mini 210-1000: upgrade of processor and memory

I have an urgent need to upgrade the processor cpu and the memory of my daughter because I think it would be a cheaper option compared to buy a tablet at the moment. My main reason, in addition to money, to upgrade his notebook are:

~ very slow to load web pages

~ slow to open files

~ memory is only 1 GB

My daughter will soon be a teenager & I'm tired of sharing MY tablet. lol, but above all, there is nothing wrong w/the notebook to justify replacement.

The system components:

Intel Atom N450 @ 1.66 GHz 1.67 GHz

1 GB

32 bit OS

Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Hello

You are welcome. For children, a tablet now, looks like 'variegated' than a mini.

Happy new year.

  • HP mini 210-1000

I just bought a laptop hp mini 210-1000 and I have attached an external monitor, but I can't seem to find a way to extend my desktop to the secondary monitor. Is it possible to do it on this computer?

    Thank you!

If you want to upgrade to window 7 Home Premium that I would recommend to add 2GB Memory stick... You can without any problems... Just look for the PC2-6400 memory...

In addition, choose the 32-bit version of the operating system that the hardware does not support 4 GB memory...

  • HP Mini 210-1000 is very slow, even after disabling several programs.

I bought a HP Mini 210-1000 little more than one year. 1 GB of RAM. Win 7 Basic. Since only my son used and that occasionally, I never realized how incredibly slow, it was. Often, it takes 1 min for IE open a page. Even though I have broadband, I can't watch Netflix movies. I have disabled several programs in the menu of boot, run CCleaner, but it is still slow. When I check the Task Manager, it seems that 60-70 memory is used even when the CPU usage is 5%. I tried to tune up with HP Support Assistant, but when I click on update, it fails to update, fails to analyze or gather information. HP Support Assistant is only for products still under warranty? Can I maybe just uninstall and reinstall? Or am I left with no other choice than the upgrade of perhaps the memory? I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

He said no "reference" on the mini, only the number of 'product', that is: WH684UA #ABA. Thank you.

I was thinking about product and written a part.

The first time I asked the correct thing and, unfortunately, I made a mistake.

My advice? I would upgrade the RAM to 2 GB.

    PS.

Remember then it's the netbook, so it will be never powerful as laptop.

  • Mini210-1000 HP: HP Mini 210-1000 AHCI Support?

Title says it all, to a degree...

Nothing anywhere in the BIOS that indicates this thing supports AHCI, I so wanted to just take your brain...

If I install an SSD to replace the disk HARD in it now, will it work? Will I have AHCI/TRIM support?

Any contribution is appreciated. Thank you!

What HP model year cell phone is yours?   What is the model number on the black serial number on the bottom?

The one I have is quite old. I just checked and it's a HP mini 1000.

    @ChorusOfOne

    Do not leave immediately.

I just watched a little more features. The manual may very well be wrong.

The most recent mini 210-1000 with product number WA543UA #ABA ad product name HP Mini 210-1010NR has a disk hard Serial ATA II (SATA).  If it is indeed this than yours, it means that a SATA SSD would fit well and work.

See the first part of the next video. Of course, it looks like a SATA hard drive for me. Check out the connector.

  • How can I upgrade my PROCESSOR and RAM

Hello, I use a HP Compaq Presario CQ43. There with APU AMD E-450 with Radeon HD graphics card and 2.0 GB of RAM. My question is can I upgrade my processor and RAM 4 GB because I want to play games. If Ican please tell me how? Please help me.

    Your Service Manual:

    Manual

You already have the best processor that can fit on your motherboard which is an AMD version. Theoretically, you can go with a card mother Intel and processor, but that would cost a lot of money (more than a new laptop) and give only slightly better graphics. not yet for the games. To be explicit, the graphics 'card' are not a card, but a single chip directly soldered on the motherboard and cannot be removed, replaced, improved or anything of the sort.

The slightly good news is that you can install up to 8 GB of memory... is the DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM. That will boost the overall performance, but still not make a game by a long shot machine.

  • HP Mini 210-1000: Please help! Battery does not charge even if it's plugged

Hello! I'm writing this fear and despair because my HP Mini 210-1000 is defective and I'm working on my undergraduate thesis.

    The problem:

The battery says it is plugged and charge but after giving a few hours to recharge, it is still stuck at 65%. Another thing is that I must keep the trendy netbook so he can stay in power. He started last night when I was finishing a paper, then the laptop stops suddenly. When I restarted, I thought it worked well. Then things started acting weird after.

    I already tried things:

    -cold reset

-30 dry to hold the power button

-HP battery Test and turned out the battery be "good."

    Data sheet:

-HP 210-1000 (I got it for not more than 5 years already.) I just changed the battery cable last month. This is the first time, it acted weird)

-10 Windows (32 bits) | originally from Wndows 7 Starter

    -Intel Atom

    -CPU N450 @ 1.66 GHz 1.67 GHz

    -BIOS Configuration: F.04 - 12/30/2009

    -Product number: WD344EA #ABV

    -Serial number: CNF005CBGQ

    Please help me.

After five years of reliable use the battery is more capable of providing the power as it did once.

So, Yes, it seems that the tests failed.

In the wizard in the HP Support, there is usually a calibration option which restores the full charge, which is 100%, which is currently available.

If the battery has no real ability to the left, then it will be in fact a bit of a moot point.

  • 6 cells identical to 3 cells performing on HP Mini 210-1000

    Hi all

I'm on my father to the hospital. Since there is no extra plug for me to put on my netbook adapter, I need extra time on the battery. 3 cells using, my netbook lasts about 2 hours and a half.

So, I bought a 6 cells, it would double the time of hope.  Unfortunately, the length of time is near, if not exactly the same as a 3 cell.

Here are the details when you use the battery 3 cells:

    That's when using 6-cell battery

Note that both had full duration of 2 hours and 22 minutes, despite different value capability level and battery wear.

That worries me. I need more than total 4 hours to do my work/productivity then in a hospital.

    Someone at - it suggestions?

    I use a HP MINI 210-1000.

Thanks for getting back to me! I'm so sorry for your loss.

Do you have the chance to test the two batteries? or just one? It is unlikely that both batteries are bad. If both say 'unknown', try the suggestions in this thread DavidPK.

Let me know what you get results

  • The upgrade of processor and the graph of Compaq Presario cq42-203au

    Hi guys,.

I have a Compaq Presario CQ42-203AU with AMD processor and graphics. And what I want to ask is, can I upgrade the processor and graphics of my laptop? If it is possible, what is the maximum and graphic compatible processor for my laptop? I thank very you much for your help in advance.

    Hello Netbuckler,

I understand that you are interested in upgrading the processor and graphics card on your laptop, is that correct? I will try and provide you with information that needed to get there.

The processor can be improved in this particular notebook. If you go to page 91 in the maintenance manual , it will give you a list of processors and it will show you the steps to do it yourself. I don't know what your current status of security with this laptop, but if you are still covered the upgrade of the processor warranty this I just want you to be aware.

Now and then when you're dealing with the graphics card it is soldered to the motherboard if you will not be able to update. If you really want to improve the graphics, as you go through the motherboard. There is a list of those on page 81 in the owner's manual as well.

If I was helpful, or if you want to say thanks to me trying to help, click on the White Star under my name to give me congratulations. I really appreciate it.

Please answer as soon as possible.

    Thank you
