  You access AOL using a web browser or an email client?  If an e-mail client, which?  How are you trying to send a file?  What happens when you try?  Tell us what "cannot open" means exactly and after the complete and original of the error text that you receive.

  Because you created the document, open it in Works, and then press Ctrl + A to select all the text, press Ctrl + C to copy the selection, and then open an e-mail message, click in the body of the message and press Ctrl + V to paste the selection in the message.

• Works word processor hangs when pasting! Help!

  In the Microsoft Works word processor, whenever I try to paste text, no matter how little the amount, Word crashes and closes. It is not my computer, it's the Microsoft Works word processor - I downloaded the demo of Microsoft Office and when I tried to paste into Word, it works perfectly. Is there a solution for this? It's really a concern, and it bounces on my last nerve.

• I can't print multiple copies of a document to MS Works 9.0, Works word processor.

  I have a one page document that contains only a short sentence.
  I save it.
  OK, now I want to print three copies of this document of a page.
  I can only print one page.
  Checking or unchecking collate (as others have reported a fix for) makes no difference.
  However, I can print several copies of my little a MS Works 9.0 page Works Spreadsheet and Works database.
  I also uninstalled then reinstalled the MS Works 9.0 CD.
  Still can print only one page at the time MS Works 9.0, from Works word processor?

  Version of Microsoft Windows 6.0.6002 Build 6002 X 86 based PC (32-bit)

  The problem might actually be an add-on or another program to the origin of the problem and you should check that
  1st.

  What antivirus/antispyware/security products do you have on the machine? Be one you have NEVER on it
  machines, including those that you have uninstalled (they leave leftovers behind which can cause strange problems).

  Start - all programs - Accessores - system tools - IE with no Addons - does this work better?

  IE - Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - tab click on restore, and then click Reset - apply / OK

  IE - Tools - Internet Options - Security - reset all Zones by default level - apply / OK

  Close IE and try again IE or IE with no Addons

  IE - tools - manage Addons (for sure disable SSV2 if it is there, it is no longer necessary but Java always install

  Windows Defender - tools - software explore - look for problems with programs that do not look right. Permit
  are usually OK and "unauthorized" are not always bad. If in doubt about a program to ask about it here.

  are bad, but some can cause your question. (Toolbars are BHO)

  If nothing else works you can try this however I would use as a last resort.

  IE - Tools - Internet Options - Advanced Options - Security Section - clear the check box enable memory Protection to mitigate
  Online - APPLY - OK attacks close and restart IE

  I created a spreadsheet in Microsoft Works word processor supplied with Windows 7 Home Premium.

  The problem is that my spreadsheet does not print correctly.

  My spreadsheet is printing in the form of 2 pages (with 1/2 of the worksheet on each page), when instead, I want everything on one page.

  I don't understand why.

  I have even highlighted the range of cells that I want to print and attributed them to a specified print area.

  However, I always have the same question.

  I'm sorry I've been away.

  The message reads: Microsoft works word processing has stopped working. {a problem caused blocking the program works correctly windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.}

  I tried a system restore and it does not work so I went back 1 week more and tried but still no luck.

  everything stored in the processor Works suddenly has the letters in each word packed together. other works such as database functions are not affected.  can find no way to change this.  stored objects can be opened OK in Word 2003.  I've got windows 5.1 sp3.

  The only thing I can think of is to change the font used in the document.  If it works, you can try to change it to the original font and see whether or not the problem reappears.

• Save a Word Doc from desktop in Windows Works word processor

  Last week, the ability to save a document, Word of Windows works as an Office Word Document (doc) has disappeared from the choices in the Save as drop down in my Windows program, it works.  The only options that remain now are works (wks), Rich Text, only text and HTML.  In the year and a half, I had this laptop and Windows Vista with works that I was always able to save as doc when I send a document to those who have the office window--suddenly it is no longer possible.  I looked everywhere to see if there is an option where I can add the 'doc' save option back without success.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
