  I've migrated BI Publisher reports in 10G in the middle of 11 G environment. I installed both applications in local machine, to carry out this activity. Post, I moved a folder containing few reports (.xdo and .xdm) in OBIEE 11g environment installed in Linux environment.

  Report units are visible, but .xdo cannot be performed. I get the error on execution it below.

  4. go in BI Publisher 11 g-> Administration. Navigate to the directory of BI Publisher and point to the destination folder would be: / dest' and run 'Upload to the BI presentation catalog.

  5. now, all units are available in a shared folder with full rights for the user "weblogic.

  Depending on your access, you can either use LCM (if you have shared Services privileges), or if you have just the Admin/EN Developer workspace, you can use the export and import of the workspace.

  I have to work again on a former ramp driven by a core of teststand. to do this, I first need to copy all the data with another computer, just to see the source codes and .seq file, since I can't not work directly from the ramp

  It is not trivial to simply copy like this.  There is so much that goes into automation TestStand.  Consider the following, which form a TestStand system:

  • Code model/s process and support
  • File of the client's sequence and dependencies (screws, DLLs, assemblies, etc...)
  • Cfg files (settings of the station, stationglobals, search directories, report options, etc...)
  • User interface
  • Engines
  • Drivers
  • And much more

  Station globals are stored in the config directory.  Usually stored here: C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\TestStand 2010 SP1\Cfg on Windows 7.

  In addition to the configuration settings, the most important copy thing on would be the .seq file and all of its dependencies.  You will have to go through it, step by step to understand what all of those who are.  And then to top that off, you need to make sure that when you should I copy on they are accessible by the search directories (of if using absolute paths that they are exactly the same task).

  The blog article that you referenced, build a custom dashboard to summarize LogFilter alarms describes the difference between data-driven drag and drop dashboards and reports and dashboards WCF based queries and reports.

  The 'special report' you are trying to copy to an another FMS appears to be a drag and drop the report. This report has a number of data views with direct references to the data in your original FMS. None of these specific data elements will exist in your FMS target, so it is unlikely that your migrated report will have any content once you've imported it there.

  The blog post also describes the technique of export and importation of a module of dashboard from a FMS. The system works at the level of a module, so all the views, queries, converters, etc in the module will be included in the export. If you want to export a single view/report and not others in the same module, you need to create a new module, and then (deep) copy the target view/report of the original module in the new module before exporting the new module. The technique of export/import works with both 'system' and 'user' modules, but queries modules WCF-based 'system' are more suited to sharing across different FMS that modules the user with drag-and-drop views/reports with direct references.

  We are just moving our production test vfoglight solution & have you come across a bit of a weird one. We had a report / discovers that would list all virtual machines in our virtual Center and displays the custom attributes in a nice - good for the management report, form etc. However, we are moving to a new instance of virtual center & we have a test instance too - all are present in vfoglight, but our report draws only the custom of the original vcentre attributes. I'm not wcf script guru, but I gave it a good look & can't see a way forward - the hero of any script out there who could take a look and help out?
  Moreover, do you think I could put in a request for support for this one & get any joy?

  Hope someone can help - I'll post all the files needed etc.

  Thought of it at the end - on the second vcenter vmware foglight agent did not have the ability to collect custom attributes in the service.config file set to true. After true and restart the collector and the connector, everything was fine.

  our data warehouse must be migrated from Oracle 10 g 2 to 11 GR 2. In addition, the game will move from WE8ISO8859P1 to UTF8.

  to do a migration form a toshiba for a macbook pro (yes I know now, you can't do a migration of windows oem!)

  first attempt froze to 55%...power came out during the night and my pc restarted.

  second attempt is complete but there was an error at the end which was of the order of "vmware was not able to configure the migration of pc etc etc.

  so that one canceled and made 2 attempts ate 90 GB of space and I can't find the data from anywhere. Finder shows nothing changed in the last 2 days (started all this Friday morning) or a recent; the files are voluminous relevent. Nothing in the folder 'virtual machine', nor the record of support for the application.

  So whence the transferred data go when a migration fails?
