missing in CS5 64-bit slider sliders

Hello

I installed CS5, 64 bit, Windows 8.1 on a second computer. Have no cursor (for example the clone brush and stamp tool) sliders to change the size or hardness. Also, key hooks do not work to resize cursors. How can I get sliders?

Hi Samsamc1,

Please put 'All tools', in the bar of menus in Photoshop, restart the Application.

And then try again.

Kind regards

Tanuj

  • The Photoshop icon is missing after CS5 download

    Hello

I just downloaded the Creative Suite 5 on my new computer laptop (OS is Windows 7) and for some reason the Photoshop icon is missing from my computer. It always works as it should, but it's an annoying cosmetic problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I must also warn you that I'm not very tech savvy!

OK, in this case I think the icon file might have been moved or damaged.

    Lets try the step below:

    > Right click on the exe file-> PS CS5-> properties-> Shortcut tab change icon

    > Select the PS icon in the list-> OK

    > If you do not see PS icon is this list, click Browse, and then navigate to file Photoshop.exe [(C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64 bits)... for 64-bit) and (C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5)... for 32-bit]-> OK

    Check if this is useful!

    Hi tom hoekstra,.

You would be able to run Photoshop CS5 on a 64-bit computer.

Only two CS5 applications are exclusively 64-bit, Premiere Pro and After Effects. The rest, including Photoshop, will take place in any environments 32 - bit or 64 - bit, including Windows XP. But CS5 users on 64-bit native should realize significantly greater gains in performance, in some cases as much as ten times the previous speed.

How to record down version Cloud Creative InDesign CS5? Exported as a file .idml but still the messages that plug-ins are missing, although CS5 confirms it is fully updated.

Yes. Thank you. I based on another post misled. Successfully done this by selecting 'File', 'save a copy... ". "then choosing"for CS4 or later (IDML).

He had little patience and several tests, but I think it was because of hardware (memory) overloaded version CC cloud or something. It was a 50 MB, file of 500 pages and took 17 minutes to convert/save,

Recap: dnuee to CS5, do not use "Export" (IDML); use ' Save as ' or 'Save a copy' and select "for CS4 or later (IDML).

    Advice much appreciated.

  • Filters 'Gallery of filters' should appear in the menu Filter CS5 64 bit?

I could swear that I had 'Gallery of filters' filters available (artistic brush strokes, sketches...) CS5 64-bit. But tonight I realized that I can't see them in CS5 32 bit, not in the 64-bit version. Is this normal?

Please note that I am * not * talk to be dimmed because of the image in 16 bits. It's just that they do not appear in the menu, as they do in the 32-bit version. I tried to copy the gallery.8bf file version from 32 to 64 one filter, but it does not work.

What is my menu filter looks like on each version of CS5 (32-bit / 64-bit):

    cs5_64_32.gif

    Thanks for your help.

Thanks, I was sure that they should be there, but since I don't use them often, I was in doubt.

I can't think of anything I did to remove the filters Gallery - I'm really intrigued on how he could disappear (?). I have assumed that the 32 and 64-bit version of the 8bf file would be different, but wanted to give it a try just in case...

After having lost some time trying to find the 64-bit "gallery.8bf filter" online, I decided to reinstall everything CS5 and Yes, just as you say, now the filters are there. It's a good thing that reinstall CS5 somehow intact keeps your preferences, workspace and plugins 3rd party! I just had to run the Adobe update and everything is back to normal.

Thanks for confirming this has been a problem! Have a great day.

  • Does not work with CS5 64-bit install CS5 32-bit license

I used successfully with Windows 7 Professional 32 bit CS5.  A couple of days, I did a clean install of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on this same machine.  Both CS5 32-bit and 64-bit were installed by Setup Photoshop on the 64-bit computer.  Both versions were on Adobe drive.  During the installation process, I was invited to enter the CS5 license key which I did - it has been accepted and CS5 has been installed successfully.

When I clicked on CS5 32 bit, the program opens without any problem.  When I clicked on CS5 64 bit program opens on a screen that asks me to enter the key to license again and he tells me I can accept a 30-day trial.  When I enter the license key that I previously entered when installing the screen tells me that the license key is not valid.

Is this normal?  Are there two separate license keys - for 32-bit and one for 64?  There is only a sticker on the product license key.

Can someone help me please?  Thank you.

    Bill - Kansas City

I guess I would still like to know why CS5 32 bit works but CS5 64-bit says my license key is not valid.

Well, if it's illegal, you can assume the index at this point has been updated and the server refuses to check it out. That said, the encrypted key is calculated by specific parameters of your hard disk and the operating system and stored somewhere safe. Change the operating system without recalculating the keys simply will make it invisible to the 64-bit applications because they never knew that he exists at all. In any case, at this point a vicious circle. Unless you straighten the legal issues and to purchase a duly authorized license, there is nothing that anyone can do.

  • To open click nave in bridge CS5 32 bit

I have Win7 64 bit and CS5 64 bit. When I double click a nave in bridge, it starts the 32-bit version of CS5. Why he would not start the 64-bit version?

Why he would not start the 64-bit version?

Because the bridge is strictly 32-bit and Adobe simply does not have the effort to create a 64 bit version of it.

It does not start CS5 64-bit because standardization for the ships in Bridge, the association seems to be CS5 32-bit.

Go to preferences of bridges-online-online NEF file associations and replace it with the photoshop.exe in "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\"

  • CS5 32-bit opens with no menu, window actions empty

When I opened CS5 32-bit main window has nothing in it but a white background. There is no menu or Toolbox. Actions to completely open the blank window (transparent except for the frame). The application does not meet all mouse commands (trying to capture and move the window does nothing).

Manager tasks indicates that it consumes about 12% time processor and approximately 73 MB of memory.

Last week I just change some pictures when I got an error that an action cannot be completed because of a program error. I was not able to use the 32-bit version since then, but the 64-bit version is fine.

I deleted CS5 and reinstalled. I also rebooted several times.

I need the 32-bit version so I can use DFine2.

    Has anyone seen this?

Have you installed anything either or changes of configuration items that coincident with this failure?

You mentioned using CS5 32-bit plug-ins...  It is possible that a plugin is corrupt the operation of Photoshop to start...  You may need to remove plug-ins to see if it boots correctly without them.

Something you can try is to remove the Photoshop preferences file by pressing Ctrl - Shift - Alt immediately after starting the application.  You must be quick, and it will prompt you to confirm the deletion, when you got that right.  Remember that this will cause measures to be laid out, and all the settings you made be handed over to the defautls.

In addition, make sure your video drivers are up to date with the manufacturer of your video card.

    I hope this helps.

  • CS5 64-bit Content Aware Fill kills Healing brush, clone stamp

    Here's the deal:

    (1) open an image for editing-bottom only layer

    (2) make the copy of the layer of background because I never touch it and College won't work on the white layer I use for all other alterations

    (3) add the empty layer above the two previous layers for clone stamp/healing work - cannot use it for content-aware fill

    (4) find something that will touch up better with the CAF that cloning or healing and fix it with the CAF on layer 2

    (5) the Healing Brush tool and the Clone Stamp now do not work.  I can see them, and the Clone Stamp continues to preview in the brush properly, but when clicked nothing happens.

The only solution I found is to save the image, and then restart CS5.

    Consistent and repeatable boring...

    Steve

Well, I think I have reproduced what you see.

Rather than use the Spot Healing Brush to call Content Aware Fill on the background copy layer, I selected an area then did Edit - Fill.

Keep in mind that you will have to clear before using the tool clone again.

If you have not done, that there why you see nothing painted by the clone tool.  The selection you did to clear the handful of stool is always active.

Hoping it's as simple as that!

  • CS5 64-bit problem tool Clone

If I use the clone tool and the heal tool in CS5 64 bit, after selecting the source point with the ALT when I move the cursor move a copy of the mage set, looks like I'm moving a duplicated layer. I read a similar post in the Mac forum and the answer was to deselect Show overlay in the Toolbox of Source of duplication, this works, but takes a very interesting feature.

The problem does not occur in the 32-bit version.

I think you want to activate the option "cut" in the range of Source of duplication.

  • GPU settings became unavailable PS CS5 32-bit on Win7 x 64

I have an ATI Radeon HD 4670 by VisionTek card with 1 GB of RAM in my computer Windows 7 x 64 Ultimate 8 GB.  I run a Setup dual monitor and have all the software of video driver updated (as well as Windows 7).  The system works perfectly, not logging of errors or showed no sign of other problems.

My video card/system have supported since PS CS4 GPU acceleration and when I installed PS CS5 first I was able to immediately configure the settings to activate the drawing OpenGL in CS5 32 bit, exercise the GPU (after the restart of CS5 32 bit) but now settings are not available and the software says "no GPU option available with Photoshop Standard." :

    CS532Bit.jpg

The 64-bit version of PS CS5 allow the GPU settings, and it works with them very well:

    CS564Bit.jpg

When I ran initially CS5 32-bit I was NOT running Aero (i.e., the theme was Windows 7 Basic), that I share my office with a co-worker using RAdmin (so we could all live both the installation and configuration process).  However, manually by selecting the Windows 7 Basic theme now does not re - allows the possibility to configure the drawing OpenGL.

The only things I did between the time when the framework was available and had not been to organize my palettes and create a workspace in which to keep them.

The memory of setting (shown at 100% above for CS5 32-bit) does not have this problem.

Any ideas how to get OpenGL acceleration in 32 bit CS5?

    -Christmas

"no standard available with photoshop gpu option."

Ooops, somebody has not fixed the error string.

But it means that your video card driver said that is not able to run even the most basic functions GPU required by Photoshop.

My guess is that there is a kind of problem of driver/conflict on your system.

  • CS5 64 bit does not open

    I bought a Sony Vaio with Win 7 64 bit to use CS5 64-bit.

The program installs perfectly but when opening it gets to the last initialization and I get the error "Adobe photoshop CS5 has stopped working".

I disabled all the security and user account controls, then reinstalled, I've even gone as far as a factory reset then redownloaded and reinstalled with no cure.

The 32-bit version and the bridge work very well and even 64-bit mode safe but still not open open in Admin or regular user accounts.

Someone has an idea?  Sony is not very useful.

    Thank you

This is the driver not the tablet itself, so you will need to uninstall the driver too. You can do it from the control panel/Device Manager. If it works, then try to install the latest driver for Wacom and see if that helps.

  • Why has the name of missing white (LR 5.3) slider?

In LR 5.3 on Win7 64. In the develop module, base Panel, there are 4 sliders, appointed

    Highlights, shadows, whites and blacks.

For now, I have all four sliders, but the name of the control for white disappeared.

The slider is there, it works (seems), records a digital value... but it doesn't have a name.

Quite bizarre. Makes me wonder if a software resource file was munged, or something.

How special... have you tried the preference file yet?  If this does not work I would advise you uninstall and reinstall...  Also does the same thing with the 32-bit version?

  • Satellite L355D - some drivers are missing for Win 64 bit

I received this L355D in a trade for a unit of the computer.

Supposedly, he had a virus on it and don't run so the previous owner wiped the drive and installed an operating system Linux on it before offering to me in a job and I didn't have the password for Linux and the owner previous couldn't be contacted, so I cleaned the disk and installed XP Professional 64 that I purchased and had installed on the Tower I exchanged (I kept the hard drive). XP Pro 64 only comes with SP2.

I had the same problems with missing drivers.
I have become aware that the original problem WAS NOT a virus as the previous owner thought due to its stop suddenly, the device was overheating due to an accumulation to high dust and other fuzz at the entrance to the fan.

I downloaded the drivers from Toshiba which are provided for are the Vista 64 platform (I use XP 64-bit, as much, I hate Vista) some had to have a second attempt, but I managed to install almost all of them, and they work!

This cured the wireless Altheros and it works well but is not the ethernet Altheros
This cured the issue with Realtek ethernet and it works well and is now in use
The Realtek multimedia works with all others.

Also, I use MS Essentials for security (no particular reason) and if you decide to use, select Vista 64 as your operating system XP 64 is not supported and will not not install, but if you lie and say you're a Vista 64 will be, sometimes it don't dΘmarre so a simple 'restart' solves the problem.

I have the same questions and don't know what to do to solve them without creating new ones.

    Hello

Windows XP 64-bit drivers were never published by Toshiba.
The 32-bit Windows has been used in the past and the 64-bit Windows versions are popular since Vista and Win 7.

However, the ACPI\TOS1901 seems to be Uitility password or the supervisor password utility.
Maybe the 32-bit version would work.

The VEN_1002 & DEV_4385 SM bus controller appears to be from a controller from ATI
I could find the VEN ID in database PCI
