Missing icon in the notification bar Crashplan

Miss me a notification app on my Asus laptop icon. I had an icon in my taskbar notification for Crashplan until last week.  I checked to make sure that the parameters had not been changed to hide icon and notifications or only show notifications.  The icon appears nowhere in the list of applications with the notification icons.  No matter how EASY ways to get it back?  I can't tell you how leary I'm digging around the folders and files...

Thanks for your help!

KJ

Thank you, Ruth.  My computer has installed updates and the icon reappears when the restart is complete.  I really appreciated your offer to walk me through the process, if!

You can also do a system restore. Choose the date where all of your missing icons were present as your restore point.

Start button > Search box, type system restore > press the Enter key > uac prompt > click on choose a different restore point > next > select dates as your restore point, click
    > Next > finish
To sit and wait. The machine restarts when it's done.

  • How to get the Gadget icon on the Notification bar

I just upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 and use the bar Gadgets of all day for exchange rates and the clocks of the world. On Vista, there's a gadget icon on the Notification bar, so that I could click to get Gadgets to the front immediately. I can't get this icon on the notification bar of Windows 7, which means I have to minimize active windows to get gadgets which is a pain. I don't want the gadgets always on top that they get in the way sometimes.

Is it possible to add an icon to the notification bar so I can access the Gadgets quickly?

    Thanks for any advice.

  • Missing icons in the notification area

The only icons in the notification area are Microsoft Security Essentials and the clock. How can I get the default icons (especially ' remove hardware safely') to appear?

It wasn't the problem. But I did a ggogle search and found many others have had the same problem of lack of icons in the notification area, the solution was a small script that change a line in the registry, and the problem is solved. The problem has been apparently related to start several programs at the same time when the computer is turned on.

    Hello

Tasks that are not present in the taskbar area?
As far as I know if the application has started as a background process doesn t lie in the taskbar.
Also possibly installing some programs ask you if you want to create the icon in the taskbar.

Additional I found an article very useful on the icons in system tray missing at startup of Windows XP.

  • I can adjust is no longer control volume via the speaker icon in the notification bar.

I found issues of users on this forum where the "speaker" icon has disappeared.  My problem is slightly different.  The "speaker" icon is always visible, but when I click it, I no longer get the vertical bar that allows me to adjust the volume.  I have made no recent changes to my computer and does not understand why it happened all of a sudden.  I have spent at the taskbar properties and tried to turn the volume icon but this has not cured the problem.  Can anyone help?

It is not a 'solution' in its true meaning.

The corrupted account use more. You will need to remove it. BUT, before you do, and if you want to save what are in this account, you will need to use this tutorial:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-CA/Windows-Vista/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

Note: after you create the profile, you can copy the files from the existing profile. You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to perform these operations, including the new account you just created.

Of course, if there is nothing to save the corrupted account, then just delete.

If this account is an administrator account, make sure you first create a new admin account AND make sure that the new administration is working FIRST before deleting the old one. *******

PS It is not advisable to activate the guest account. Disable it.

Create a standard user account for all guests who may need to use your computer.

  • How can I get rid of the Firefox icon in the notifications bar? I don't want to just hide it, I mean disabling or uninstalling it.

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons

In the left column, click Extensions.

    Hello

I recently did the 5.1 update and followed with a factory reset in order to get a clean install. Everything runs smoothly until out of the SMS preview. Before my changes, I could read a text message, one line at a time as a glimpse into the notification bar. I must have missed something or been more cautious when faced with fresh settings I get is more that.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

In Lollipop, this has been changed. When you receive a text message and you use the pre-installed mail application, only the messaging icon will appear in your notification field and no floating text / scrolling as in the previous software. Unfortunately, I am not aware of all the 3rd party apps that have this kind of functionality, but there could be some app via Google game there.
