  You have probably not need software, but you need a TV with VGA port , otherwise it will cost you much more to connect. You machine has only a single VGA port as shown:

  You also need a cable for sound and port #7 above connects the mini to a line-in on your TV.

  To be honest: I would NOT bother to connect a mini to a TV. Netbooks are not computers/toys is why they die now.

• HP Mini 210 Windows 7 32 bit 4313 Broadcom wireless problem, perhaps.

  I got my mini MP 210 with XP a few days ago House.  I've upgraded to WIndows 7 yesterday.  After installing, everything was humming very well, even the wireless.  I thought it's too good to be true.  Then Windows installed 21 updates.  After the updates that my wireless has been sprayed.  Same problems everyone else has documented ihere.  I think that there is something in these updates in conflict with the driver Broadcom 4313.

  To make a long story short, I found the previous version of the hp/broadcom driver.  The URL is:

  Right-click on the computer click Properties-, and then click Device Manager.

  Right-click on Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n (in network adapters), and then click on uninstall.  Check box to remove the driver for this device.  You should be uninstall driver version 5.60.350.6 dated dated 22/03/10

  Reboot, and then install the driver from the URL above.  This is the version 5.60.18.41dated 10/23/09.

  So far, I'm 2 for 2 with my wireless works now.

  My guess is that HP will have to come out with a new driver to fix this new conflict with WIn7.

  The old version of the Broadcom wireless driver has not fixed the problem.  WiFi was always intermittent.  Sometimes she would see my wireless home and sometimes she would bring free wireless.  I tried various things throughout the weekend.

  Last night I went to windows update and it says there are two updates to install.  One of them was

  Microsoft Update driver for Realtek RTL8102E/RTL8103E Family PCI - E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20)

  Well after I did this update as all my problems wireless went.  Maybe the Realtek driver has demolished the Broadcom wireless.  I think that HP knew there was a problem and got Microsoft to send the update to fix.it.  Just my guess.

• DVD to Mini 1000 Mi with Ubuntu came with the Nero Vista/XP software

  My HP DVD arrived before my Mini 1000 Mi, so I plugged the DVD for my Asus 901 with Hardy Heron and no windows. The appearance of CD to read the works of DVD. However, the software that comes with the DVD specifies Vista and other recent Microsoft OSs. Look back to order the Mini 1000 Mi, I said 2 gig of ram, and a few screens later, was offered and chose the DVD burner.  Having already specified the version of Ubuntu Mini 1000, I assumed that the DVD would be fully functional with Ubuntu and the Ubuntu Mini 1000 Mi. In the meantime, I'm puzzled why HP embarquerions a DVD of Vista-software for Ubuntu Mini 1000 Mi.  ???  A web search shows that Nero AG (manufacturer of software for the DVD) also made versions of Linux. The homesick DVD (IE Vista) was delivered to me?  HP expects that some people would be has buy a Ubuntu Mini 1000 Mi and (b) buy the DVD sale-bundled assuming that it should be bundled with the Linux software?  Comments and suggestions appreciated.

  Thnx for the reply. I continued questions websearch DVD that they concern the HP Mini 1000 Mi and Linux (Ubuntu).   I have learned that my Asus 901 under Hardy Heron and no windows has Brasero, a standard CD/DVD muli-faceted program in Hardy Heron. I found K3b via Synaptic, but you have not added to K3b for my Asus 901. When my HP Mini 1000 Mi (Ubuntu) happens, I'll see if she Brasero or K3b.

  My intuition came to be that HP sends a generic HP DVD which will almost always include the CD Nero 7 Essentials for Vista/XP etc. Since I have two XP machines that I hardly use now that I have a Linux (and soon another), I'm using the Nero CD to use the external with the XP machines if ever needed DVD gadget.

• desktop to go - not suitable for my use of HP Mini 1000 Mi

  Not tapping on my Asus 901 Hardy Heron no xp. My Mini 1000 Mi arrived an hour ago. Update Manager is running. I put e-mail and installed Firefox Add-ons that I prefer. By doing these simple tasks, I noticed that the MIE Office will seriously interfere with my use of the Mini 1000 Mi. I want to use a desktop Ubuntu Hardy Heron based due to how they place on my desk, programs and files, I use every day. However, MIE office moves from one to the other more difficult for me, more laborious. I'm probably as a user may be that HP designers had in mind when you profile the customer waited. Anyway, before you start using my Mini for tasks related to work, so before entering crucial data installed, I'll try to find my way to a more traditional Ubuntu desktop. I searched this compartment of the forums and didn't find a similar lament. My hunch is that other users of Mini 1000 Mi (Ubuntu) want to escape at the interface of the BREAD, then perhaps that HP will soon offer a non-MIE as a standard option interface. Meanwhile, my research to find out how to have a traditional Ubuntu desktop should start. Suggestions of appropriate links would be appreciated.

  A USB key loaded with wiped the HP "Ubuntu" Hardy Heron and Hardy Heron 8.04 has been installed. Initially, wifi is not working, so I connected via ethernet, which worked well. Then update ~ 250 packages have been downloaded and installed. WiFi still did not work, so Admin > system > network leads to tweaking of WPA and a hexagon of 64-bit something or other. All of a sudden, the different sources of wifi (passworded and open) being found and reported by my Mini 1000 Mi now running Ubuntu Hardy Heron. Wireless is followed correctly. Mail has been sent and received. I loaded more recent Flash Player and the latest in Adobe Reader and have the tools I need and now the office... Also, the sound works by the speaker and via the combined. Overall, do these tasks took about 4 hours.

  We have a mac mini which does not accept my credentials via screen sharing. I activated the remote access connection & remote management and set the password for VNC ("viewers VNC may control screen with password") to the same as my username "geertl".

  When I try to connect from another mac mini or an Ubuntu (with customer Remmina) system I always get the following error (system.log):

  7 June 18:01:01 screensharingd mac [2277]: authentication: FAILED: username: geertl: Viewer address: x.x.x.x: Type: DH

  VNC access is fine (with for example of TightVNC viewer):

  In this window VNC then enter my password and login without problem. SSH also works without problem from a Linux machine:

  It's just the screensharing who does not accept my password and/or username. Mac has been restarted, all reconfigured screensharing two through GUI as CLI, 'Account name' and 'Real name' were aligned and put different, none of them work. The firewall is disabled.

  We have another mac that is configured in the same way (same user name, same network,...) where the screen sharing works fine.

  I had the same problem recently following a power failure.

  What I did to recover was to ensure that my Mac Mini was up and running - visible in the side bar of the finder.

  Then power rolled (stop) OSX on iMac and rebooted.

  Connections has then worked as expected.

  I would add, that my iMac and Mac Mini are running 10.11.5; and Yes, the problem only screen sharing.

  I just acquired an HP Mini Netbook 210-1100 a friend who uses it is no longer.  I'm working on my friend used cleaning programs that I use so I can gain a speed (it's very slow).  After removing the programs, I was unable to get Chrome to search the Internet.  When I click on the Chrome icon, a Web site "AVG search" appears.  I think it's a security thing.  I'm not sure.  Can someone help me get the ordinary Chrome browser?  In addition, I would like advice on how to do my job of Netbook bit better/faster.  It was the start of Windows 7 software.  Thanks in advance.

  Welcome to HP forum. Wow lucky allows you to get a free computer. Windows 7 is fast in any way. You work a lot at the time. AVG is bad malware that most likely it was loaded down with the Google Crome browser. I recommend that you do not use this browser in any way. For this strange AVG Software / maleware is difficult to find the software it is attached (Hiden in the software) to all programs and features and delete everything strange software that is listed and you not reconise it. It will be difficult for you because you were not ouanoufi owner, so consider carefully the dates. Most of the software even prestalled time date. You do not want to delete these. I wish there was software that would eliminate this real software malware but there is not. Must be done manually. I just hope it's labled AVG toolbar.

  As many speed up your computer which is no question there are a lot of tasks involved but first of all, you have to find this malware program and delete it. Once you make that open HP Support Assistant, and then click maintenance, and then select PC tune up goto settings (it will be a washer looking for icon), click on it and check all the boxes listed. Click on save the output, it and reopen it back this time around instead of click once again simply click on run PC tune up now the settings (yellow icon on the left) run it.

  The next step is to goto that search box of all programs. Type in the configuration system open it, click the Startup tab. You want to check mark your Anti virus software you printer (HP Digital Im... is for HP printers), Abobe Reader, Real Player (if it is installed), I have Itunes and uncheck Sarfri so that's pushing Apple and Itunes check everything.

  Now the service is not so easy. I'll be posting screen shots of what is suppose to be activate and manually the settings later. I have to use my HP Pavilion DV7t-7000CTO for this time I am on my HP Touchsmart 600-1050 responding right now.  There are many things to be switched from manual beginning especially with the HP software. Services is all your history progams running in the background witch slows down your computer as well. I will be back tonight and post. All three of my computers are fast, including Sony VGC-TL20 Windows Vista. Everything starts in less then 30 seconds and fully operational. frrw
