Model Dreamweaver, renounce the error 'instancebegineditable tag inside the editable region.

I searched the internet and no matter what forum I can find about Dreamweaver and find the solutions that they don't did not help me, but there was a problem of command for many people. I created a template by following the steps via a tutorial from helpvid.net and the website looked very good to be pretty basic but since last night when I try save the model gives the error message "there is an error in line 8, column 47 (absolute position 789) of 'address of the file': InstanceBeginEditable tag inside the editable region.» Now from what I have read on the forums that means usually there is a spelling error or something placed inside the area when should not be, but there are only 50 odd lines on it and can't see any problem. When I view the files it gives error on, replicas of the editable 'start' there are has a number of times, but they shouldn't be there because they are not on the model. IM also conclusive that until this error came pages went well when downloaded, but now the footer height that has been set to 20px is 200px when downloaded and I check all coding for it so the Divs see but still no error. I downloaded my tempalete and some of the pages that mistakes about donations to see if that help, do not know if its better just stick wall of coding so sick message links to the files and if the code must be pasted here ill do it. http://dublinmoulding.com/ <-work im site, one can see the footer is very large. Should be 20px height but inspect element shows his 200px - #wrapper #footer {color: #FFF;}     height: 200px; The model is #wrapper #footer {color: #FFF;}     text-align: center;     margin: 0px;     do-size: 18px;     make-style: normal;     make-weight: lighter;     do-family: Arial, Helvetica, without serif.     padding-top: 5px;     padding-right: 0px;     padding-bottom: 5px;     padding-left: 0px;     height: 20px; http://dublinmoulding.com/dreamweaver/temp1.dwt <-my error tempalate is abandoned on pages created by using the template

* Update * I've edited file names of some of the pages I used the template on so now it shows as coding.

    I bought a HTML template several years and it works fine until I updated for Dreamweaver on creative cloud. I can still update the pages, but now I can't update a page template. I get the following error whenever I try to update a page template:

    My temporary solution was to go back to an older version of Dreamweaver (CS5) on an old Mac to make updates to the model. But I would like to solve this problem, so I can make changes in CC model.

    I wonder if this is related to the code Linting.  Maybe if you disable the Linting in preferences DW will leave an error appears when there seems to be none.

    Otherwise, try to restore preferences-

    Unusual behavior in Dreamweaver? Restore preferences.

    Or continue to use the previous version of DW with this model.

  • tables model moving in the edition of editible regions

    Hi there everyone,

    Have made a model. When you do not pages from the model and then by changing the editible regions, the tables are shifing and not return to place of origin, even when I click here and there to see if they will go back. Sometimes the paintings returned to the original location and other times they do not.

    Made sure when make editable regions as td and another table code is not included in the editible regions.

    What I'm asking is when make you a model, if the table code is not included in the editable regions, should orient themselves around tables?

    What do you think?

    All solutions?

    Thanks a lot to you all,.

    Hope

    You misunderstood, I use templates all the time, I do not use its tables too much more, but you seem to have a mistake here. You have completed your and started yourbut havea link and some css in there, which would cause problems.

    and there still

    I think the biggest problem seems to be that you have regions editable on the tables overlap.  I think that if you finished a table and the end of an editable region started your editable region and then started with a table charge, it must stay as you want, but since the tables is all interconnected, moving a line splitter or neck causes them all to move...

    The best solution, see if you can get out of the structure of the table and work with

  • The editable regions and Flash animation

    Hello

    I'm trying to insert a flash movie into an editable region of a page of the child, but I get the following error: "this change should change the code which is locked by a model or a translator. The changes will be rejected. »

    I read the previous posts on the same topic, but none of them does answer my question. I tried to create a new model and a child by him as a test by removing the css links (as someone suggested to do) to try to identify troubled css and I kept getting the same error in the new pages. I hope someone can help identify the problem and the solution. The area where I want to insert the movie is called "FinalMainContent".

    BTW, I don't know how to write the code... Sorry!

    Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

    OK, I thought about it: the problem is that in the window options, when I tried to insert Flash video, I ticked the box: 'invite users to download Flash Player if necessary.' It was not allowing me to insert. When I unchecked, the error message disappears. I guess, I have to add this option to download in a different way.

    Thank you for taking the time to answer. Much appreciated!

    If we try to update using the templates, we get the following error message:

    Is there a 'fix' for this?

    Thank you.

    Looks like you know what you're doing.

    Assuming your child pages are incorrect, try closing DW and open the problem page in a simple editor like Notepad or Simpletext ascii text, add in the missing name values (remember to use the proper case) and save & close them.

    Then see if DW is happy.

    (1) padding is only placed on the top and/or bottom of the divs. The elements contained in these divs have padding on their sides. This avoids any «mathematical model of box» Keep in mind, if you add lateral pads or border to the div itself, it will be added to the width that you set to create the * total width. You can also remove the padding of the element inside the div tag, and place a second div inside it with no width and padding necessary for your design.

    (2) no margin was given to the columns, because they all floated. If you need to add the margin, avoid placing on the side you're floating into (for example: a right margin on a div set to float to the right). Many times, padding can be used instead. For divs where this rule needs to be broken, you must add a statement of ' display: inline ' to the rule of the div to tame a bug where some versions of Internet Explorer double the margin.

    (3) given that the classes can be used several times in a document (and an element can also have several classes applied), the columns have received the names of classes instead of IDs. For example, two sidebar div could be stacked if necessary. These can easily be changed to the ID if that's your preference, as long as you don't use them once per document.

    (4) If you prefer your nav on the right instead of the left, simply float those columns as the opposite direction (straight instead of left all) and they will return in reverse order. There is no need to move the div in the HTML source code.

    Hello

    The 'content' div's style to have 100px in height and visible from overflow. So the text overflows the div, but the footer "ignores" / ignore it is positioned after 'sidebar2 '.

    Change the height of the 'content' to 100% and it should work.

    Kind regards

  • How can I create CSS for the editable regions in the documents based on templates?

    I created a template in Dreamweaver CS4 by using their set of 3 columns, header and Footer option available. The model works fine in the browser. I inserted an editable region in the empty middle of the model column. I created a new page based on this template and want to be able to format the text that I entered in the editable using CSS. Any time, I try to create a new CSS rule I get the following dialog:

    "This change should change the code which is locked by a model or a translator. The changes will be rejected. »

    Is it possible to create new CSS, which will apply to the information entered in the regions be modified of a document based on a template? Simple step by step instructions would be appreciated.

    Thanks for reading

    Do not know what is the 'id' of the middle column, but you must target the text inside that

    .

    Example:

    {#whatever}

    color: #639;

    do-size: 12px;

    }

    It is better if the text in the middle column is paragraphs and target you them as as follows:

    #whatever p {}

    color: #639;

    do-size: 12px;

    padding: 0 15px 15px 0 / * top, bottom, right, left * /.

    }

    You must make sure that you include the above in the editable page css region and HE MUST come after any link to the style sheet css main.

    If in doubt post the code for the page here and say what you want to be purple and I'll have a look.

    The tip is stop created with the css dialog box in DW, it's a load of bollocks and started writing some simple css directly in the page itself. It is easier and gives you more control than any interface automated half cooked in the oven.

    Start learning some simple css. There is absolutey zillions of resources on the net. A couple of hours well spent and your miles further. If you keep pressing DW to do everything for you, then I'm afraid you'll just be going around in circles.

    Enter the code and don't be afraid of him, take it apart and see how it works. Slowly step by step and little by little you will realize how simple structures are and how simple css really is.

  • Cannot change the editable regions-

    Hi people,

    I don't even know what to look for, so if this was taken over by all means please tell me here!

    Running on OS 10.4.9 DW8. I use templates in the redesign of the customer, and I implemented a region repeated inside a DIV. My problem is that when I change a file having this model, my cursor gives me the 'no sign' (circle with slash) when I fly over this area. I can change it in the Code and split mode, but I can't click the repeat region to add another element.

    This happens from time to time and I just did my work in Code view, but this time I need to click on the little sign of the repeat region to add a box in Design view.

    Is this a bug? Is there any solution for this?

    Hi Murray,

    I wish it was! Just a simple old DIV for a sidebar. As I was about to demonstrate by copy/paste code here... when I found the problem! I had a few renegade living in the CSS code (margin-bottom:-9999px) and now that happened I can click in the editable again.)

    Thanks Murray! :)

  • Difficulty in aligning the editable regions.

    I have a site that has two different regions editable on the page index, unlike the rest which are connected to a model. the problem I have is the two editable regions to automatically be the same height.

    There is a content area of left and right content area. The left content area doesn't have a lot of context in there, however, the right content area only. When I add more content to the content area on the right, it is already programmed automatically adjust the height, as it is the left content area. However, the problem is they essentially link together, so that they are both the same height. rather than having the left side more short and to the right the 'right' length touching the footer. Instead, I find myself with a gap between the left side and the footer. is there a way to "sync" with the right box's left content area content so that they are always the same height?

    Thank you!.. .and sorry if I do not have the correct terminology [I am a little new to this...]

    I'd appreciate any help! I launched the website for a local shop and need to get updated for the big sale of the weekend.

    Thanks again,

    -ali

    If you are using CSS for layouts, it's impossible.  Height of the DIV is determined by the amount of content you put in.  Well as a dysfunctional family, Divs don't talk to everyone, so no column knows that the other is.

    Background image to tones 2 in your wrapper page, and repeat-y (bottom of the page) to simulate the appearance of the columns of the same height.  This is known as Columns of fake.  See the link below for an example.

  • Use DreamWeaver after the editing of pages via another editior

    We had our site developed and used DreamWeaver developer.

    On one of our office system we have Dreamweaver installed and were able to see/Update pages through that.

    Recently, we made changes in Web site by another editor (as we have only 1 license of DreamWeaver).

    When we re - open these pages now with DreamWeaver we don't see as "squares" (special characters) instead of the actual content of the HTML files.

    What should we do in order to be able to use DreamWeaver again on these pages?

    Thank you.

    Dirk.

    The other editing program has probably saved the files in another encoding. Select modify > Page Properties, and then select title / encoding in the dialog box that opens. In the field of coding, select Unicode - UTF-8 and click on reload.

    If this does not resolve the problem, try to Western Europe.

  • Disappeared from the editable region

    I can't understand this. I created a template using nested tables. I had many tables available with tables nested inside them. One of the layout tables that I put as an editable disappeared.

    It occurred in a document that uses this model. Others who use the same model work very well, and shows in this region. It is only in a single document, it will not be displayed.

    When I look at the code, it's still there and I can change it, but it will not be displayed in the design view!

    Someone else had this problem? No one knows how to fix? It's driving me absolutely crazy.

    A table is structured as follows-

    ...

    for example, a pair of table tags which enclose a series of row of the table tags, each of
    tags contan table cells.

    You lost somehow table cell tags, and my change was to put back them
    in. I'll make you understand how this was done by the change, I have recommended.

    In addition, validation would have found this structural problem with your
    page in a Flash...

    Hi, whenever I try and save my file as template an error message appears saying: there is an error on line 165, column 8 (absolute position 6235): duplicate regions editable name 'Document Head. "

    You get the error message should be translated as follows "Oops - your code is a mess."

  • Can log in fine, are there of the editable regions, but ice allow me to change!

    Hello

    I'm using version CS4 of ice and DW. I have configured my site properly, and it connects fine. I also created an area of text editable by the ICE and made sure that all the options (fonts, hyperlinks, etc.) have been verified. I have downloaded the page (index.html) and connected and configured everything, then click 'edit page' - of course, my changeable ice is selected, and I can move the cursor inside...

    ... However, I can't edit any text or add hyperlinks and images... the buttons are grayed essentially, and I have no idea why. I am at a loss. Help, please! Thank you

    Nathan

    PS. my site is www.drunknomad.com

    In DW4, select the DIV you want to make editable... then you must select at least one option in the properties and allow it to be editable.

    In its current form nw, you have nothing selected. If 'Check you all' it will change the line in your code for:

    Good luck

  • I just created my first form and saved as a PDF file. The editable regions have a blue background color and I would like to change that. Can it be done?

    Hi guys I just created my new form and it was very easy. However once I convert it to PDF format the boxes in the form are blue and I would like to change the color. any know if this is possible?

    The blue background is the field pointing out you have the option to turn off. If you don't see the purple bar on top with the toggle button to highlight the fields, it should display by clicking on the icon above (purplish) in the left navigation pane
