ThinkPad T410 without Fingerpring built-in player

I have a ThinkPad T410 without fingerprint reader. I would like to know if I could replace his glass with one who got a fingerprint reader built into this topic. It would support my ThinkPad?

Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

Welcome to the forum!

Yes. All you have to do is swap the current palmrest with one that has a fingerprint reader built-in.

  • ThinkPad T410 boots only if the power supply is plugged

    Hello

I have a really strange bug. My thinkpad T410 (2537-UQF) with an OCZ Vertex 3 SSD boots only if the power supply is connected. If I have a full battery, and try to boot without the power I get a blue screen after about 60 seconds on the screen where the windows logo appears. I have Windows 7 installed fresh a few days ago.

I think its possible, I've done a few failure with drivers. The power management ThinkPad always stops working after startup. So I deleted the program using the feature "msconfig".

I'm not really sure what I can do about it. Any idea?

Thanks for any answers in advance & regards

    Rain

    OK I solved the problem:

The workaround is to set to battery power settings in the BIOS to auto. If the power in the Bios settings are on maximum battery life, the system does not start if you use the SSD OCZ Vertex 3.

Hope this helps everyone who has the same problem. I need 4 days to understand this.

    Welcome to the forum!

The port is mini pci - e only, no mSata in this generation of ThinkPad support.

  • ThinkPad T410 Upgrade option

I start by saying that I love my thinkpad! There's just one thing I don't like abtou it and it is the plug there atm. This is the laptop I'm using right now:

    ThinkPad T410 2539 - Core i5 520 M/2.4 GHz - vPro - RAM 4 GB - 320 GB - DVD-brander - HD Graphics - Gigabit Ethernet - WLAN: 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 - TPM - vingerafdruklezer - 14.1 inches; breedbeeld TFT 1280 x 800 (WXGA)

The thing is, it's perfect for simple office tasks, but really miss me a grapich power when I go to work and on the road. So I was wondering, what options are there to upgrade the CPU/video card?

    pepio wrote:
OK, thanks for your response. I'm guessing there is nothing for me to do that so go get another laptop.

Well don't get me wrong the T410 is always a great computer and not this old, but seems useless to me and spend too much to upgrade a previous generation Thinkpad so all you will get is a graphics card that is a little better. Buy a new T420 will be still more expensive of course, but then you get a brand new model with all new features and HW.

  • ThinkPad T410

I anticipate get me the new ThinkPad T410, but I need to know one thing.

    The integrated video graphics card is the following;

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 5700MHD - AMT

What is the max resolution that can be set to when the laptop is connected to a 40 "LCD?

I see that the video options include 2 discrete graphics cards, but I really don't need them unless onboard video can't display the resolution I need.

the use of the integrated Intel GPU display port can support up to resolution WQXGA, which is 2560 x 1600.

  • From Firefox 26, MP3 on Windows XP opens in the browser with the built-in player. The user should be better informed.

It is only after a few hours of research I found the solution on this page [ http://kb.mozillazine.org/File_types_and_download_actions ] that specifies the action to correct the problem (change the value of media.directshow.enabled). This implies the use of: config.

Frankly I have better to do with my time than to make Firefox to continue to behave as before. Many people download mp3 podcasts, this new behavior is not helpful!

I think that (1) proposed by the built-in default player is not good (even if you are proud of it), you should offer it as an option in the tools > Options > Applications list.
I take the time to write this because I think FFX is a good product, but these changes without warning are likely to alienate loyal users, including me.

  • Device PCI T410 without driver

    Hello

I just did a clean install of Windows XP 32 bit on my T410 and after installing all the drivers from the Lenovo Web site, I find myself with a PCI device without driver. I get a pop up window, whenever I connect. The device id is 3B2F, which, according to pcidatabase.com is a 6 Port SATA AHCI Intel Mobile. I installed quick storage drivers and drivers from the chipset and can't find anything about this or else that seemed relevant in the list of drivers, so I'm stumped.

I was unable to install Daemon Tools Lite, and I think that this might be related. It fails when it tries to install the SCSI adapter. I believe that the PCI device was there before I tried to install Daemon Tools, and it comes back if I try to uninstall in Device Manager, so I don't think it's a remnant of the failure of Daemon Tools install.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?

    Thank you.

    Hi Jerome,

This device is the "Intel (r) 5 Series 6 Port SATA AHCI Controller' that the name should be in Device Manager.

This should be the correct driver of Lenovo:

    http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?sitestyle=Lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-74431

It should also work fine by downloading the Intel driver which is a newer version.

You said that you have installed Rapid Storage, but have you downloaded the driver from Lenovo and are sure that you have actually installed? If you download the driver of Lenovo using the link above and run the "6mim25ww.exe" file it will be unpacked to 'C:\DRIVERS\WIN\IRST', but it will NOT be installed. After uncompressed you can go into the Device Manager and double click on the device, then click on 'Update driver' and select 'Browse my computer... ". "and then type the path 'C:\DRIVERS\WIN\IRST '.

Another option would be to download the latest Intel's RST and simply run the installation so a little easier than the driver of Lenovo. If you got an SSD that trim the Intel driver support is a better option, because the driver of Lenovo doesn't support trim. The RST 9.6 or more recent support of trim. If you use a HARD disk, you must cut anyway.

  • All ThinkPad T410s come with a battery 6 cells coming out?

I remember reading somewhere that the battery 6 cells exceeds on the side of the T410s makes clumsy in appearance and handling.  Is this always true?  If so, is there something like a 4 cells which remains flush with the chassis?  I couldn't find this as an option when you set up online, nor is he is listed as an accessory available for the T410s.

s2kdriver80, I have a T400s, and six-cell battery is flush. Photographs that I saw, the T410s chassis is basically identical to the T400s, six-cell battery should also be built into the chassis. Cheers, RocketDude

  • Stops screen Thinkpad T410

Have noticed that my T410 started this thing where it stops at the Thinkpad screen and nowhere.

    Download for Windows at all.

Re-booting seems to fix the problem.

Using a wireless connection to the router.

Everything else on the T410 is stock such as pronounced.

    No plug-in devices.

  • boot thinkpad t61 without keyboard

I have the following problem with my Thinkpad T61.

Every few minutes the computer begins to behave as if you press a few keys on the keyboard. The keys are not physically stuck, the system behaves just as if they were. Sometimes happens for no apparent reason, but I can still get there by pressing any kye on the bottom right of the keyboard.

I concluded that the keyboard is faulty and ordered a new.

In the meantime, I am using my laptop with an external (USB) keyboard. This does not solve the problem completely, b/c the laptop still allows the internal key, so always it messes up too frequently. I tried to disable the keyboard, but does not have Device Manager to enable me to do. I thought to remove the keyboard, but then I don't have a power button!

Does anyone have an idea for me to know how to use my laptop until the replacement keyboard arrives?

Is it possible to start the computer without keyboard connected?

If you have the wake on lan feature enabled from the bios, then you may be able to get the machine so that it starts by sending a magic packet from another computer on the network.

Other than that you need a dock, which have an external switch.
