  You have a thorny problem and a bit tricky here.

  A few months ago, at my work, I got a new iMac (for me). As I was getting started upward, furnished and ready to use, at some point it must be synchronized with my iPad, which was nearby. So, when I open my desktop and screen saver system preferences, I see a multitude of images that I took with my iPad and I somehow was stored and transferred to my work machine. One of these pictures is, shall we say, I don't like for anyone to see except my other significant... and it is possible that I can receive an offer for a new job at some point in the near future. Needless to say, I don't want to leave this pic on my machine here for someone else to run into.

  Problem is that I can't remove it. It won't let me select it; -button stays grayed out.   You can do it with the computer laptop connection via Wireless, however, if you have a lot of backup it will take forever. So consider for backup of the laptop with a cable to connect to the router in the same way as the office.

  In the opposite case. It's a question of set up two computers to share files.

  A few months back I took advantage of this offer to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 for a discounted price. After that I downloaded the upgrade file, Upgrade Advisor told me that because I'm using Vista business and I was upgrade 7, that my computer would probably be home must pass through with a 'clean install', thus wiping my hard drive.

  Office (Word, etc.) comes for free with Windows. you have to buy.

  If Office is preinstalled, it was a test.

  A clean installation will wipe everything.

  You cannot transfer programs.

  It needs to be reinstalled from the original media.

  I could open your Explorer of files and go to C:\Users\Vanbee (or any folder of your user name), then right click on the folder on the desktop it there and go to properties.  On the Security tab, make sure that you have a full control on the folder.
