful!

    See you soon

  • Keyboard and USB mouse stops working and kicking in and out.

    Hello

I'm having a problem with my keyboard and USB mouse. Both at the same time stop working. Also, the mouse freezes every 10 seconds for 1 second (so boring). When the mouse stops working there is still of the red laser that is below normal. I am confused with that. I have all the latest drivers.
    Thanks for the help.

    Sys Specs: Windows 7 pro 64-bit, Intel DP67BG, HyperX 6 GB DDR3-1600 (3x2Go), Intel Core i7 - 2600K 3.4 GHz S1155, WD Caviar Black 1 TB 7200 rpm 3.5, EVGA GeForce GTX 470.

    Hello

If you have a USB mouse wired and keyboard connected to your computer, and that they do not work properly, please check following things:

    1. Firstly, plug the USB into a different port on your computer. If they still do not work...

2 try them on another computer! and if the problem is still there, it would be easy for you to just replace. But is not likely to result in the mouse and the keyboard does not at the same time!

2 and if it's OK with another computer, which would be something wrong with your computer, and it could be from a hardware or software.

Just see how it is done up to now.
