Movement of tab is buggy

Hello, I use a few months Firefox Beta, the instant version 37 for Android.
There is this gesture swipe horizontally on a tab and switch tabs:

https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/use-gestures-in-Firefox-Android
and here:
For Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and more: you can also drag left and right on the screen great for browse the three tabs.

But it is a pain in the glass! The gesture is not only horizontally, but also almost vertical, so almost whenever I want a site, scroll down to move to the tab gesture is wrongly recognized and tab is gone, I have to switch back.

I'm on Samsung Galaxy S4 with 4.4.2 (root).

It would be a great help if it would be possible to simply disable this gesture in the settings or by any add-on, because it is most disruptive bug in version beta of Firefox for Android.

Frank

Firefox for Android doesn't have a tab switch the gesture. Documentation points out a way to switch between the the subject: views for bookmarks, history, tabs and top sites other home devices.

    You already have a userChrome.css file to change the user interface of Firefox? It is the only other method that comes to mind to hide a menu item. You can find such a file in this way:

    Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

    In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

    Look for a folder named chrome , and if you find it, click on inside.

    Any userChrome.css file here? If so, you can open in a text editor and view its contents to see if it looks familiar.

    Or maybe your program files have been damaged in the upgrade. This happens from time to time, with unpredictable results. To remedy this situation, I would suggest:

    Clean reinstall it

    We use this name, but it isn't about deleting your settings, this is to ensure that the program, files are clean (no incompatible or exotic code files). As described below, this process does not disrupt your existing settings. Don't uninstall NOT Firefox, that does not need.

    (1) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 38.0.5 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

    (2) close Firefox (if applicable).

    (3) to rename the program folder:

    (Windows 64-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox

    (Windows 32-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files\OldFirefox

    (4) run the installer you downloaded in the #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

    You can get reinstalled Firefox?

    Note: Some plugins can only exist in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

    • \OldFirefox\Plugins

    I don't want to download an application. I would rather add a new string in any config or just change those there to false. It makes my life as a rather hard work, to be forced to go all the way back at the end of my list after you move a tab just to have to do it again. I mean it's to the point where I could consider changing browsers if they had tab scrollbars.

    Edit: Now I will download any application. Please stop this stupid feature.

    I downloaded the beta version and it stopped. Thank you all for trying to help anyway. I probably didn't explain my problem very well in the first place, but you tried to help him. Thank you.

  • How can I move the tab bar to the bottom, and how can I get my reload and stop buttons back?

    The new version of Firefox are repositioned my bar tabs at the top and I can't move it to the bottom. I tried everything: config, but browser.tabs.ontop was already set to false - very curious, because this should have resolved my problem in the first place.

    In the new version of Firefox, I can't get my reload and stop buttons back once again.

    Hi narab.

    You can use the classic theme restaurateur to bring all back them again. You can find more details here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-make-new-firefox-look-like-old-firefox

  • How can I move the tabs under the address in linux/FF 24 bar?

  • How to move the tab back bar upstairs in Firefox 11?

    Just installed Firefox v.11 (via downloaded .exe) on a Win7 installation (formatted hard drive). During the configuration of all of this, I remember by clicking on a kind of switch that sets the bar tabs at the bottom of my screen. I want to move it to the top, where it was originally, but I can't find this switch/case.

      It is not in any Options that I can see. Tools>Options>nothing found. Where is it? How do I get there?
      Thanks for your help and indulgence.

    PS. Firefox is better then chrome.

    Firefox normally positioned tab bar at the top of the screen.

    If you have the bar tabs at the bottom while the function is added by an extension and you should check the settings in your extensions if you don't know who's providing it.

  • How can I move App Tabs down, where are the other bookmark toolbars? Or, how can I put my toolbars on two rows bookmarks and forget the App Tabs?

    I have several bookmarks in my toolbar, and my most often used found in a drop down menu, which is annoying. I have tried to click and drag on the menu bar, there was room for more icons, but they didn't budge. Anything under the "toolbar" has been helpful. Help tell me do right click on my toolbar and then click on 'Customize'... which did not come as an option. I would like to really all my favorites toolbar (I have about 10) or real on the toolbar visible, not hidden in a small dropdown tab menu.
    There is a plug-in that allows you to put bookmarks in two rows on your toolbars, but it is not compatible with my version of FF (7.0.1).
    App Tabs are cute, but I don't like them on top where they take place where I have the legs for various open websites (I usually opened several at once). App Tabs are fixed and do not move as site tabs, which is extremely annoying and so why I 1) want to move to the bottom of the toolbar or 2) be able to view all my bookmarks toolbars - which is what I prefer.
    BTW, I have Windows 7.
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    App tabs are special tablets and are always displayed at the left end of the tab bar.

    You can place all the bookmarks that you want to see the toolbar of bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbar folder.

    You can do this in the sidebar or the Manager of bookmarks if you can't do it on the bookmarks toolbar.

    Most visited is a special file (smart) which shows the websites that you have visited and are not necessarily Favorites, so you can not drag on the personal bar unless you first to bookmark the. You can make it open in a tab by clicking on Star on location bar twice and choose the toolbar of bookmarks as destination folder.

  • Move the tab bar to below the address bar?

    Hello

    I just upgraded to FF4, and now the tab bar is just up the top of FF. In my previous version (3.6.something), it was above the web page area, below the address bar.

    I can move it to the bottom? I find this disconcerting whether if far away pages that I consult.

    Thank you

    View > toolbars and UNCHECK the option "Tab" at the top

  • Is it possible to move the tabs under the address bar? Or at least the bar bookmarks on top of address bar?

    I really have problems with using eye of the new presentation of Firefox. What I'd really like to do, is to move tabs so that they are under the address bar.

    If this is not possible, is there a way to move the bookmarks bar in the address bar? Please don't direct me to the toolbars of edition, I would like to change their location.

    Thank you!

    Right-click on a toolbar, and then click the entry "Tabs" at the top to deselect the it.

  • 'Ctrl + End' keyboard shortcut does not work as expected. I tried safe mode. does not move the tab to the end of such specified list, just scroll to the end of the page.

    According to http://support.mozilla.com/en-us/kb/keyboard+shortcuts,.
    'Ctrl + End' should move the active tab to the end of the list of tabs.

    But the shortcut does not work. Only, it scrolls to the end of the current page as if only "End" is pressed.

    I tried the mode without failure of firefox and closed all other open programs.

    What to do to debug this problem?
    or may there is a bug in firefox somehow?

  • Do not move the tabs beyond first attempt

    I have five tabs (moviclips). On the first interaction, it moves to the appropriate tab, but it does not subsequently. Here is the code:

    Stop();

    taba.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, gotaba);

    tabb.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, gotabb);

    tabc.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, gotabc);

    tabd.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, gotabd);

    tabe.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, gotabe);

    function gotaba(event:MouseEvent):void {}

    gotoAndStop (1);

    }

    function gotabb(event:MouseEvent):void {}

    gotoAndStop (2);

    }

    function gotabc(event:MouseEvent):void {}

    gotoAndStop (3);

    }

    function gotabd(event:MouseEvent):void {}

    gotoAndStop (4);

    }

    function gotabe(event:MouseEvent):void {}

    gotoAndStop (5);

    }

    See the swf file is not helping to explain how you built the timeline, he demos only the problem.  As I said, if you have new keyframes, then you must add new headphones of events for each image.   To avoid having to do so, it would be easier if you have only a keyframe in frame 1 and extend to all 5 images.  This way you have only a single instance of the buttons you need to the code.
