Notice that the toolbar above the address line on my Firefox home page is missing... the line with "File, Edit, View, history, etc.
Can not find a way to recover... without it, I'll just go back to IE.
In Firefox 3.6 and later Windows, you can hide the "menu bar" by "view > toolbars" or through the context menu on a toolbar.
Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key to bring up the 'Menu Bar' temporarily.
Go on "view > toolbars" or right-click the 'menu bar', or press Alt + V T to select the toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to switch from the State).

How to recover my toolbar with "FILE", "EDIT", options etc?
Original title: deleted
in some ways, I deleted the bar with file, edit, view, tools, etc on this subject. How to retrieve it?
My crystal ball told me that you are referring to Internet Explorer. If they are correct, you must simply right-click on a gray area at the top and select menu bar. If this does not work, you probably have malware.

I use Ref Desk as my page home of Firefox and removed somehow my 'tool' (?) bar with File, Edit, View, history, Favorites, tools, and help at the top of the Ref Desk page. I want to restore it.

You must search Desktop and personalization forum and post there is not to find and answer. Be sure to include your version of Windows and what programs you encounter this problem with. Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers
