  • Satellite A100: some files are missing when copying DVD on the desktop

    Hello

Suppose I have 1000 files on a DVD.
I drag all these files in the desktop, all of a sudden I see this is 920 files.
    If some files are missing.

    What this may be?
There are no errors. I don't think that something is wrong.
I initially thought maybe hidden files are counted in the DVD, but not on the desktop?
    Maybe something on the desktop?

Anyone have any ideas? I tried to put it on 'To see the hidden files' - it's a Toshiba A100.

I just ran a scan antivirus on this file and it let's say 1500 files analyzed.
Haha. Antivirus but probably scanned all etc. desktop.ini and Thumbs.db.
.. And maybe Windows Vista now have those when you want to display the number of files?

  • CD/DVD drivers are missing and my system is not able to detect the dvd drive.

    Hello

1st reboot and watch again in Device Manager:

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

  • DVD ROM drive missing from the Explorer

I installed nero burning rom on vista and then the dvd rom drive disappeared from the Explorer.  When I went into the Device Manager and checked my dvd rom for the solution properties, it says that the driver could not load and that Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19). How can I recover from this issue now? I don't want to reinstall vista or uninstall nero. But I want that this CD-ROM drive back in the Solution Explorer. What can I do or how I should do? I need a step by step procedure that can solve this problem.

    Try running the Fixit:

You can also follow the instructions under "fix it myself", Windows 7 from Windows Vista.

Important: The instructions, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. I know for sure that he must be installed, but somehow he was completely missed in the original installation (original image). In the specs, it is however, manual installation fails if the file is downloaded to the laptop HP support site. I contacted HP support on the chat line in the United States, but they failed to help out me. Any ideas? for a multimedia laptop can have no multimedia suite is strange. In any case the HP USA support confirms that the suite Cyberlink DVD should be pre-installed on dv7-6150eb. What should I do?

  • How to recover the DVD drive after Windows XP Service Pack 1 upgrade on protected M200

I lost my DVD Multi writer after update WInXP SP1 on my M200 Tablet of protégé. Restarting ElbyCheck reported a conflict with v3.00189 drag ' n Drop. I chose (foolishly) to solve it.

The situation is pretty much as described in FAQ ref: TRO0000001bf9 (http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/faq.jsp?service=EU&FID=TRO0000001bf9

Is it possible to reinstall the drivers and get the DVD without having to completely restore the tablet at its factory image?

The good news is that the DVD works - it properly allows the Recovery DVD-Rom Toshiba to initialize. The DVD is mounted in the docking station for M200 Tablet and I don't think that there is another way to connect to the tablet.

Windows XP Device Manager reports a problem with the Mat * a DVD-Ram UJ-810 USB device: "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. "The driver is maybe corrupted or missing (code 39). However, uninstall or reinstall drivers does not help because Windows XP shows that the current drivers are installed. With SP1, there is also no earlier driver to roll-back to...

Is there a way to get the right drivers reloaded?

    Any help is very appreciated!

  • Laptop HP G60t-500 - cannot find the DVD burner driver

    Hello

I upgraded my laptop G60t-500 for Windows 8.  I had to reinstall some of the drivers in compatibility mode and overall, it works ok (thumping audio does not work, but I get audio with USB speakers) However, I just noticed that the DVD RW drive does not.  In Device Manager, the hp DVDRAM GT20L reports the following error message:

Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

    {Unable to load device driver}
HS device driver could not be loaded.
    Error status is 0 x %x

I was looking on the site of HP support pilot for the original drivers for the DVD RW drive but can't seem to find them.  I found the HP DVD Play software and I was wondering if it needs to be reinstalled.  Or I have to look elsewhere for the device driver?  Or should I uninstall and leave the machine to find the driver.

As a record, when I right click on the device in Device Manager and select "Update driver software", select the option to let the computer find the right driver, he again reports the correct driver is installed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Thank you, Vidya.  I had to reboot and now my machine 'sees' the DVD player and it's working (I tested it using a DVD for playback and serious files).
