  Sorry to hear that you are facing problems with spell check.

  Is this the first time you have added a Word to the dictionary? If so, don't reboot help Muse?

  We are aware of a bug where adding words to the dictionary the first time has no immediate effect until you restart.

  The next session on, this feature works as expected.

  I would like to know if it is compatible with your observations.

• Error when you click 'Read word' in the dictionary

  When you add words to the dictionary for the text-to-speech voices, I get an error whenever I click on word reading.  I click on read Word to test the word is pronunciated way I like.  I have a serial number valid for Captivate I bought.  I already tried to uninstall and reinstall the software.  The reason main is very frustrating because some of the words in my CBT are acronyms that could be read as a Word and words that are not common in the English language, or the text to speech is not just read the words the best way.

  The test of words in the dictionary, I receive some messages read me:

  "Your license has expired, or you have an invalid."

  "Thank you for using spoken text."  You will need to contact our after-sales service team to obtain a valid check file.

  "This demo of tts is for purposes of testing and evaluation only.  Any commercial use is prohibited.

  "This version is strictly for demonstration purposes only.  In order to obtain a license for commercial use, please contact our after-sales service team.

  "This is a demo text tts voice.

  «You don't have a file not valid verification.»  Please contact our customer service to get a valid file.

  "Your license has expired or you have a file not valid verification."

  Another thread (which I can't find now) told me this solution a few months ago.

  As a tip, once you get this market of course add you words to the TIME Kate and Paul dictionaries, even if you're only using one of them. Otherwise, for some reason, it won't work.

  [Additive] If you need only to be able to manually find the breaking points, you can use an implementation of the algorithm of Knuth-Liang. I wrote in C, and it's pretty good, ah, maybe 80% of the words. For a system purely based on rules, which qualifies as "not too bad".

  There are many free implementations; This is a http://code.google.com/p/hyphenator/ in javascript. (It is targeted on the web pages, but the basics should be transferable to your script.)

  In Vista, OE was renamed Windows Mail.  You want the UserDictionary.lex file that contains the added words.  It is located in the top of the page the base directory of Windows Mail messages, which can be found via Tools | Options | Advanced | Maintenance | Storage folder (the default location is C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail) or you can just search for *.lex, and then you can open the file in Notepad and find the word, then delete it.  See here for background information: www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm

• Missing words of the toolbar

  Hi, I was using the BI Publisher Word plugin for a while, but recently my BEEP toolbar has disappeared. I can see the menu entry Oracle BI Publisher right after the Word Help menu, but the nifty toolbar should not be seen. I checked in Word view > toolbars > < list toolbars >, but it isn't here.
  
  I already uninstalled the Office BI Publisher plugin and reinstalled again, but he's not here. I have all the features through the Menu, but it is much slower to use.
  
  I am running Windows XP Professional SP2 with Office 2003. I have not installed MS Updates recently.

  After you have uninstalled and before you start Word, go find the model (BEEP, virtually normal.dot file) and delete it. You are looking for C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\STARTUP\TemplateBuilder.dot

  Is it possible to add a list of words to the compressed dictionary input (TIP) writing Panel handwriting recognition?

  For example, is there a way to put the words in the dictionary that MS office uses (custom.dic) in the dictionary of ART?

  There may be a range of reasons for wanting to do this, including the deletion of the words you use rarely as similar to other common spellings used words for example.   I talked to a few people and I think I'm able to help you with this.

  There are two dictionary files, the default that comes with your version of Firefox and personal 'custom' that you create yourself with phrases and words.

  If you want to change the personal;

  1. Copy Subject: support and paste into the address bar.
  2. Next to the profile folder, click the marked File Show
  3. Find the file persdict.dat. Rename a text file, open, modify, re save it as persdict.dat and replace.

  If you want to change the default dictionary, it could be more of a problem and a lot more technique to do. I would recommend that you look at the problem differently and consider filtering of pages based on inappropriate content using Add-ons such as ProCon Latte Content Filter.
