Migration Planning Application 11.1.2.1 to 11.1.2.2

Gurus

I'm trying to migrate a version 11.1.2.1 Hyperion Planning application version 11.1.2.2. Is it possible that I can use LCM? I tried to export the application to version 11.1.2.1 and its import in 11.1.2.2 but all forms are saved as invalid.

The application also uses business rules and LCM gave the following errors:

Error in migration artifact, "/ Global artifacts/Business rules / Global Variables/XXXXX".
Cannot process the artifact (XXXXXX). Type of artifact not taken in charge (Global Variable).

Given that Calc Manager is the only tool of support would this cause the problem with the migration process? If so, how can I migrate the application successfully.

I saw the option upgrade in the Administration of planning, but how is application to the situation.

Thanks in advance.

If you create an empty application, then stop planning and migrate the 11.1.2.1 relational database planning on top, update the SID if it isn't the user admin by default and different between the versions, start planning, you should then be able to upgrade by using the wizard.
It was just a quick overview, because the process is roughly the same as previous versions and it was taken over several times here.

See you soon

    Hello

We are migration planning EPMA from Dev to QA application. After you import the application, the application is shown as a UNICODE application in environmental assessments in QA.
Please let me know why this is happening and how to change it to the format NOT UNICODE.

    Version 11.1.2.1

    Thank you
    Nainitha

You will need to remove the app, and then update the parameter then recreate it again, I know it's possible to hack the table to update the setting but because the application is already created I'm not sure it would make much difference.

  • Planning application migration from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2008.

We have a DB SQL Server 2005 to 2008.

Customer is underway for DB Upgrade only and not upgrade the Hyperion applications.

    Hyp version: 11.1.2.1

Components: Planning Hyp, EN and related services, ODI.

    I intend to

1 put level SQL Server side by side and not place

2 migrate Legacy applications on new server

If someone has done this before faced any problem? I see no any problem which should appear as a result of migration from 2005 to 2008 Server, but I wanted to be clear about this. How to plan the application will manage the change in DB.

Is there a method / recommended for this migration?

    Thank you

    Anjum

SQL Server upgrade does not impact on Hyperion.

If in the case of practice on different servers, I mean 2005 server 2008 Server, we have to configure again.

  • Is it possible to migrate an application and drop one of the three types of plans?

Migrating applications is 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.2.300.  Try to migrate an application and a company wants to only 2 of the 3 types of regime to be brought back.  Is there a way to do this?  Or to remove or hide the type of 11.1.2.2.300 if all 3 are migrated on?

Here is what has been tried, but he cuased a problem in the DB:

    • Migrate an existing application that originally had 3 types of plan. Plan dropped type 1 and kept plan types 2 and 3

    • Created 2 types of plan when creating the application in 11.1.2.2

    • Initially built the contour using 11.1.1.3 LCM export dimensions and had to modify the XML to import. Edited plan 2 and made this plan type 1. Edited plan 3 and made this plan type 2. Had problems with the LCM/xml and finally finished by using the extractor contour and loading by using the outlineload utility. Dimensions are now based.

    • Initially, wrong Bishop Calc. To change the value of the hsp_systemcfg for the type of plan table = 2 instead of 3 as it was in the table.

    • Calc Mgr shows that type of plan 2 and no plan to type 1.

    Any ideas?

Probably the best way to rebuild the application and then reload the hierarchies or hack files XML of LCM, if 11.1.2.3 then you would be able to create/delete plan types.

  • How version 9.2.0 to 11.1.1.3 directly planning application migration

    Hi all

    Help, please.
Can be migrated from version 9.2.0 to 11.1.1.3 version directly from planning applications?

He has documentation that explains the process?

    Hi Pedro,

The fast way, assuming you are using classical planning in 11.1.1.3 Administration is to export the application schema and Essbase data & objects of the 9.2.0 environment and import into the new environment.

    Thank you

  • EPMA planning application migration: no synchronization with the provisioning of users

    Hi all
We are migrating Production applications to dev. We have a planning EPMA and Essbase application in both environments.
We migrated artifacts in the file system in PROD (Shared services, EPMA, planning, Essbase) and Reporting. We have copied and pasted into the folder what in DEV.
Then, we try to migrate objects in DEV file system applications. First of all we did successfully EPMA artifacts in the migration status report, and then we deployed the application in the planning without any error. (msg showing as synchronized deployment). • Migrate an application Hyperion 11.1.1.3 EPMA planning and Essbase 11.1.2.2

    Hi all

We have applications EPMA planning and Essbase in environment Hyperion 11.1.1.3 with all artifacts as Scripts, etc. reports for the file, business rules, rules.

Now, we want to migrate these applications to the new installed 11.1.2.2 environment.

Using LCM or don't we have another method to migrate these applications?

  • Options for the migration of 9.3 per 11.1.2.1 planning applications?

It seems that LCM is BI migration option + artifacts from 9.3 to 11, but I don't see any application planning in favor in LCM 9.3 - How did people approached application migration Planning from 9.3 to 11, in particular patterns of RDBMS?

Usually, import us the existing schema and then create app and a new data source.
Can migrate some app on planning for first time connection.
That notice, it would be better if app owner of the existing schema is default admin app.
After the migration if you cannot open an app session using default admin, try using updateuser.cmd to the Planning\bin directory.

  • Application Migration Planning

    Hello

I mentioned the previous post of migration Migration of Hyperion Planning Application
and come out with something associated with SID, if the owner of the application to the target application is different:
Go to the tables of database to the planning application and look at the HSP_USERS table, store the value of the SID user 50001
means that I should go to the schema of the target server and copy the SID against user 50001 for later use.
8 go in the HSP_USERS table and update the SID of the user 50001 id
means paste SID against 50001 target server that I copied in the previous step (after the replacement of the schema to the target server from a schema of the source) (scheme are similar to the source and target)

These steps are necessary, if the owner of the source/target application is not the default Administrator account.
Once you create your empty planning on the target application, go to the table and keep the SID.

After you migrate the schema, go and then paste the sid your stored above.

  • Migration of LCM - unable to see 'Planning Applications Dev' under 'Group App'

    -Situation-
    * We have hyperion 11.1.1.3.24
    * Objective i - trying to migrate files LCM of our DEV to UAT environment
    * DEV LDCS alone has enabled planning application ("budget"), little EN reports & other related artifacts.

    -This day-
    * Successfully exported these 4 (shared services, EPMA, Planning & EN) of our DEV
    * 2 first IMPORTED (Shared services, EPMA).
    * Although the migration status indicates failed in my case, noticed all of the artifacts have been migrated successfully. (As noticed claims reported in other posts as well.)

But I'm stuck on the third market, planning to import artifacts. Since then, I do not see 'Planning applications for Dev' under 'Group of Application' (in the shared services console).

What I would do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[what I create new Application planning under the same name 'Budget' in our UAT and start run import?]

Are you created the application group in shared services, it does not exist by default.
Your planning applications must have been against another group of applications, developing them until you plan to apps.
You can then create an application group and planning applications to move him.

If you are on version 11, you can use LCM.
If you use an earlier version 11, then you just need to do a search here for migration, that it has been repeated many times.

  • Migration planning in 11.1.2.1 application

    Hi all
I did not go to a total migration through LCM 11.1.2.1 of an application to another. After a little research I found a few steps to export the application, but I have not found how to import it. Perhaps I have missed.

    Steps I did:

1 > I have created a new empty application with the admin user.
2 > select artifact List (including security) of the source application.
    3 > set migration
4 > save the file with a name of CopyRev system
5 > save the file .xml on my desk
    6 > run the Migration

    and it was completed.

Now my question is how to import it to my destination application.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

First, if your environment for source and target are the same, then you will all users and groups of shared services, in this case simply at the disposal of users for this new application so that your security is migrated when you migrate the application source. If the surroundings are different, then you must migrate users and groups first and their disposal prior to importing the security using LCM.

To return to the import process the artifacts in the application target using LCM, you must place the file migrated in the @admin native Oracle/Middleware/epmsystem1 directory.
Console open SSP-> file system and you'll see your file under that name.
Select the file and you will see all of your exported artifacts. Select all if you want to complete the migration to the target.
Follow the steps, choose the application target to which you want to migrate and perform the migration.

Open the application and you will see that all your artifacts are migrating to the target.

If you encounter an error during migration, we will see in the migration report.

    Thank you

  • LCM for planning applications: is - this process all or nothing?

When I LCM some of my planning applications, my immigration status reports show "Failed" and I see errors.  In a scenario, there are users and security permissions for users who are no longer in the MSAD repository (terminated employees).  Does that mean that these users and ACL is "jumped" and everything else is good to go?  Or migration 'stops' at a time when there are enough errors determined at some (coonfigurable? threshold?)

    This is 11.1.2.3.500 btw.

    Thanks in advance,

    -Vince

The Migration status report should show what has been missing, the rest must have been imported.
