    Problem:

Recently, I decided to upgrade my Pavilion TS 15n-070sa processor. However, I took soon a problem after having disassembled my hard drive, due to the fact the processor is soldered to the Board rather than just locked to it. Then, I got a glance in the maintenance and service guide, which made me think that the other portable Pavilion TS 15 could have the same shape of the investment just (perhaps) with a better processor and motherboard. However, I am still not sure of the fact that last and that's why I came here to ask where I could get a replacement and a better motherboard for my laptop.

It would be the best motherboard:

    AMD A10 - 5745 M 8670 M 2.9 GHz/2.1 GHz (2 GB L2, 1333 MHz DDR3L Quad 25 W) for use with Standard Windows. 734824 501

    Hello

    You should find the Manual:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02659236.PDF

Then locate the major components, description and computer see the reference number of the Law Commission. You have a laptop with a built-in onboard vga (UMA), then the reference is 595135-001.

However, you could actually move the laptop to a dedicated vga ATI Radeon HD 6550.

For use on computer models equipped with a graphics subsystem with dedicated memory and chipset HD 6550:

631082-001. This requires a new heatsink:

For use on computer models equipped with graphics subsystems with discrete memory 606575-001.

This means that if you buy a different Board and a heat sink, you might have a better graphics card.

  • is the GPU of NVIDIA chip on the motherboard for HP Pavilion dv9420us

My HP Pavilion DV9420us just went 'all white' and now won't show anything.  It also keeps cycling on and outside.

I just read that a class action has been filed last year (2010) against NVIDIA on GPU chipset.  It's time to add my complaint to the trial.

So, as my laptop is 'dead' anyway, I want to replace the GPU NVIDA myself.  I know that it is on a 'table', so I have to replace the Board on what it is.

My questions are: is this on the motherboard? or on a separate Panel? When I opened the laptop, the chip is identified as "NVIDIA" blah, blah, blah?

I have built office machines and have replaced a video screen on another laptop, so I am familiar with the "inner".

Just like get some info before I try this.

I have a device to get "dead" files on HARD drive, but when I looked at the pins of the connector on the HARD drive (2), they are 90 ° to the HD and separated, very different from a 'normal' laptop HD where the stems come out all right.

I found a place on the WEB that has a motherboard for my laptop, about $165.

    Any info will be appreciated.

    Thank you for your time.

    Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.  You will need to replace the mother board to replace the video card. See Chapter 5 for removal and replacement procedures.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01311536.PDF

I'm sure it's a standard SATA HDD and you just have to remove the adapter in.

In any case, Chapter 5 provides procedures for withdrawal and replacement for that too.

  • replacing the motherboard for hp pavilion

I have a HP Pavilion model a4316f. The system no longer recognizes any of the readers. This system

has a motherboard Violet 6 and from what I read in the forums, this is a common problem. If I replace

the motherboard with another motherboard of violet 6 will be provided with recovery disks the

system still works? If not, what are my options, do not want to buy the software after buying the motherboard

for a 4 year old computer.

    Thank you

You must send the motherboard to HP or an authorized service center for tattooing the BIOS/CMOS with your information system, if you want to use your HP recovery disks in the future.

Alternatively, if you can still read the product key 25 character Windows on the Microsoft COA (see example below) attached to the computer, you can install Windows 7 using this key.

Please see "how to install Windows 7 without the disc" to get instructions on how to download Windows 7 SP1, create the installation media and install Windows 7 SP1 using the 25-digit key from the COA Microsoft on your computer. • update the BIOS of motherboard for HP Pavilion M7570n and now my computer going in circles

I have a HP Pavilion - XP or version of the original software m7570n!

    Motherboard is HP/Compaq name: Leucite-UL8E

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00714544

I downloaded and installed from HP website: update the BIOS of motherboard P5LP - THE

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=PV-54482-1&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&...

Now my computer boots into a circle.  It begins... window XP blink... I can see a quick blue screen and some info, but too fast to read... then at startup mode without failure, etc, etc, etc! Each option piced it goes back to the circle of frustration.

I entered F1 and set it for return to the settings by default, but who has not set.  I see several suggestions to pull CMOS jumpers, but fear just start riders pulling and causing damage.

Someone can give me a step by step repair to understand where and how update BIOS software... is so simple that all reinstall the same file again?  I have the origianl file downloaded on my USB key.  I'm not comfortable with moving forward in fear of more damage!

THANKS FOR ANY HELP IN ADVANCE!

    TIM

    NOW FOR THE FINAL SOLUTION:

Google is my - so true!  I did google how to reflash the BIOs, but I kept? How I was going to do when I've never seen a 'USB key' as an option in the BIOs boot sequence.  I then looked to do the 'flash' of a CD - with the boot BACK on it, files but everywhere I read on line discussing this method - said most flash programs require you to save first the old BIOs files - you can't do from the BACK / BIO Flash or at least I haven't found a way to BACK startup disk!

NOW, I'M TOTALLY FRUSTRATED!  Now what should I do?  I knew that the 'blue screen of death"contained the error message that I need to know! I just need to read it, but I couldn't because it flashes in a fraction of a second? GRRRRRRRRRR

WELL!  I grabbed my digital camera Sony - put on 'SPEED' shot!  I started the computer and kept shooting until I captured the screen!  The error message was "0x0000007B"!

I googled the error message and found this site:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerrormessage/a/stop0x0000007b.htm

I have read on the list of options and decided that the setting in the BIOs should be where I wanted to start.  I changed the setting for the "RAID" to FDI HHD... BINGO!  I'm back in the game!

SO THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND TAKE THIS INTO ACCOUNT FOR FUTURE TECH SUPPORT QUESTIONS!

  • I want to disable the motherboard for a Pavilion p6232p video driver

I need to turn off or disable the driver for the card on mother built in video card in a p6232p of Pavalion.

The manufacturers motherboard is an Asus IPIBL-LB

I bought a GE Force 620 Nivida GT video card. I installed it. Then, I ordered a 400 watt power supply to replace the 300 watts delivered with the p6232p. I put everything back together and then I read the installation

Once again the instructions and I saw that everything built the onboard video drivers supplied with the p6232p had to be disabled. I was frustrated and hung on my monitor for the new card (Nividia GT 620).

I booted up and everything worked fine. I then installed the CD supplied with the card and it worked as well. BUT! the installation instructions were to remove the old video card or disable any motherboard built

among drivers. So, that's what worry me because when I started first with the new pc card took control without any installation disc. There is no connection to the old pc blue monitor connector. Maybe I could check the list of devices to see if the drivers are always active. Thank you for your response, cajanpepper

    moonbreaker88

Hello moonbreaker 88, The Asus boards have VIA VT1708S audio chip on the motherboard. I was never a fan of VIA products. There must be a good reason, that asus has chosen VIA on Realtek, and VIA can produce better products now. All audio chips aboard are not known for the best audio quality. You can consider getting a nice quality audio addon card, if you need better. Each user has an expectation of what good audio quality is for them.

You can always try the integrated audio system, and if she does not meet your expectations, you might find an audio device of the addon. It would be more profitable for your upgrade.

I used almost all motherboards popular over the years, and most of my experiences have been good. I had a few motherboards fail. I had less problems with Asus cards than any of the others, with on-board peripheral network are on two Asus Motherboards. I just disabled the devices embedded network failed in the BIOS and installing a card network addon and all was fine. A part of ten dollars and compensation for ten minutes.

Motherboards are like most other things in life. They are really more of one personal preference than any other thing. Most motherboards produced today is products of quality with very little flaws. There are some that would apply, as we all know.

I hope that everything goes well for you with your upgrade.

Your laptop was never to be a gamer. It has the Intel HD 3000 graphics that are not discrete. It's UMA which means short graphic rendering in system memory. Discreet, it is what you want and this means that the video card has its own separate memory. That's the best advice that would not force allows you to replace the processor:

For use only with models of computer with a processor dual core, Intel HD6770 graphics subsystem and 2048 MB of memory discreet 650800-001

    Now, the bad news:

    1. this Commission is stupid cheap:

$252... the price of the Exchange is only if you have a defective Board of the same kind to send.

    2. I could be off base here, but I think if you are unsure what discrete memory is then trying to replace a motherboard for laptop is probably something you have done hire and figure another $150 it.

    3. even the jury of 'best' is always a sort of thing of lower midrange and you are not happy with it after spending $ 400 to upgrade.

Your best thing to do is to sell your laptop and buy a new one.
