missing msvcp140.dll

Trying to run an application (Dolphin) and get this error message 'msvcp140.dll' missing I downloaded the c ++ 2015 and tried to install it. It always freezes or the progress bar never moves, even after leaving there for hours. I really need help. I'm running on Windows 7 on a HP Pavilion slimline.

Let's stick to your Windows update thread for now. I suspect that the two issues could be related.

    Hello

With the June 2016 version of Adobe® Creative Cloud applications migrated using Visual C++® 2015 runtimes from Microsoft®.

This change was made to ensure that the software creative cloud use the runtimes that Microsoft currently supports.

With this migration, our latest version of Creative Cloud Apps will require that VC 2015 runtimes have been installed on the system using the software to work correctly.

  • Cannot run CC Cleaner because it lacks MSVCP140.dll

This problem started when I tried to update my creative cloud application which gave rise to an error code 1. I looked this error online and I discovered that the official protocol is run the program Creative cloud cleanser to remove the creative clouds itself. Out of this solution, another problem arose where I can't run CC Cleaner because apparently MSVCP140.dll is missing on my computer. I looked for solutions and have downloaded manually specified here: lack of VCRUNTIME140.dll and MSVCP140.dll and here: error: api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing and have also installed this: Download Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 of the official Microsoft Download Center but vacuuming always displays the same prompt.123.JPG

    Hello

I searched a bit using Google and it seems that TosHdpAPI.dll belongs to Toshiba Bluetooth software stack but he s strange why it is important for your Quicken program

In your case I would try to reinstall the Bluetooth software which can be downloaded here:

If it doesn t help you should contact the manufacture of the Quicken program. Usually, they should know how you can get rid of this error message. They probably have a patch (update) for this problem.

  • Windows XP is missing Normaliz.dll still boots and loads the shell perfectly.

I tried to run a piece of software when I noticed that it wouldn't start.  He could always back "cannot locate the Normaliz.dll. Reinstall the application might solve the problem. ' So I did, more than 15 times.  Nothing, so I watch system32 and enter this place. C:\WINDOWS\system32\Normaliz.dll is when it appeared

I don't know how the shell is the same load with the dll missing. In addition, yes the model is in safe mode because I will try a reinstall that.  and to all these 'experts' not sfc/scannow not recognise dll IS NOT CHECK THEM and do not say to do a repair install, I already did. He still didn't.  One last thing. Ive oticed when I meet Unicode, I get bad text, this is the result of the DLL is not obviously.

I don't know how it works because if the file is actually missing, usually, I see this:

Explorer.EXE - unable to locate component: this application did not start
because Normaliz.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

It is in the case Log:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Application Popup
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 26
    Description:
Application popup: Explorer.EXE - unable to locate component: this application did not start
because Normaliz.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Checked to see if the file was really missing, right?

Because Explorer does not start, you need to use something like the Task Manager to navigate and repair your system, but you can fix it if a missing normaliz.dll is the only problem / real.

The subject still has merit, but now SkyDrive has changed to OneDrive and you can find a copy of the normaliz.dll file you need here:

No repair install will fix it, is not on your XP installation CD and there is no way to sfc/scannow will fix it because it is what sfc/scannow does, this isn't how it works and it's not what it is for.

  • Missing WININET.dll

I have a HP Mini 1000 (flash drive, no hard drive). I rolled back the more early to get rid of the files is no longer needed on the computer. When I reboot, I get a message saying that wininet.dll was not found. I tried rebooting in safe mode and got the same message. When the screen appears, it is empty and useless. I have to open the Task Manager to close the session in order to restart. I tried to download a file WININET.dll from a site (I know, scary) to a flash drive. There is no way to open it on the machine damaged. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I guess the first thing will be to get an external entry system works, but I'm stuck.

Safe Mode boot and run sfc/scannow will not help you for two reasons:

sfc/scannow will not work in Mode without failure.

Running sfc/scannow will not replace the missing file even if it worked.

Of course you should be suspicious files that you download are unknowns, b sources
UT there are copies of the file wininet.dll on your system in other places.

You can also use the Task Manager to copy from the flash drive on your hard disk if you want to, but I would keep the last option and get a copy of the file from a trusted source.

If the c:\windows\system32\wininet.dll file is missing, you will see a message like this:

Explorer.EXE - unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because WININET.dll not found.  Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

By clicking OK, you will then see a message like this:

dwwin.exe - Unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because WININET. DLL.dll was not found.
Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Depending on your configuration, you may see other messages complaining, so just keep clicking on the OK button as they come.

By clicking OK, you will eventually have to an empty office with just the presentation of wallpaper background.

Since the Explorer.exe does not start without the file, and so is not running, there will be no icons on the desktop or the taskbar, but you can always
navigate and do other things using the Task Manager.

Depending on your configuration, other applications may complain in various ways, so just click on the button OK under each message arrives.
You may not be able to replace the missing file until all the pop-up error messages are recognized (work quickly).

The screen background image. Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete to start the Task Manager and from there, you can replace the missing wininet.dll file
(you can replace any missing file from the Task Manager).

We know that XP keeps copies of critical system files in the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

You must copy the backup copy of the file in the dllcache folder in the system32 folder where it belongs.

In Task Manager, click file, new task (run...), browse and navigate to the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

In the navigation window, do not forget the "files of type" drop-down is set to "All files" or you will not be able to 'see' the file you need when you browse folders.

    Navigate to the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

If you don't see the file, do not forget the "Files of type" drop-down list is set to "All files" or you won't see all of the files.

If the file is also missing from the dllcahce folder, look for a copy in this folder:

    c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

Locate the file wininet.dll, right-click and choose copy (it copies the file to the Windows Clipboard).

Browsing from a level in the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32

Right-click on an empty area in the window of c:\windows\system32 and choose Paste to paste in the missing file where it belongs.

If no popup messages launched from other applications to complain about the missing file, just click OK so you can complete the
file copy process.  If there is a message to complain about, you must click OK to get rid of the message to complete the file copy.

After the file has been copied, the Task Manager, click on stop, "Restart" to reboot the system (always try to avoid using the power
    button to restart the system).

It is possible that the file is also missing in the dllcache folder, but it is in other places on your system.

If the c:\windows\system32\wininet.dll file is missing, you can also replace it with boot the system using the safe mode with command prompt
and copy the backup copy of the file.

After the boot safe mode with command prompt in the command prompt window, replace the lack of files with the backup copy enter the following command (the command prompt window):

    Copy c:\windows\system32\dllcache\wininet.dll c:\windows\system32

If the file is also missing from the dllcahce folder, look for a copy in this folder:

    c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file and then you should see a message that 1 file (s) has been copied.

Enter "exit" to close the command prompt window, and then press Ctrl-Alt-Delete to launch the Manager of tasks and Task Manager, turn off
menu choose "Restart" to reboot your system (always try to avoid using the power button to restart the system).

If the file is also missing from the dllcahce folder, look for a copy in this folder:

    c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

Once your system is running, you can determine how it is broken in the first place and fix this problem.

I have a creative soundblaster and I looked on the site creative for a solutuion. all the suggestions that have been made, either do not work or I have no idea what it means. I uninstalled and deleted all the programs of creation of my pc and tried to reinstall the drivers. None of which work. I wanted to find a way to let my computer expert access to solve the problem for me, but it is just as difficult. any advice?

How did you "sort the missing a3d.dll?

Have you downloaded the correct driver for your sound card?  If so, where did you download it?

You have not yet identified the model of your sound card or the make and model of your computer.

    See http://dll-repair-tools.com/dll-files/computer-music-composition-with-devcon32dll -

In simple terms, devcon32.dll contains program code used by the computer to communicate with your audio card SoundbBlaster. The dll is associated with creative products, but is essentially a Windows system file.

The Microsoft version of devcon32.dll can be in C:\Windows\system32\dllcache.  You can try this copy to C:\Windows\system32... but this file may not be the "necessary devcon32.dll" which is probably among the driver download package.

If missing winhttp.dll, some Services from Microsoft (and others) just will not start:

Running sfc/scannow will not replace the winhttp.dll file missing.  I know because I tried.  It's just another wild goose chaseSupport Engineer.

I downloaded a copy of XP Pro SP3 file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these two folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    c:\Windows\System32
c:\Windows\System32\dllcache (this is where XP keeps backups of important files).

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:

    http://CID-6a7e789cab1d6f39.SkyDrive.live.com/redir.aspx?RESID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311

When you see the files available for download, you can not see the file extension (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc.), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, your browser is unable to save the file with an extension (by example, .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc) then you will need to manually add the extension appropriate to the file when you download the file before you save it.

You can download the file without the extension, and then rename the file to add the appropriate extension.  You do not want to use a file called winhttp when the name of the file should really be called winhttp.dll (if the downloaded file has no extension, you will need to change the name of the file to add the appropriate extension to make it work.

You then put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.

Sfc/scannow will not replace the winhttp.dll file missing, but it will be a frustrating waste of time and a technician to support running wild goose chase.  Technical support engineers are hired by Microsoft if you hope that someone would know better.

It's a shame that the technical support engineer did not his own advice to "check how it works.

  • Missing hal.dll – is driving me crazy!

Thus, a colleague brought me a XP computer that wouldn't start. The message I get is about either being damaged or missing hal.dll.

So I jumped on the internet for a solution, but none have worked so far, and I got to a point where I'm about to throw it out the window! We want to avoid reinstalling Windows like we don't have a copy of most of the software installed more!

    I've tried so far...

Using the recovery console on the XP disc to develop hal.dl_ - unsuccessfully

You use the recovery disk XP console to run CHKDSK /rconnect - unsuccessfully

Using the recovery console on the XP disc to develop ntoskrnl.ex_ - unsuccessfully

You use the recovery disk XP console to run bootcfg /rebuild - without success (picked up one more installation of XP in RECYCLER but not start not completely)

Install another copy of Windows on the HARD drive in a separate file, then copying the file hal.dll everywhere and by removing the new facility - without success

Anyone has any suggestions more? He makes me crazy!

I backed up all my data, but I have all my installation discs. Nothing I can do about that really,

Looks like you're stuck trying to solve what you have.

Personally, I would like to burn a live cd like ubuntu, download the boot.ini file that I created for you, then place at the root of c drive using the live cd. Restart and see what you get now the error. At least you would spend the boot.ini issue cause you know that you have a good boot.ini file. You can then start the hal.dll if it does not start. but, when you're dealing with a problem that could be one of the two files, you don't really know which way to go. Remove a cause, then focus on the other. At least that's the way I do things. Process of elimination until I get to the root of the problem.
