  My son has downloaded an app from the app world called 'live animation lightning thunder' now, he can't do anything with the phone. He flashes on the desktop, but when he presses the buttons, nothing happens.

  The application cache cleaning might help:

  1. open the App World

  2. go to my world

  3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

  I just started with applications to develop for the playbook, and now my first application is complete.   You try to change something in the directory "app." You can't do that. The "app" directory is read-only. If the database is delivered with your application, you must copy to the directory "app-storage" If there are still and open from there.

• Recently downloaded version 9.0.1 and the url is not valid for the default home page. The default home page is still supported?

  I currently have www.google.com set as my homepage, but Firefox says that the url is not valid for the default home page.

  I looked at my phone and she the Saturn which where 4 apps I bought through world app that was available updates. I go to appworld and goto my world and select one of these applications and it says upgrade is free, but when I select upgrade, it is said, for example, "MiaWallpaper is not available for download on the app world."   In some cases, it was discovered that updates (from got AppWorld apps) require additional steps in order to install the update. If the update will not install, please try this:

  1. Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications > highlight the app > BBKey > delete
  2. AppWorld > MyWorld > Login > highlight the app (if she shows at all, in any State) > BBKey > delete
  3. Use your PC (via the mass storage Mode) or your BB (via Media > BBKey > Explore) and find all references (folders, files) to the app delete everything you find. Search the memory of your device and your press card as well.

  (2) BB App World must be closed

  I do not see how these two errors are related to the first, you were trying to throw the maps app when it appeared? For the second, which came with the maps app? Or is separate #2 and lies somewhere in the process by using your AppWorld?   So I guess. My guess is that, once you upgrade to 7.1, you don't have to perform a few extra steps to ensure that all services were properly enabled on your BB.   • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I hope that will move things again for you! You can try these few points in your process... either now (on 7.0.0.513) or after you re - try to upgrade to 7.1.0.366.

  I got the app storm Slider and Quickpull Pro and I needed to upgrade the cursor and reinstall the Quickpull, but when I went in the App World to do this, they were still available, but I get an error message for some reason telling me that they are not available when they are clearly.  I just upgraded to the latest software for my storm, but this isn't the case because it started with the cursor before the upgrade.  I really need Quickpull back so that I need not reset by a traction battery to anyone can help?  Thank you.

• BlackBerry smartphone App from App World will not download

  So I went in the Blackberry App World to download the app "Score Mobile".  While he was in the process of downloading, it has frozen and cancelled the download.  The app does not appear in the 'My World' as it is downloaded.  But when I go to re - download the 'Score Mobile' application, it gives me the possibility to download it.  The download button is not upward for this app on my phone.  I was wondering how to fix this and be able to download the application.  I have a BB Curve 9380.  Can anyone help?

  I suggest that you clear the cache of the AppWorld application:

  1. open the App World

  2. go to my world

  3. follow one (and only one!) of these steps:

  4 AppWorld must close.

  5. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

  6. return to AppWorld/MyWorld (it can be slow, while it re - sync).

  If (4) stage arrives not as described, then the empty the cache failed.

  Thanks for the reply. I checked deeper than the home screen and all records. Still nothing. Managed to solve the problem myself.

  Open the Options - device - applications management. Find the Blackberry app (which we had 2). Clicked on it, and then on the delete option. Removed two applications.

  After having done that, I downloaded the program from Blackberry App World from the internet using the phone and reinstalled. Problem solved. Icon now appears on the home screen

  This error often occurs when one tries, while USB attached to a PC, use the PC/browser interface web AppWorld. I recommend untether and rather use the AW interface on the device.

• Deaths of Smartphones Blackberry Bold 900 blackBerry after trying to install any app from App World

  I was basically downloading an app in the App World software. Once the download is complete, a message pops up that says "install...". "More than half an hour later, the message was always on the screen and no amount of pressure button would not get the phone to answer. So I remove the battery, wait a few seconds, then reconnect it. The red light doesn't turn on, so I pressed the power button. Then pressed and held, nothing.

  I tried removing the battery and using only the wall charger but the phone still won't turn. Try the wall charger the battery will provide the same results.

  At this point, I'm sure that the phone is toast, but I hope that these forums can provide me with a solution.

  The phone was purchased on Ebay and works for several months now, so I can't return it to the seller. My warranty with the RIM will be still intact? AT & T will charge to repair me the phone or replace?

  Well, after having the battery on the phone all night, I decided to see if I could make it work.

  I plugged into the wall charger without the battery and the red light for the first time, then the phone power on. Doing a full power offshore, installed the battery and the SIM card and my phone works again.

  Still have no idea on what happened, but it works if I'm not complaining.
