Missing files - no internet access

I recently did a complete system restore my Tecra 8200 using the recovery CD of product (for Windows 98 SE). I connect to a modem broadband and ADSL line via USB. It seems to make a connection (I see that the password is authenticated and the TCIP Protocol is accepted), but I can't view all the pages in Explorer - they all upward and DNS error pages.
Looks like I'm missing some files - I see that I can't run IPCONFIG or PING. Any ideas how to sort this? I tried for two days. Aargh!

I understand you I this way, you plug the ADSL modem via USB and the connection is detected, is not it?

I adopted the modem would work with another PC in a straight path, so the problem is in anywhere in your system!

Installed the drivers for the USB modem correctly?
As far as I know that a network bridge must be created by the system!

Also, you should check your network settings (I don't know who are your ADSL modem, please look in the manual).

Next possibility is the Iexplorer. Launch it and Options - Internet Options - connections - configuration you can set one up to the Internet via a DSL modem or a network.

Ultimately to connect through a USB ADSL modem is not the best way to go online and I don't have much information about your modem, so I think that your provider should know this problem and can help you.

But if your provider won't help you keep us informed!

    What is the version of the OS you are using? Unfortunately, you will not be able to rename them, duplicate or delete files from Adobe Acrobat DC app. You will need to do the same to a third-party to do the same file manager. However, you don't need internet access or registration to DC to do the same thing.

    HP Pavilion DV6609mw with Vista home premium pre-installed disliked vista so deleted and tried several times to install xp family as soon as I installed it there are several missing files his not recognizing not modem cd/dvd drive, ethernet etc. unable to connect to internet etc. so I tried to reinstall Vista with iso disc using key code on the bottom of the laptop sticker but get error saying that the file D:\Sources\ Install.wim is missing error 0 x 80070002 (I think).     If you used the recovery disks do on your PC you shouldn't have the key at the bottom of the laptop code. All I can suggest is to order a new set of recovery disks.
