• Power PSE user migration from PC to Mac

  I was a regular user of Adobe Photoshop Elements on Windows in versions more users.  I have a vast catalogue of 15 k photos organized with tagging complete sets, batteries and the version of the retouched photos.

  Can I synchronize my PSE catalog via iTunes for the iPhone/iPad?  It has worked on the Windows PC.  However, running the latest version of iTunes 11 and PSE11, I do not get an option to synchronize the pictures of PSE, only iPhoto or Aperture or records.

  You can migrate your catalog if you use PES 9 or greater. Perform a full backup on a removable drive using the command organize in windows, and then restore it to the mac. Point the restore to the file .tly, and not the folder enclosing.

  Interaction of the PSE with itunes is only for windows. For mac, the path is by iphoto, I'm afraid. You may be able to set photostream to see your default image file, even if - I've not tried it myself, but I think it works.

  Hi, I just moved Lightroom 5.7.1 my Windows 7 PC to MacBook Pro with the updated version of Yosemite. When I try and import an image whether RAW, DNG or JPEG I get the following message. "Could not copy a file at the location requested."

  Your destination folder (as specified in the Destination of Lightroom Import dialog box Panel) doesn't have the WRITE permission. Change your permissions.

  Your K of 27 photos of the disappeared are because as the path of the folder and the name on a MAC is different that there on the PC. Instructions to solve this are here: Adobe Lightroom - find folders and files moved or missing . In particular, see Figure 4 and the associated text.

  Also, just to be 100% clear, there is no important in this process. Import is 100% the wrong thing to do.

• Problems to access the Collections after the migration from PC to Mac

  I've migrated Lightroom CC from a PC to a Mac. Everything went very well (all images visible and changes, keywords, metadata, etc.

  However, my Collections did not make the trip! When I go to my list of collections (who did migrate) I have a series of vignettes showing that are empty except for an exclamation point and the name of the image file.

  I've renamed the initially imported Lrcat &, previews to turn them off and copied into the original Lrcat from my old PC.

  The Lightroom/Mac then becomes ignore the images that I had imported incorrectly allowed me to redo the link with the images. Relief soft, it worked.

  OK, so we bought a new time capsule recently and my family migrates slowly over Apple products.

  My question comes from having moved all our old saved files from various sources during the share of time capsule. Currently, the file system is FAT32 because that's what it was by default and I don't see an option to adjust it.

  Let me suggest that you create the folder in the Mac. then copy the files through him, to the windows machine.

  Apple uses file permissions, and permissions have become significantly more restrictive of the end. Windows seems to ignore... but you might need repair permissions until it works.

  NOTE... the appearance of the windows FAT32 is not real... It's because of the way windows reads the network of the TC function... the drive is not formatted FAT32 in the TC... It is HFS +, a Mac format... offered by SMB (windows network blocks) which windows reads with FAT32.

Last week I bit the bullet and bought myself a 27 iMac nine inches, which I immediately fell in love and I wanted to have the consciousness alone and registered for the software Lightroom official and licenses.

  Now since this is my first iMac and I had no experience with Apple in the past, I don't know how I can import the picture from my laptop on the iMac. I want to keep all the changes that I made to these images of course.

  You will need to move the catalog and preference files, but also your images. Strive to maintain a standard hierarchy that will make it easier to add a link to the pictures with the changes in the database.   New keys are not given. If the old key is used properly, it should re-enable either online or by phone. You will not get a new key.

  I've just updated to Lightroom CC 2015.6.

  The import dialogue never works. Just by clicking on the 'import' the Beachball causes to continue until finally Lightroom appears "Application is not responding.

  I have the same problem through two different Macs.

  I have recently updated my PC to a Mac osx 7.1.

  I have Lightroom 2.

  On my pc, I can pull up pictures out any of my SD cards (format: RAW). However, although I have installed LR2 on my mac it I cannot open one of them. It gives me the error, "the files seem to be East or damaged.

  They will be open on my PC and open also on my Mac in gimp. So I know that the files are not corrupted.

  How can I solve this problem?

  What model of camera? You use the same version of LR on the PC and the Mac? What exact version numbers? 2.0? 2.1? It goes up to 2.7.
