Moving and copying the files in Bridge v4.0.4.2

Bridge CS5 crashes whenenver I want to move or copy files. No matter if I drag & drop, or use copy and paste.

I tried to correct using the advice of a previous request made a few years ago, but it does not improve the situation.

I use Windows 7 with bags of memory.

I've never heard of this bug. I suspect it is nothing to do with the bridge and more likely bridge reacting badly to a flaw in the filing system.

If I were you, I would do a full control the integrity of the filing system, but also to see things like network / mapped drives, drives external and software driver and possibly anti-virus software - basically nothing that changes the behavior of the operating system.

    Hello

    1. In Windows Explorer, right-click the file or folder you want to work with.
    2. In the context menu, select properties and then in the Properties dialog box, click the Security tab.

    3. In the name list box, select the user, contact, computer, or group to which you want to display permissions. If the permissions are grayed out, this means that the permissions are inherited from a parent object.

  • Copy and paste the files in Bridge...

    Hello

I think it's a bug - but maybe I'm wrong and only I can not find the right option at the moment, but:

If I select a photo in Bridge and copy it (Edition-> copy or CTRL + C) and want to paste elsewhere, for example in Windows Explorer, the photo does not appear to be on the Clipboard.

I know that there is a solution to the context menu or "move to...". "and" copy to... ". "... but which is not the same. Workaround has no short cut, and very often I opened the folder target in another window (explorer) and do not want to go all the way down to her through the "copy to...". ».

Also, I read in some messages that I see only the "thumbnails" in bridge and so I can't copy the file... But I can't believe that - in other programs (e.g. Windows Explorer), I also see a Visual representation of a file (a bunch of pixels) that I can perfectly copy/paste as a real object. So bridge knows the file - why not support copy / paste of it?

    Thank you

... How it works now. But this does not mean that it could not be changed. I would also greatly appreciate the ability to normally cut / copy-> paste the bridge as with any other regular file browser. Maybe this thread should be moved in the suggestion Board?

  • I created a new profile and copied the files from my old computer inside firefox. How do the new profile, just delete the old one?

I am running windows 7, I had to recover my files on an external hard drive when my old computer crashed. I created a new profile as described in the Web site of firefox and copied all the files into it. I just need to know how to use the new profile when I open firefox, just delete the old profile? Or do I have to reinstall firefox.

If you no longer have need or intention to use this older profile, then you can use the Profile Manager to delete this profile and delete the files.

  • Download and copy the files using PLSQL.

    Hi all

Can the package UTL allows you to download any file data local to the server?
Or is it an integrated package that can be used to upload files to the server and copy files to another directory?

    Thanks in advance.

    Benoit says:

    UTL_FILE is standard file i/o.

Or is it an integrated package that can be used to upload files to the server and copy files to another directory?

UTL_TCP provides a tcp socket interface client. This can be used as an FTP client. Utl_http provides a web browser client-the box of files can also be sent by e-mail with UTL_SMTP and UTL_MAIL.

You should also ask if the code from PL/SQL Server acting as a client to push a file to a server, adapts the architecture of the application at hand.

  • I am unable to open and copy the file encrypted after formatting my computer

I just format my computer before formatting, I take any backup of the drive c. but 1 file is encrypted on my backup now, I'm unable to decrypt this file and is also impossible to copy and open this folder. Please help me with this.

I assume you have XP Pro and that you encrypted files by using the Encrypting File System (EFS).  When you use EFS, the these files decryption key is stored encrypted with your certificate store.  When you use EFS, you * MUST * back up your certificates or risk permanently losing access to your encrypted files.  Details are provided in this article which is required reading if you use EFS:

"Best Practices for encrypting file system"

Jump down to the paragraph "why you should back up your certificates.
Line background here, is that you have two options to recover the access to these files.  The first is to restore your certificate from the backup of the certificate that you created by the article above before you reformat your computer.  The second option is to completely restore your previous system from a backup of the image-style you did your system before reformatting and reinstalling.  Otherwise, I fear that you have permanenty lost access to these files.

EFS is affectionately known as the 'Recycle Bin delay' in this forum.

You can't do it without third-party software. Just go back and
    Copy the file (a).

  • NEED TO MERGE TWO ADMINISTRATIVE ACCOUNTS AND ALL THE FILES IN XP - NO WINDOWS 7! CANNOT FIND TRANSFER IFTO ANYWHERE.

I desperately need to merge two administrative accounts on my laptop - using XP and NOT windows 7 (so there is no transfer Assistant). I need to transfer all of the OLD admin. account in the NEW Admin account.

For the full backup used Carbonite - due erase hard drive and reinstall XP - carbonite cust. veeeeery slooooow service and I had to use the laptop for the preparatory work.  When the backup has been restored, he implemented the administrative account of origin, besides I have created a new.  Now, most of the files are under the old administrative account, and I need to move the OLD files in the NEW Admin account.

Would sincerely appreciate your very specific instructions? ... step by step, if possible? Not quite a prolific technician, but no slouch, not more.

    Thank you very much!

You can't really merge two accounts. You can copy data from one account to the other. Folder options > view tab > check "Show hidden files". Then go to:

c:\Documents and Settings\name of the old account and copy the files to My Documents, desktop, Favorites in folders in your new user account. When you have all your stuff, you can delete the old user account from the control panel > user accounts. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • When I try to copy the files from Windows Mail on Vista on a USB key I get the message "you are about to copy this file without its properties

I move the file from my old PC which took place with Vista on a new computer running with Win 10 where I have Windows Live Mail is installed.  When I try to copy the files from Windows Mail on Vista on a USB key I get the message "you are about to copy this file without its properties".  After studying this issue on the forums, a proposed solution was to reformat the drive in NTFS format, I did.  This does not solve the problem.  Any suggestions?  Would it be OK in this case to ignore the message and copy the file without its properties?

Well data files/user of vista should work. Yes a NTFS format is good, go to run, or cmd, type:

diskmgmt.msc in msc, R.click on the material, delete the partition, create one, format. Use the default settings,

Once thru, L.click the disk, go to actions, all, select 'enable '.

In addition, live windows for vista is microsoft discontinud

I just let it open & watch... (do not copy & delete any file)

It's very difficult to do on a stand-alone computer.  You can use folder/file permissions (NTFS) rights to deny the ability of the user to remove.  Prevent copying is a more serious problem.

  • Why can't I managed to install the iso file in my USB? I've tried different usb and hard drives and disassembled a lot or time usb but when, it comes up with an error copying the files on and it stops loading? What should I do?

Why am I unable to download and copy iso files that need to go into the USB drive, it always comes up with an error when copying the installation files and none of the solutions have worked (some of the things I've tried are different from the USB, disassemble and repeat the download process windows files)

You cannot use a simple USB as a source and destination. You must copy the ISO file (it's a single file, not the full installer) in your Documents folder and then run BCA to create a USB installation program. 2015 macs do not create a USB installation program.

How do slove this problem please to continue to work with my PC?

You should not use these programs, but if you want a USB key to install then you should make an ISO file and then using Unebootin according to me this is a best software to USB for xp and if you have windows 7 installed in one of your system, then you can use tool usb windows 7.

I can't get rid of all the e-mail addresses I have copied and pasted.  No matter what I will always appear if I hit paste again.  This is a shared computer and I would rather not have my copy and paste the files stored on the computer, after that I quit.

    Hi Ron,

You can copy or move information (for example, text and pictures) between files and programs using temporary storage called the Clipboard. The Clipboard is not visible, so even if you use it to copy and paste information, you never actually see the Clipboard when you do this.

The Clipboard contains a block of information at a time. Whenever you copy information to the Clipboard, the old contents of the Clipboard is replaced by the new information.

When you shut down the computer everything is stuck in the memory of the Clipboard is cleared.

Please click the below mentioned link to get an overview of the clip board memory.
