Upgraded to Windows 7 and had to replace the motherboard. Now can't activate Windows 7
I have upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 on my desktop Gateway in 2009. I just had the motherboard replaced and had to reload Windows 7. I reinstalled it as new instead of upgrading. Now I can not activate my key to Windows 7 upgrade. What can I do?
Yes, you can purchase a copy full of the same edition of Windows is installed, and install the key by using the option change the product key.
The quckest to do (not necessarily best) is to buy on Microsoft Store - they will email a key that you can use immediately.

I had to replace my motherboard - how to re - activate Acrobat DC?
I had to replace my motherboard (Intel NUC integrated CPU & GPU) after it didn't - even if the SSD and memory are the same, my DC Acrobat is now running in trial period.
How can I "transfer" the licence while I still have a spare part for the future?
Hello
You can simply enable Acrobat DC. If in case, you need to activate Acrobat on another machine just contact an Adobe Customer Support using the activation.
Thank you

I am so frustrated now that I'm ready to give up window 7.
I had to replace my abit IX38 QuadGT inserted in my PC due to problems of firmware cannot be resolved (abit now being out of the business of the motherboard). In any case, I bought a new ASUS P5Q Pro TURBO (which is SUPPOSED to be ready out of the box for Windows 7) and TRIED to reinstall my Windows 7 64-bit professional installation.
To add bad things to me I had to replace my hard drive with a new WD 640 MB Caviar Black. I had the feeling to my 500 GB Seagate Barracuda as a primary drive, hoping that Windows 7 Pro would see that, Yes, I had a previous installation of Windows 7, and it would allow me to install again.
No luck.
My system starts ok DVD of Windows 7, then the files installation done and then goes to the windows 7 screen installation and CRASHES completely.
What ____! I have updated the BIOS to try to solve the problem, but of course, no go.
Can someone tell me what to do _ because I'm NOT a novice by any means and I literally spent hours of my time trying to make a simple re-install.
I am angry that this is not simpler than it is. MS why can't this right. Good grief!

Waddling in territory of Windows Vista
Finally solved... by ditching the ASUS Board. It's a piece of SH$ (%! Put in a Gigabyte UD3LR card. The RAM has acknowledged and assign it is 1066 speed immediately. Still using the Commission. A sweet piece of kit.
ASUS Aspire now in my opinion. I'll never buy a Board again and encourage others to avoid completely. How the once powerful ASUS fell.
All the best,
Curt

I had to replace my motherboard, that will affect my license of Vista?
I had to replace the motherboard on my desk. My OS is Vista. I wanted to know if it was all I had to do before I start the system again. Thank you.
You probably need to reinstall Vista if it is a different model motherboard you have installed, as the installed operating system will not recognize the new hardware.
And, if a different motherboard, you can have all kinds of problems.
We do not know what type of license you have for reactivation after changing hardware.

Reactivate Windows 7 after replacing the motherboard
I had to replace the motherboard. I have a 3-license Windows 7, installed copy on 3 machines (including this one). Windows tells me I have to reactivate, but the system of automatic phone won't let me because he thinks he's already on 3 machines. I can't find a way to learn how to talk to a person to explain. There was a previous answer saying to call the activation number but not to choose all the guests, but who never goes to a live person; the fair guests get an angry sounding, and finally he told to go away and come back when you're ready to do it properly.
How can I get a real person to explain this?
I would not however go this activation of the phone. You need to contact:

If your computer has an OEM version (supplied with the computer) of Windows Vista, it is linked to the original motherboard and when you replaced the motherboard the license becomes invalid. The only exception is if the original motherboard been replaced by or with the approval of the OEM (computer manufacturer) due to a failed motherboard and an exact match is not available. It would then the OEM manufacturer to provide a license appropriate for the computer. -

Replacing hard drive and Windows 7 has been installed now can not activate
Original title: WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE
Had to replace the hard drive on my desktop. A Windows Vista. Came back with Windows 7 Ultimate installed. Now I can't turn it on. As of just put Windows Vista on.Hello
Here are the different methods to reinstall Vista. You cannot use the recovery Partition method because it should be replaced by the installation of Windows 7...
There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.
You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
They should do this for a small fee.
To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:
You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:
How to change the Boot order in BIOS:
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm
"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246
And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.
The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)
Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.
Ask them to the proper key sequence.
Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.
If this happens, you may need to try this instead:
You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs
Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:
"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '
http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html
And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.
And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

My Iwatch is synchronized with an Iphone which contained the water damage, and I had to replace my phone. Can I recover my photos of my Iwatch?
Hello
No - you can't retrieve pictures directly from your watch. However, you can add your replacement iPhone.
Apple Watch stores the photos in an album photo sync on your iPhone. By default, it's on your album of Favorites (the photos that you have marked as Favorites). The photos may not be synchronized / extra back to your new iPhone to your watch - synchronization only works on the other hand.
To keep the same pictures on your watch once it is paired with your replacement iPhone, you must add these same photos to the iPhone. You may be able to do this by restoring a recent backup of your iPhone:
- Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support
Once the pictures are on your iPhone, select the album to synchronize with your watch:
-On your iPhone, in the application of Eve, go to: My Watch (low left tab) > Photos > synced Album > selects an album > allow them to synchronize after changing the albums.
