  • When registering for the web in cs5, I saved from slices. How can I change this preset?

Since I started using photoshop cs5, whenever I have save for web, I get registered slices, which is annoying in this regard is the fact that instead of getting the images or slices in this case, saved in the folder that I selected, it will automatically create a folder of images and then I have to go on the record and rearange images again It's really a lot of time.

Is there a way to avoid it, so when I select the slices I want to save, they will go directly to the folder I want instead of having an extra folder created within my file...

    Thank you

In the save for web dialog under output settings > saving files, uncheck the box

  • Illustrator adds extra white space when registering for the web

    Hi all

I hope someone can help me with this.

I did not have this problem before, but I created a graph on which you wish to export to the web as a gif, but when I go to save for web in Illustrator CS3 adds about one pixel transparent/white space around the edges left and at the bottom of my chart (even though the real chart fills the space of work completely.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I would be very grateful if someone can help me with this or have any suggestions.

    Bravo guys,.

    Karl.

    Hi Karl!

Don't forget to uncheck the "Clip for work plan" under "save for web" > tab "image size." Also, make sure that no objects hidden/semitranseparent/pixels or unwanted empty text boxes are in your illustration. You can also crop the pixelrow in Photoshop or try to turn a Matte (no) in 'save for web' gif settings. Hope this helps

  • Illustrator in place when registering for the web

    Hi all

Updated my Illustrator the other day and now when I do a file > > save for web, rather than save the art box only - illustrator is the addition of white all around the size of the box art?

As Jacob said, simply select the clip to the artboard option (highlighted in red)...

  • Can Mac UI/dialog default to REPLACE when registering for the web?

It happens every time. I make web models and save for web with Illustrator - I have to overwrite the file even many times - as much as I have a jpg in Photoshop so I can get an overview of IOS-> preview from Adobe.

So-> save-> save for Web with hotkey-> INPUT-> the default highlight here is save-> ENTER-> .jpg already exists replace? -> this dialog always CANCEL default--> so then have to take hands on keyboard and mouse and click on replace-> there is not even a way to tab for me! So when you have to repeat this process several times it drives me crazy. Just press the shortcut keys and power boom hit enter 3 x.

Not sure you can change the default value, I suspect that it is a feature of Mac OS.

However, as you already use shortcuts:

    • When the dialog box replace (with the default value Cancel) appears, press command-R.
  • Strange problems when registering for the web and devices.

Im a user interface designer and spend a lot of time working with illustrator and photohop. When I draw I normally create vector mockps of my work and then export the slices using work plans and save for web and devices. Yesterday Illustrator began to have problems to export files. The files look good on my computer, seen with preview mode of pixel, but when I export they look really bad. Here is an example:

This is a screenshot of part of a mobile app im working on 100% and 200%

    Screen Shot 2011-09-30 at 8.22.10 AM.png

    Screen Shot 2011-09-30 at 8.22.21 AM.png

This is the same area when exported using 'save for web and devices' at 100% and 200%:

    Screen Shot 2011-09-30 at 8.21.30 AM.png

    Screen Shot 2011-09-30 at 8.21.10 AM.png

as you can see there is a dramatic loss of quality. the icons look almost like a low color gif...

    Here's what I've tried:

I tried to change the settings of the exporter. I used to use png 24 but I tried all the different settings and they all the same thing. the only one who seems to look ok are swf and svg.

I copied my files on photoshop and exported from there. that works very well, but it's a pain.

    any help would be great.

    Hi Timo,

Thank you for reporting this issue.

You can check that you are using "file > export > save for Web (inheritance)?

I don't see the problem with "file > export > export under".

  • Just upgraded to CS3 to CC.  My file sizes when registering for the web (.png) are growing exponentially.  Why?

I have a small graphic in .psd I want to add a little more attention by adding a line to a part of the text.  After completing the editing and saving as a .png (normal for me), the file size has increased by a factor of ten.  I watched the recording settings and noticed that I had not checked compression.  Saved again, and it was still twice the size, 50 KB compared to the 27 KB.  I then returned to Photoshop CS3 and made the same exact changes, saved the file as a .png and it increased only by 3 KB.  I don't want my web graphics to develop there as much as it will slow down the experience especially on small devices.  What has changed?

Have you tried file > save for Web and define the metadata None?

  • Photoshop CS3 crashing when registering for the Web and devices

I have a problem with Photoshop CS3 crashing whenever I use the option "Save for Web & Devices". It allows me to open the dialog box and set up my file, but as soon as I clicked on save, it crashes. If anyone else has had this problem and if so, how solve it?

Then manually delete the prefs by reading this:

    Hi badasshe,

Please reset the Photoshop preferences and then try.

    Steps to follow:

To re-create the Photoshop preferences files, start the application while pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or command + Option + shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop settings file?"

Reference: preference file works, names, places | Photoshop CS5

Let us know if it helps.

  • size of files when saving for the web

'Save for web' sometimes export icon to very small size with size huge file (500Ko), when I take the same image and re - record using "Save for web", I get the small file (1 or 2 KB)

    Why does this happen?

This happens because Photoshop is save the metadata in your PSD and JPG files. You can see that from Photoshop in file Info under the file menu, and then on the tab of raw data you will be able to see usually several lines of metadata information, sometimes thousands, and if you did a lot of manipulations on the file that can add literally MBs to the size of the file. Save for the Web and export as you can delete metadata. Personally, I find it a nuisance more than a useful feature tends to remove metadata from Lightroom, there is a plugin that allows you to select what you want to keep and what to throw away.

    Hope that helps

  • What is the best way to keep the high resolution when recording "for the web".

the files that I save to the web so I can get them in jpg (or gif) are coming very pixelated.  That's when I print the image.

What is the best way to save for the web, an image and keep the good resolution.

using a business card template.  template Avery will allow me to attach images I want to project.  to do this...  I 'get file computer' and it deletes the image in but real little... then you are supposed to expand on your work as you want.  Well, when I enlarge this image file, it gets pixelated bad.  I think it's the way that I am saving it.  I do not adjust anything when I save.  Maybe I should.  This is where I need advice.

That's what avery model notes on the images, I am allowed to use - when downloading the image, the maximum allowed size is 4 MB.  You can download the JPG and PNG RGB or CMYK images.  so when you recommend things, can you please take this into account

    Thanks for oyur times.

    Aida,.

When you register with the default template using save for web, it's usually a setting very low.

While in the registration window, you can set the size in pixels of the image you want with the quality and the resolution too.

Refer to video tv.adobe.com save for web or Adobe Help file for detailed instructions.

  • Warning of truncation of file name when saving for the Web (browsers for the Macintosh?) (CS2)

Image (line drawing). Save for Web (* gif). Receive after WARNING:

"Some names of the files being recorded will be truncated to 31 characters for compatibility with Macintosh browsers. To change your file name compatibility options, click on the optimization pop-up menu, choose the output settings and select saving files. »

I couldn't find the optimization pop-up menu. Therefore, I did not this step.

After register, I simply went to the folder appropriate and changed the file name to what I originally wanted (i.e., mainly correcting truncation).

Big problem or not? Everything will be OK?

    Thanks in advance. A novice.

Probably safely, you can disable this Macintosh compatibility setting now.

It's a little difficult to find these parameters...  Here's how.

First of all, in the save for Web dialog box, tap the small icon at the top right and choose Edit output settings.

Change the files record selector, and then look for the settings you want to change as shown here:

I captured the foregoing PS cs6, but I think they are much the same.

  • How to get a GIF to loop PE11 with MAC 10.6.8? 480 x 320 x 72 pix/in. layers saved for the web, see animate, listen to excerpts times very well but the saved file is not

can't understand why the gif file loop. Implemented 480x320pixels of photo frames 5 x 72pix / in in PE11, creating a layer for each. Each visible layer. Registered for the web. Checked to animate. The preview plays very well. But when I save the file and then click on the saved file to play, he re - opens the layers instead of playing the loop. The only registration option that appears is "IMAGES ONLY".

Using photoshop elements on MAC 10.6.8 11. Either I'll put this in wrong place or is there a hidden setting I need to change?

It you open in a web browser? That's where he plays, not in PSE, overview, or on your desktop.

  • Resizing for the web

I belong to a forum that shares photos of landscapes.  The obligation to display is 1200 pixels on the longest side.  In my old program (6 items) I could resize and enter the pixel length, I wanted.  In the 10 items that I just bought, I gives me the options when resizing to adjust the width and height in percent, inches, cm, mm, points, picas, and columns - but no pixels.  How to pay 1200 pixels on the longest side when resizing for the web?

Thanks, 99jon!  Who did.  Very much appreciated.
