Mini 110 c no product key / reinstall XP

Hello

I had a real problem trying to find my netbook XP Home I went for a perfect thing resettlement there is no product key, I didn't was not a beneath the book net of course, I have details under the netbook can someone tell me how I'm going from here should I contact HP or microsoft

Spoiler (Highlight to read)

If the certificate of authenticity Microsoft Windows XP is not present on the netbook, then you must purchase a license from Microsoft key, if they are available.

On my HP mini 1000 - the license key is right above the HP Microsoft COA service tag.

If you can start Windows XP then there are still options to retrieve the license key. Download and use the free version of a utility called magic jelly bean to retrieve the license key.  Use it, and then note the key on paper.

If you are unable to start Windows XP and then refer to the first sentence of this post or install a version of Linux.

Best regards

ERICO

    Dell Windows 7 restore factory

I am probably stupid, but I just tried a factory restore on a Dell with Windows 7 laptop and only drive C - no D drive.

When you are prompted to make the backup of the DellSave, he registered only the C drive, so I clicked it and I continued.
I think I should have an external hard drive to store files on so that the restoration of the factory has done it's 'thing '.
He had completed the back upward (took forever) and then continued on with the factory restore on my clicking on the button 'next' to complete the process.

From now on, I have a checkbox to "format your partition" and a winding permanently thingie circle to "Reinstall your selected system backup" - which indicates that it works.
It has been at least 3 hours now and it is 1%. For a long time, this is 0%. Progress?

The only thing I can do now is to wait, I plan to let continue all night.
If it is always to 1 per cent in the AM - so what? Can I turn off the computer and start again, or my C drive is already formatted? If so, I'm toast!
If he could not run the factory restore the way I did it, he should not tell me and invite me to connect a separate drive for storage? I think that it would not allow me to do it wrong - wouldn't it?
Help! Please let me know what to do.

I think my daughter's cell phone is toast. She got a virus and nothing has worked. We tried a factory image recovery, but it turns out that she has drive C and no disc, no D drive, no backup copy.
It has Windows 7 family on a Dell laptop and its guarantee (as near as I can tell) has expired in May. I can get a copy of Windows 7 Pro (without product key) and I need to know if the product key on her laptop for Windows 7 Home works for Windows 7 Pro.
    Help, please!
    Thank you
    Bill

  • HP Mini 110-3600 sd screen problem

    Hi all

I have a problem with the screen of my HP Mini 110-3600 sd (product code LD078EA #ABH). Yesterday morning all of a sudden it became too small for the content, which means that the bottom was not visible (for example windows, I use windows 7 starter edition). To be clear, that the full screen doesn't work, if I maximize the view, it's actually too short. The night before, it was working fine and I did not install anything until I turned it off.

I tried to install the new drivers and using the different resolution but nothing seems to work. What I find strange is that when I look at op the specs of this laptop it says it works at 1024 x 600, but the pc is recommended to run in 1024 x 768 60 Hz. (The screen has never been replaced) The laptop seems to be confused about her size and position, if I chose a resolution '1024 x 600' and 'centre screen' it looks like the screen space, but he put a black in the top column, so that in the end, she always falls short. And, although I'm not sure about this, I thought the laptop used to support a higher resolution, before this problem (1360 x 768 perhaps?).

Below, I've included a story on the monitor (or pilot), if more info is needed I would bring him a pleasure (but I'm not experienced enough to know what you guys should be now).

  • My HP mini crashed today, I need to reinstall Windows 7 starter I have the product key

My HP mini is a black screen and I do a new reinstall top can get instructions step on a clean install to start windows 7. I have my product key and and the external dvd drive to boot windows with. Is anyway that I can get help with this without charge for customer support.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

If the recovery partition does not work, see the following resources:

  • I'd like to find my product key to reinstall real Windows XP to fix my computer after that it crashed?

I bought my HP Mini (1151nr) of Verizon Wireless with Windows XP - sp2 already installed on it. I don't have a cd to reinstall with the product key. And the sticker on the laptop from microsoft has a spot worn, where he deleted about three of the letters/numbers. I don't know what to do to fix it.

Contact HP for recovery disks & key

Manufacturers, in many cases, not provide recovery disks, this includes a hidden restore partition that you access to do the recovery disks

  • I need a product key of base of activation of vista that mine is worn out so bad, I can't read it can anyone help?

It's so nuts that I need an activation for windows vista basic product key, because mine is so worn out, I can't read and I already install from scratch with all my pc drivers what a PIN in the lacrosse can someone give me a key

    Hello

Sorry, but no product key can be given, or are available, free of charge.

And Microsoft sells more than Vista.

If your COA sticker is worn:

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

This may or may not work as you have reinstalled, and we do not know by what method:

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

The methods above resettlement generally do not require allows you to provide a product key during Installation, the recovery process uses the Installation product key factory to activate automatically during the resettlement process.

    See you soon.

  • Reinstalled Windows 7 but Windows office product key will not work

I kept getting a blue screen and computer kept stopping and restarting. Done all updates day and driver updates, but nothing has worked. So I decided to do the HP recovery and do a complete reinstall of Windows 7 and everything works well so far.

When I went to reactivate Windows Office Professional product key did not work. How can I get the key to work? Went on the Windows website and connected, but said it had no products for me. Can someone tell me another way? Not sure if I have a disk to reinstall.

    Jason

You will need to find the license activation key, otherwise you will not have the version of Microsoft Office Pro.

  • Product key required - had to do a reinstall

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 who would nt boot in windows / safe mode or anything like that - nothing could fix.

I had to wipe the hard drive and do a reinstall BUT my product key was used and the train to say that I only have 9 days left.

Is there a way I can get information on the original OEM key that came on the phone?

If you have installed the operating system using the Microsoft installation disc this key will not help you. This license/product key belongs to original recovery image, that you got with your laptop and it is not a universal key that you can use with each installation of the OS.

When you use the Microsoft installation disk and you do not have valid license key, you can buy online and activate pre-installed operating system.
