Miniplayer WMP toolbar missing in the taskbar.

I tried, commands regsvr32 and wmpband.dll already but not useful.

There is no wmp toolbar in my taskbar, I use xp professional.

Thank you.

Easy solution!  With the right button of the taskbar, choose Toolbars, click on Windows Media Player to select.

It should work for you, otherwise you may need to update Windows Media Player to the latest version, then try the above.  Also, remember that WMP and the mini version are two different programs, as well.

  • Language bar missing from the taskbar

My tongue is MIA. I have at least 5 languages installed and I followed all the directions and I checked the forums, but it is still missing! I find it very frustrating because I want to type in Japanese, and Farsi, and I need the toolbar to do this.

    This is the standard procedure:

If the language bar is not listed in the menu toolbars, you do not have many input languages installed on your computer. You must add other languages using region and language in Control Panel.

Follow the steps mentioned below to add an input language:

    1. open region and language by clicking on the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking clock, language, and region, click the region and language.
    2. click on the keyboards and languages tab and then click on change keyboards.
    3. under installed services, click Add.
    4. double-click on the language that you want to add, double-click keyboard, select the text services options you want to add and then click OK.

Q: I have added several languages (British English, simplified Chinese, Japanese), language bar still did not appear on the taskbar

If you don't see the language bar, right-click the taskbar, point to toolbars, and then click Language bar. For more information about the language bar, see the article below for more information:

Q: someone else has solved this problem by changing the settings for the language of 'hidden' bar "anchorage in the taskbar. Mine has never hidden, but I've changed and changed back--nothing happened! In fact, I know more actually never saw the language bar! Someone please help!

    Try the following:
    -Open the control panel
-Go to regional and Language Options
-Open the languages tab, click Details
-Go to advanced, make sure that the 2 boxes are unchecked (uncheck them if they are selected).
-Open the settings tab and click on the language bar
-Check the box: show the language bar on the desktop
    -Confirm with OK.

    2: -.
The language bar appears only if the profiles are two or several keyboard installed

To install a different keyboard layout, is in

"Control Panel" > "Regional and Language Options" then in the "Languages" tab, then click on "Details".

You can click on 'Add' and select a profile keyboard, one, for example "French (Belgium)" or 'French (Canada)' and then click 'Apply' and the language bar is displayed next to your clock.

Otherwise, if you use a keyboard layout, the language bar disappears and is only used to change the layout of the keyboard.

    3: -.
To display the language bar (using Classic view in Control Panel):

    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click regional and
    Language options.
    2. in the tab, under text services and input languages, click
    Details.
    3. under preferences, click Language bar.
    4. Select the show the language bar on the desktop check box.

  • Program volume control missing from the taskbar.

MY VOLUMN CONTROL ICON IS MISSING FROM THE TOOLBAR. I TRIED TO CHECK THE BOX IN THE CONTROL PANEL, BUT IT'S ME GIVES AN ERROR MESSAGE "YOUR VOLUME CONTROL PROGRAM IS NOT INSTALLED" I FIXED USING XP DISCS, BUT IT IS NOT YET HERE. THIS IS PART OF THE OPERATING SYSTEM. I HAD ALSO LOST MY CALCULATOR AND GAMES. I HAVE RE-INSTALLED CALCULATOR AND ACCESSORIES SINCE THE ORIGINAL DISC GAMES ARE BACK BUT STILL NO VOLUMN CONTROL.  ANYONE KNOW WHAT THEN?

The sndvol32.exe file is one of 3498 files that are monitored by the Windows File Protection System (if it works).

Assuming that your volume control was previously working and you have uninstalled not really things...

Even if you manually delete c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe, Windows File Protection should quickly and silently substitute a backup copy and put a message similar to the following in the XP system event log:

    Event type: Information

    Event source: Windows File Protection

    Date: 16/06/2010

    Time: 11:57:49

    Description:

File replacement was attempted on the protected system file c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe. This file was restored to the original version to maintain system stability. The file version of the system file is 5.1.2600.0.

See the date and time of this event?  I just deleted my file sndvol32.exe moments, and it is replaced almost instantly (no necessary CD in XP), so so he could go "missing" in the c:\windows\system32 folder and it must be replaced would require an effort unless something is wrong (which it probably is).  You can only delete even on purpose.

Calc.exe is similarly - it requires some effort or other malfunction so he could come in fact really missing which means that something is not somewhere - if it worked before.

Why don't search you your system for the file and see if it is in c:\windows\system32 or not.  If it's not and it worked before, you have another problem or something is wrong.

Before you try to replace the file that should never be missed in the first place, you must first of all decent scanner for malware (since this problem with the sound control panel is such a common condition of malware),then when the scans are complete and clean, difficulty of problems.

Do a few scans for malware, then when it's over difficult problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs at:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
  • A toolbar disappears from the taskbar. (Quick Launch toolbar)

In windows 7 Home Edition premium, I have a frustrating bug. I tried to use the functionality of the toolbar to add to the taskbar and by doing so the addition of a quick launch Search menu that him. Sticky icons do not have a solution for me, so I need a quick launch as a toolbar to work.

Do work was pretty easy, I just added the folder used for the quick launch shortcuts, I wanted to use. My problem is that every once in a while, when I turn on the computer, or when I restart it or even after disconnection and return newspaper, the toolbar, I added disappeared completely.

Solutions I tried to solve this problem:

    (1) setting the registry values for windows save my settings at each reboot of the/log - off /sleep/shut-down etc.

    (2) save the theme after I have reset the toolbar and use it as my default.

(3), to try to create a new user profile and move everything that I need to work on this new username and you try to install the Quick Launch toolbar again.

    (4) lock the taskbar after the addition of the Quick Launch toolbar.

    (5) remove the toolbars that could be clashes with the quick as the language bar launch (although I greatly need it for my work).

None of these attempts at fixing worked , restart every second or almost everytime I sit down to work on my computer the same thing happens. Quick Launch disappears.

W7 dear experts, I'm a fan of windows 7 and I like much more than XP or Vista, but two of them cost me much less expensive and had a simple feature to do me my job efficiently. the Quick Launch bar. I can't have 40 icons spread allover deliver to my office, so it's a very frustrating for me. Help, please.

Oh and a friend of mine half jokingly suggested this could be a feature to discourage people from using a win7 Quick Launch toolbar, if it is the case let me know as soon as POSSIBLE so that I can go back to XP before I lose more time on this issue.

Waiting for good news :) Philip.

  • Internet Explorer 9, missing from the taskbar

    original title: Internet Explorer 9

I did a 'cable easy transfer' Windows XP to Win 7 to transfer data from my winXP on my win 7.  A run, clean, no problem, did a reboot following the instructions.  On the Win7 machine IE9 icon on the taskbar background was no longer there.   I added it back by pinning it but there now is more different links I had the installer on the taskbar above IE9 as google mail and my bookmarks, etc..  IE9 icon on the taskbar background always came when I started my PC.  Can someone help me please.

    Hi FranTaranto,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

If I understand what explore you face the issue with the Internet icon in the taskbar background always come when you started the computer.

    Method 1:

I suggest you perform the clean boot and check.

Place the computer in a clean boot state, then check if it helps. You can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow step 3 in the article to start on normal startup.

    Method 2:

Check if bookmarks are available. Access the C:\Users\\Favorites\ location and check if you have the available bookmarks. As a general rule, all bookmarks who check us in Internet Explorer will be saved in C:\Users\\Favorites\ location.

Toolbars could sometimes be hidden. Give to this article:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/show-or-hide-the-Favorites-bar-in-Internet-Explorer

    Method 3:

I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: During the scan of the hard drive if bad sectors are found, the scanner tries to repair this sector, all available on which data may be lost.

    Hello

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/319095

  • My volume control is missing from the taskbar.

Even if I had the volume control on the taskbar before, I get the message under sound & audio in the control panel volume control has not been installed and that I should go to add/remove program to install. How do I do that?

Do you mean you see a message like this:

Windows cannot display the control of volume on the taskbar because the Volume control program has not been installed. To install it use Add/Remove programs in Control Panel.

This means that your system is currently or has been infected with malicious software and your antivirus/antimalware unspecified program quarantined (actually deleted) the following file (assuming that XP is installed on your C drive):

    c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe

That part is usually easy to solve if by simply replacing the file and replace the file will do nothing to relieve your system of malware infections, but we don't know anything about your system.

I'll take a guess and think that you are running a version of XP with Service Pack 3 and you have no genuine XP bootable installation CD.

I downloaded a copy of the file for XP Service Pack 3 on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these two folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    c:\Windows\System32
c:\Windows\System32\dllcache (this is where XP keeps backups of important files).

Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing files.

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:

    http://CID-6a7e789cab1d6f39.SkyDrive.live.com/redir.aspx?RESID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311

When you see the files available for download, you will not see the extension of file (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, etc), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

You have to put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.

That may not solve all your problems, but at least you will be spending this part and we can then fix the rest.

I hope you're curious to know how it happened, so answer these questions the best you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

Finally, no matter what you use for malware protection, I would follow with this:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
Restart your computer and solve the outstanding issues.
