Movement of cursor eratic with Word 2007

Hello Gloria!
I'm doing knowledge with my new HP Compaq and Word 2007.  While I'm typing a normal document, blow and unexplainedly (at least for me) the cursor will move to everywhere else in the document.  At first I thought it must be me, so I looked at my typing very carefully.  Sometimes it was me, but often it was not.  It's very annoying to have a slider with a mind of its own.  I never had this problem with my old computer HP and Word 2003 (which I think I prefer).  Could you help me please?
In addition, you get paid for this?  If solve you my problem, I'd be happy to send you a cheque for $10.  (I'm not exactly rolling in the dough.)
Thank you 1 million,
Tom Milliken

  • Word 2007 to PDF with the background color

    Hello

We have a Word 2007 document that has a blue background and white fonts.

When we print in PDF format, we can see only the blue background and fonts are NOT visible

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!!!

    Well, now I'm confused .

    Following your directions:
--| Opens a new DOCX with Word 2007 and saved
--| then, from the Page Layout Ribbon; Page color > dark blue theme of Coler (top row, 4th from left)
--| entered the text (with creativity, I entered "this page has a blue background)
This text was the default font color (black)
--| selected in the text string, right-click for the context menu, 'Police' selected
--| in the dialog box font, use the "Font color" dropdown to change font color
--| chose "white" (top left of selection among the colors of theme)
--| the Acrobat Ribbon, open preferences
    --| used my default configuration:
--| Settings tab: all selected except - create PDF/A-1a 2005 compatible file & join a source file
--| Security tab: failure to add-in (nothing selected)
--| Tab Word: first choice not selected; two other selected
--| Tab bookmarks: first and third chosen, second not selected
--| Video: as-is with the default selections

--| clicked on create PDF & save
--| PDF output: page background is blue dark; font color is white & easily visualized.

    FWIW-

  • Vista and Word 2007

I have a new 64-bit Vista and Office system with word 2007.  When I e a Word Document, it cannot be opened on the other XP or other messaging systems.

    Hi Montego528,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

Other systems you listed in your post, are running the same version of word that you have (for example MS Word 2007) or they are running something more low (for example MS word 2003).  Cannot open documents that were created using MS word 2007 with a weaker version of this software. However, to resolve this problem, you can either get a copy of MS office 2007 for

Microsoft Store online or you can download the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack that will allow you to open a previous version.

We hope this resolves the issue and look forward to hearing back from you on your results.

  • Word 2007/XP Pro. Cannot print on HP2100. Can print from other Office 2007.

The printer is on a network. Problem is only with Word 2007. Excel, notepad, and wordpad print OK. I've changed the only version of the normal.dot file, I was able to find in normal.old, but that's not to cure the problem.

    Panic at the wire.
I deleted and reinstalled the printer and it worked fine.
Maybe the printer has been installed first before loading MS Office 2007, but do not know which came first.

  • Acrobat Pro 9.1 creates is no longer a PDF from Word 2007

I upgraded from Acrobat 7 to 9, specifically to better control the parameters when PDFs from Word 2007. It worked as I had hoped until the upgrade of 9.1 vulnerability has been installed. Now it is no longer will create a PDF from Word 2007 documents at all.

Of in Word 2007, when I click on "Create a PDF file" (be it in the Office menu or a toolbar of Acrobat) he asked a file name, but when I click on 'Save' has no effect. This is true even for the simplest possible document with the settings "By default" PDF "Preferences".

If I click with the right button on the name of the document file in Windows Explorer, with Word 2007 closed and click on "Convert to Adobe PDF" in the menu, it starts and the box of staus comes up, but after a few seconds stops and displays "an unexpected error has occurred. PDFMaker is impossible to produce the PDF from Adobe. »

I can still "save under" PDF in Word 2007, but this gives me little control over the format.

Is it possible I can get Acrobat 9.1 doing what I bought, and that Adobe announced it will do?

Are you able to create a PDF using the button from other applications such as PowerPoint?

One solution might be to run 'Fix' on the installation of Acrobat.

  • I changed something with my page, and now I have to move my cursor all the way to the top to get home, bookmarks or the close button

the URL line is also hidden until I scroll all the way to the top.

Looks like you are using full-screen.

    • F11 will toggle the Mode full screen or not.
    • Another way to exit full screen, when you move your cursor to the top of the screen, toolbars 'slide' down; Move your cursor over an empty spot on one of the toolbars, right click and click on "exit full screen".

This update provides the latest fixes for Office Word 2007. Additionally, this update contains improvements in stability and performance for Office Word 2007.

    anesvet,
I'm going to sound like I'm repeating myself tonight... (see previous 4 posts...)  but try this:

When you start start pressing F8 until you get the Windows startup options.  Then try "Last known good configuration" see if that helps.  If this does not work, try to F * then try to go to Safe Mode.  If those who do not help, I would start with your XP CD to recovery mode and run "chkdsk/r" then "sfc/scannow".  QQ learn manage!

  • Internet Explorer 9 is having conflicts with Office 2007. When IE 9 is open, I can't copy or paste in Word and Excel.

Internet Explorer 9 is having conflicts with Office 2007. When IE 9 is open, I can't copy or paste in Excel, Word, PPT correctly. The format does not.  I can not format painter at all. It is a recent behavior, since he did not like that 3 weeks ago.

If I close IE 9, Office programs work perfect.  So everything indicates that a compatibility issue with Office 2007 is present when Internet Explorer is opened.

I can't associate the recent behavior with any recent download that could create conflict, but perhaps he started after an automatic update of Windows.

  • Pdf creation from Word 2007 with the layout, the 'Landscape' Orientation and document Pages, 'two pages per sheet.

I am trying to create a PDF from a Word 2007 document with the layout, the 'Landscape' Orientation and Pages, 'two pages per sheet.  The document was created in Word 2003.  The entire document is four "pages" long, but each of these "pages" is half of an 8 1/2 x 11.  So it's really a pages document two and prints on only two sheets of letter size paper.

Acrobat does not seem to 'see' this document is set up to have two pages per sheet, is it really just a two-page document.  He created a four-page pdf file.

It arrived not with Word 2003.  The pdf file created from this version is an exact copy of the document word - two pages.
