• Missing guests of administrator for installation

  For some reason there is a few months I noticed that when I try to double-click the installation files it does not ask me to grant administrative rights.  The only way I can install files is a right click and install as an administrator.  Took me forever user account control settings and still nothing.  I also tried to change my online until local account with no luck.  Finally, I tried to never notify and it is not yet installed when I double click on the file.

  I appreciate any assistance with this issue.

  It seems that I solved the problem

  • Open windows Explorer
  • Paste this address
    • %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\
  • Right-click on the Tempfolder, then Properties, then Security, then Advanced
  • Then click the change permissions button
  • Remove all permissions
  • Select
    • Include the permissions that can be inherited from the parent to this object
    • Replace all permissions of child object with permissions inheritable from this object
  • Click OK...
  I did in trying to solve a problem (the same problem that led me to this post in the first place).  Don't know how the Temp file was set to anything BUT inherit the permissions of the parent.  Happy, that fixed it well!

• Missing icons or show red x in guest accounts

  Just noticed that Windows Vista has ceased to display icons in Internet Explorer and Windows sidebar. Icons are replaced by red crosses in the boxes.

  Note: this happens only in the guest accounts. My administrator account is not affected and works well. Please, what is the resolution of this problem?

  1. are you referring to the standard account as a guest account?

  I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps

  1. click on start. in the start search, type the following line.
  Navigate to the C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local folder
  2 delete the IconCache.db file hidden.

  3. restart the computer.

• Guest can not update calendar invitation

  Problem 1: I created an event from one of my calendars iCloud. I send to a guest. He receives the e-mail and accepts (by clicking on the .ics file in the email) and article is placed in its calendar. If I need then for example change the time or place and then send an update, it receives the e-mail, but the update does not appear in its timetable, even if it double-clicks the .ics file in the email.   Problem 2: the other way around. I sent an invitation. I received the email. It was that the events were automatically put in the default calendar. That no longer seems to be the case and I can't find a preference for it. But even if I double-click the .ics file in the email, nothing happens, I'm not able to receive invites to all of this person.

  NB my calendars are all iCloud. Calendars of the other person are all on his Mac. Certainly, it wouldn't make a difference? We have just updated to El Capitan. Both have iMacs with plenty of space and memory.

  Just adding to my own question: I just noticed that when someone sends me an invitation and I double-click the .ics in the e-mail, as I said above, it is not in the calendar, or the menu bar waiting for acceptance. However, there is the red blob on the icon in the dock, which suggests that there is something in need of attention. But how do you get?

• Any missing files in iTunes library

  Let me start by saying this: I used to work for Apple in the store. I know that the software and the beautiful products well (it has been a few years since then), but I was never a genius. I do not do things that will eventually be glitch the operating system.

  Here's the problem:

  • When I started using iTunes, I unchecked "copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library" that I didn't like the way iTunes duplicated my files of music (unnecessarily taking more space), as well as their sorting system.
    • Therefore, all my files are simply located in my "Music" folder I recognize that there is a problem when it comes with that.
  • I met the problem with iTunes, in which he cut off the ends of a fair few of my songs. The only way to solve this problem is to create a new library. I decided to import my old one because I didn't lose my plays and reading lists, once again (I had this problem before and simply started again, at the same time the simplest solution).
  • I didn't have enough space on my Macbook so I used a drive hard portable 1 TB to consolidate files and export of the library as a selection. I managed to import into a new library, and the songs that had been cut played in its entirety. Perfect! First problem solved.
  • However, each of my files is now 'missing' (exclamation points) - this is ~ 4 700 music files. As a result guests to locate missing files, iTunes fails every time to find any other ones in a similar situation.

  Is there a way to locate the missing files en masse, since I do not have an iTunes Media folder (it is empty)?

  Is there a way to locate the missing persons file by ALBUM (which is how I got together in the artist file)? It sucks, but it sucks less than having to locate the 4 700 music files manually one by one.

  Any help is very appreciated. I feel that I googled this to the ends of the Earth with no luck.

  iTunes will attempt to move the files en masse - but only if it has been set to organize media. If you have disabled that iTunes can't / don't try to find others.

  If this problem only somewhere between points 3 and 4 above?  "Consolidate" has a very special meaning with iTunes as an action done iTunes and to consolidate you need iTunes using preferences default to the Organization and to copy media.  At this point in your description I start losing track of what it was exactly you did and when things started does not. It is not just a matter of practice that need to be turned on before you start iTunes is it?

  Or you can try and see on the repair of the system and then if your disk utility can

  (a) you can try to arrange for a Windows XP disk that corresponds to the same edition, as it is installed on your machine.

  (b) thereafter, follow this link & check if you are able to start correctly on the desktop.

  Error message: "Windows did not start because of a configuration of the disk of the computer problem.

  I'm trying to implement a cDAQ-9137 for continuous data capture, without monitoring and logging for a long period of time (2 weeks +). I just created a new empty Labview project and added my cDAQ as target. However, when I right click on my cDAQ and go to 'Add targets and devices', the guest of the C module is missing, the only option is ' Chassis MXIe-RIO ".   Thank you for fixing the screenshots of your project and MAX OR this post on the forum! Unfortunately, I don't have a CompactDAQ real-time directly available to test for the moment, but I'm fairly certain that you should be able to read I/O without adding explicitly in the Modules of the series C with your cDAQ. The reason why you must explicitly add the CompactRIO modules targets is because modules runs in the interface of the Interface of scanning or FPGA. With a goal of RT CompactDAQ, there is no interface FPGA option; instead your controller will read I/O to your Modules in the series C directly.

  If there is not an option for 'Module of the C series' in the submenu again when right clicking the target RT CompactDAQ, then I am inclined to believe that you should be able to target by device name thereafter. I want to say is that if you create a VI using our DAQmx API below your target RT CompactDAQ, you should be able select "CDaq1Mod3" as a material target for this task. Please check that is a DAQ Assistant or create a task DAQmx simple acceleration (or whatever it is you measure) under the lens of RT CompactDAQ. Thank you!

  Let us first start the sfc scan and check if there are any file system corruption.

  b. type the following command and press ENTER:
  sfc/scannow

• How to activate games in the administrator account to be played in the guest account?

  I have several downloaded games that is in the account administrator by default.  I would like to be able to play these games in the account guest by default.  Some of the games have the icons shown in the guest account Desktop, however, when you try to play them I get an error message or some special file is missing or an access denied message.

  My question: How to enable these games to play in the guest account?

• Pointer/file missing in Outlook Express 6? Not compact or export.

  Under XP with Outlook Express 6. Msgs compacting works (until the last folder?) and then said terminte because the file is in use.  Does not say which folder.  I have not opened - I know.  Do not use to do this.  Have auto update so not sure when something has been corrupted.

  This may be related to another problem.

  When I tried to export these msg on a Vista platform I got msg that an Outlook file is missing.  But the attempt to export error msg does not say which file is missing.

  Any suggestions?

  If I can get the Outlook Express on the XP machine compacted, then want to export these message (I have thousands hundreds stored in folders) so I can import then to a Vista machine (my more recent)

  You are compacting via the guest? Try it manually. There is a bug in SP3 that you should have installed years ago which makes the compaction via the quickie on Folders.dbx. You can see what folder it crashes on simply by moving this dialog box from the road entering the blue banner at the top.

  Compaction hangs on Folders.dbx after installation of the SP3 for XP:

  It is a known problem and will never be solved. As a result, compact your folders manually. The counter will be reset, and a compact manual won't hang it.

  Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

  If you have the habit of compaction before 100th closing, (i.e. once a week or more), you will never see the prompt again.

  In regards to your problem may be related:

  Outlook Express does not work under Vista and Outlook is a totally different program, so that the problem is not related and not even on the same machine.
