Move the taskbar... How?

The taskbar with the Start button on it is located to the right of my screen.  It is usually at the bottom.  How can I move it back?  Please help me?  Thank you.

If it does not move, it can be locked. In this case, right click on it
and uncheck "Lock the taskbar", then try again.

    Hello

    try to do this:

    To unlock the taskbar

Right-click an empty space on the taskbar. If Lock the taskbar has a check mark next to it, the taskbar is locked. You can unlock it by clicking Lock the taskbar, which removes the check mark.

    To move the taskbar

Click an empty space on the taskbar, and then hold down the mouse button as you drag the taskbar to one of the four edges of the desktop. When the taskbar is where you want it, release the mouse button.

    Note

To lock the taskbar into place, right-click an empty space on the taskbar, and then click Lock the taskbar so that the check mark appears. Locking the taskbar helps prevent it being moved or resized accidentally.

First, make sure the taskbar don't are not "locked"...
Right-click on an open space of the taskbar > make sure there is no checkmark at "lock the taskbar".

Now, make a left click inside of a space open to the taskbar and HOLD > drag the slider down until he goes back down > drop PREY > lock the taskbar. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

    Hello

You don't say what operating system you use, but the method is the same.

  • Inability to move the taskbar on the right side down.

While only on-line, the taskbar moved suddenly from the bottom to the right.  I have a click right and verified that the task of locking bar selection was not checked.  I have a touchpad on my laptop.  I left clicked on an empty space on the taskbar and created an arrow up and down.  I held the left click and tried to move the taskbar to the bottom with the touchpad, but it should not move.  I stopped and restarted but the taskbar are always on the right side.

    > created an arrow up and down

No you don't. It is only to "expand" the width of the taskbar.
You left click inside of the taskbar and HOLD > drag the slider down, down > drop prey when done > lock the taskbar.

If the above still does not help, do a system restore. Choice of the date when your taskbar down as your restore point.

Start button > Search box, type system restore > press the Enter key > uac prompt > click on choose a different restore point > next > select dates as your restore point, until the click > next > finish
To sit and wait. The machine restarts when it's done.

Sorry, but I'm not sure what you asking on the subject. What is the taskbar
    you want to move?

Although by default, the taskbar is displayed on the bottom of the screen,
It can be on any of the sides on what you prefer. To move any
side to side, simply click an unused portion and drag
where you want it. Don't forget to click inside it, not on the edge.
by clicking on the edge and dragging will resize not move.

If it does not move, it can be locked. In this case, right click on it
and uncheck "Lock the taskbar", then try again.

Moreover, with the screen monitors wide today, I prefer the taskbar
on the left or the right of the screen. I think that allows a better
use of real estate than have it at the bottom of screen.

  • How to move the taskbar from being vertical on the right horizontally along the bottom of the screen?

I did something stupid that caused the bar which is normally at the bottom of my screen with the button 'Start' to the left, move to a vertical bar to the right. How can I get this back to where it should be?

Right click on the bar and select lock the taskbar. It should not have a check mark next to the left. If there is a tick, click it again.

Then drag it to the bottom. Once completed, lock the taskbar.

    Hope that helps,
