How to move the tab back bar upstairs in Firefox 11?

Just installed Firefox v.11 (via downloaded .exe) on a Win7 installation (formatted hard drive). During the configuration of all of this, I remember by clicking on a kind of switch that sets the bar tabs at the bottom of my screen. I want to move it to the top, where it was originally, but I can't find this switch/case.

It is not in any Options that I can see. Tools>Options>nothing found. Where is it? How do I get there?
Thanks for your help and indulgence.

PS. Firefox is better then chrome.

Firefox normally positioned tab bar at the top of the screen.

If you have the bar tabs at the bottom while the function is added by an extension and you should check the settings in your extensions if you don't know who's providing it.

I found a solution. If you go in Subject: config, then find the browser.search.showOneOffButtons boolean and rocking that it restores the old functionality. (You may have to restart your browser)

Note that, as always, to edit your subject: config at your own risk.

  • How to stop the tab 'Getting started with Mozilla Firefox' to open every time I open FF?

Everytime I open FF, the tab "Getting started with Mozilla Firefox" opens. I checked and it is not in my list of homepage.

If I open any additional windows, it does not open.

But, once I close all the and reopen it again, the tab opens.

I had a similar problem with some addons (ietab) do the same thing.

I found the fix for it.

About: config, filter for 'Start '

Ones you want to should appear at the bottom.

    Startup.homepage_override_url and startup.homepage_welcome_url

Double-click on each one and delete the text string. Close and reopen the window to check that it worked.

As I deleted them both at the same time, I'm not sure who was the culprit. So, I suggest starting by striking first and tests before deleting this one.

  • How to move the url (address bar) entry in the tab menu (firefox 29)?

Old firefox (-28) allows the join tab bar and the bar of address together, saving space.
Help the new kill version (29) who is not the feature and even classical Restorer theme.

Please allow to move the buttons/address to the tab bar, because now Firefox eat all my precious screen space.

With Classic restaurateur theme installed, I have no problem moving items to toolbar navigation on the tab bar (see the attached screenshot).

If you encounter problems with this add-on, you refer to the thread support on third-party MozillaZine site.

Alternatively, you can try the add-on following, but it has not been updated in a long time, so it can be buggy.

Any chance that you define the many tabs as your 'home page' opens automatically when you start Firefox?

Reduce the tabs in closing those that you do not want, then click on Tools / Options / general and click the use current Pages button.

Next time you open, you will see only those active tabs.

How to access the tab 'Save all' when I close several jpeg files that have been adjusted with the "color adjust tool? He is currently making me close and save one at a time.  I've just upgraded to El Capitan.  Thanks for any help :)

I assume that you use the application overview.

I can't find an answer to back up everything, but a workaround could be while the file menu options are visible, press the option key

and the point of the window will become close, if you click on that dialogue will ask you if you want to restore the changes or save

pressing Save will close the image with the changes and then move to the next image and so on.

  • Nothing I find works, don't not even your solutions, I wan't to restore my page of the tab back to "on: newtab ' but I can't, even when I go in" subject: config.

Everything I try does not help, when I press the new tab button it always shows the "AVG safe Search" page, without worrying if I'm going in: config and change browser.newtab.url or whatever he is called back to the default value. I used the thing to restore research as well. nothing works. Can I change my homepage, but I do not honestly what is my homepage, I want my new page of the tab back to normal. The only thing I thought that work was a message that appeared in the corner saying "Restore default new tab page" I have until it clicks, translating the french text block, agree and then open a new browser and a new tab to see if it worked. It does not work. I don't know what to do, I want the page default new tab back.

You can disable any extension on the page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then on the side right, enabled extensions are listed alphabetically, with extensions disabled downstairs.

Often, a link will appear above when you disable an extension to restart Firefox. If you disable multiple extensions, you can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

Is that what helps you regain control of your new tab page?

  • How to change the tab order of an array of clusters?

How to change the tab order of an array of clusters?  I have the cluster arranged into a table in the front panel.   The element of the cluster passes horizontal and array element passes vertically.   When I press the tab key, the cursor will move to the item next to the table instead of the next item in the cluster (down to the place overall).

so you have an array of clusters or cluster and the separate table?

  • How to move the FILE from one place to another and keep "Indexing" have to move to the unknown location so you can't discover its full file path? Windows instructions provide information wrong re: how to do this!

Make a bunch of audio files, placed in a folder on my desktop. Files initially sent to RealPlayer to burn, but when finished burning CD and went to read a CD, folder got seized by Media Player, 'Indexed' and disappeared from the office. I'm a relatively new computer user, and I need to learn more about file paths, how to view the path FULL of a file on my computer and how to type (create) full path when I need to. The "Indexing" feature seems to erase this lesson for me, and after having spent four hours trying to find Vista instructions on "How to move the file from one place to another", I gave up! Windows 'Help and Support' on my computer gives wrong directions. It states that if I right click on a folder > properties, a dialog box opens with a tab by which I can move my account. There is no tab location here. I found locations tab when right click on the "Mobile" folder, but still no option to "move file". No idea what is the folder "Roaming" or why it's on my computer. I want my audio files in the My Music folder, but this place is "access denied." Don't know how to get the audio file it in any case, but if anyone has any advice, I would be very happy! Thank you. PS - I had no problem moving folders in XP. I don't like the idea that a computer is to decide where to put my files. I want to control where I put my files. I don't like the way search works under Vista. I liked the XP search companion better because, for a computer fool like me, it was really easy to organize and find files and folders and had an option specific to find audio and video file TYPES.

If you have trouble with the search after you move the files, then rebuild the index: http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/2103/vista_rebuilding_the_search_index/.  Here is an article on how to use Indexing Options in Vista that may be useful for you: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/69581-indexing-options.html.

  • Can W7 \64 bit\FF42.0\How I move the profiles?

Everything seems to work perfectly. But I realized that I should be able to find how to move my profile to another drive on my computer somewhere in the profile itself. I've looked everywhere I can think of and can't find this info. If you can tell me where it is, maybe I can manage. But if not, can you tell me how to move the profiles? My os is Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I am running Firefox 42.0. Your guesses are all correct, except that I'm not sure about the plugin from Adobe. Thanks for any help.

You can use the Profile Manager to create a new profile on a different hard drive folder by clicking on the button "choose a folder.
Be sure to select a new empty file and not a folder that already contains files.

You can transfer files from the current profile folder to this folder.
