  I have a client whose name Customer table stores (column name is custname) in French or English. If the table contains 100 lines, then 50 lines have the customer name in the french language and 50 customer name in language English. But there is no possibility that customer name stored in the two (English and french) languages.
  
  A single column, "custname" can have a name in french or English. All other columns stored in the English language.
  There are no other columns in the table which can have the french language (all the other columns are stored in the English language only)
  
  When I say the value of the column is stored in French, I want to say in fact that they are stored in the French language script.
  
  Problem started when I had to separate the french language and English language documents in separate tables. i.e. French files should occupy in the CUSM_FR table and records of English name should occupy the table CUSM_EN. There is no way to distinguish if given the manual is in french or English based on all the other columns in the table. Only the script of logical language file is language French.
  
  We have column 'lang', which is supposed to store the language code, but it stores only NULL values.
  
  So I decided to identify the ASCII value of the name. If the ASCII value between 65 and 90 or 97 to 122 then it's English name, otherwise it is the French name.
  
  I have written query below:

  You can edit the spelling dictionary in your general preferences, Edition - Preferences - Panel.

  never tried it, but the documentation says:

  If you create a localized version of a set of basic resources, you must add the language code letters lowercase ISO 639 for the name of the file.
  For example, the Italian version of the UIResources beam is UIResources_it.properties. You can add the ISO 3166 code of the country (for example it_CH, for the Switzerland) uppercase if several languages are used by several countries.
  You can also add a non-standard option Variant (for example, to provide information platform or region).

  So try it_CH instead of TI - ch (akka en_US)

  You can customize your keyboard for a specific language or format by changing the keyboard layout. The layout controls, the characters appear on the screen when you press the keys on your keyboard. Some input languages have several keyboard layouts; others have only one. For example, you can change your keyboard type to the English QWERTY format to the English Dvorak format. After you change the layout, the characters on your screen may not match the characters on your keyboard.

  I suggest you change the keyboard language or layout and check if that helps.

  It doesn't matter what you enter. The only thing that matters, it's how make you out in the group.
