  Of course you can. It doesn't matter what previous version or platform, but as Bob said, the full version is usually cheaper if you shop around and do not buy directly from adobe.

  What operating system do you use?

  Restart your computer. Then, follow these steps:

  On Windows:

  1. go to the Task Manager.

  2. click on the processes tab.

  3. Select "show processes from all users". In the list of processes, look for ElementsAutoanalyzer & dynamiclinkmanager.

  4. Select the processes and terminate it.

  5 reinstall the applications.

  On a Mac:

  1. go to the activity monitor.

  2. Select the process and "show all processes" in the drop-down list at the top of the dialog box.

  Have you tried to reinstall items, if it ran on the 7 and 8, it should work very well. If that doesn't help, you could do a right click on the file .exe and if he thinks it is running about 7 or 8.

  Go to: Edit > preferences > general (menu Photoshop Elements on Mac)
